Steam Next: Perfect Heist 2 Demo now playable for free!
Players now have the opportunity to try out the Perfect Heist 2 beta version, featuring a completely reworked multiplayer experience, 3 different maps, and 32 playable classes!
Please keep in mind that while singleplayer content will be available in the full release on December, 10th, this demo only features multiplayer content, so join other players or invite your friends!
This demo will be available until October, 5th and players can leave any feedback they have here or on the games discord , where you can also find others to play with!
PERFECT HEIST 2 ANNOUNCED: Reworked netcode, tons of new features + map editor!
Perfect Heist 2 will release at the end of this year!
After over 30,000 hours of Perfect Heist played in the last 3 years, it is time for a completely new version of the game, completely reworked from scratch to deliver a much smoother experience, especially in multiplayer. While there will still be updates for the first part, the old code doesn't allow for big changes, which is why I started working on Perfect Heist 2, which benefits greatly from everything learned from the old game.
This has allowed for an engine upgrade, greatly increased performance, a much more reliable netcode, and lots of new gameplay features like destructible walls!
In the current Alpha version of Perfect Heist 2, there are already 20 different classes for the cops and robbers, most of them are completely new with new weapon kits and abilities and some are refined versions of your favorite classes from the first game. Each class has a unique active and passive ability, 2 different weapons, ranging from classic guns like pistols, rifles, and SMGs to more exotic variants like grappling hooks, rocket launchers, and grenade launchers for all kinds of grenades.
Another focus while developing Perfect Heist 2 was the gunplay, while being sneaky and avoiding gunfights as a robber is still the way to play the game, an exciting new weapons system with new animations, models, aiming-down sights, reloading, recoil, and greatly improved hit registration has been added to make the shooting aspect of the game a lot more fun.
There are also new maps complementing reworked and refined versions of your favorite maps from the first game, with a new, detailed city surrounding the map and NPCs wandering around further around the bank. If you have an idea for a fun map, you can also easily build your own maps in the games beginner-friendly level editor, where you can create your own banks to rob and share them with your friends and the whole community with the games new Steam Workshop integration, allowing for easy sharing and playing of player-created maps.

Update #16: Cop bot improvements, AI bugfixes and more achievement bugfixes
This update will fix the AI not moving in some situations on the maps "City Bank" and "Double Bank" and adds more possible fixes for some achievements not unlocking for some players.
Another common request was to reduce the strength of the AI cop bot, it will now identify robbers slower and has greatly reduced HP if set to "Easy" in the settings, players looking for a bigger challenge can change the bot difficulty to "Hard", where the cop bot is a lot stronger.
If you still experience issues with the NPCs not moving or achievements not unlocking please let me know!
Update #15: Gunplay and AI improvements
The gunplay felt pretty horrible in the game, so I worked on an improved hit detection that allows for faster bullets. The increase in bullet velocity should result in much smoother and more precise gunplay and makes it easier to hit opponents, especially at longer ranges. I also improved the AI pathfinding to prevent the AI from getting stuck at Double Bank for example.
This update is currently only available at the test-branch, so make sure you switch to this version if you want to help by testing it out. Just right-click Perfect Heist from the Steam library, pick ''Properties'' then open ''BETAS'' tab and select 'test-branch'.

Update #14: Fixed issues with spawning at round start
This update introduces a fix for one of the most annoying issues: Sometimes, players would spawn at the completely wrong locations after a new round started, usually teleporting back to the correct position after a few seconds, but it still was pretty game-breaking. Sorry the issue took that long to resolve, but it seems to be an issue with Unreal Engine, not directly related to the spawn code. Update #13: Fixed Achievments and other Bugfixes!
This update fixes some of the biggest and most annoying bugs that unfortunately were hard to track down, the most notable fixed bugs are:
- sometimes jewels wouldn't be picked up, but the robber still got the money FIXED!
- players could use the "Quick Matchmaking" function to enter password-protected games without knowing the password FIXED!
- some achievements where unobtainable FIXED!
Update #12: New map and performance improvements!
This update introduces lots of optimization work, especially for the CPU, so players with weaker processors should hopefully experience higher frame rates and no stuttering. It also features the fourth map of the game called "Double Bank". It's a big map that's divided into two sections, a money bank and a jewellery, and will work best with a higher amount of players due to its big size. It features two vaults, and lots of jewellery and money to steal, as well as hidden weapons and tools for the robbers (or cops) to find and utilize.
Since this is the first iteration of the new map, everything is subject to change and your feedback would be very appreciated. Have fun!
Update #11: New building models!
This update completely changes all buildings around the map (except the bank) on the "Central Bank" map. The buildings are much more detailed and are more aligned with the overall graphics style of the game. All other maps will receive the same update soon if any issues that might occur with the new buildings are sorted out. I also did a lot of optimization work to make sure the performance of the game isn't made worse with the new, higher-detailed buildings.

Update #10: Coop-Mode and bugfixes!
After lots of requests, I added the first version of a coop mode, where you can play together with your friends against bots. To try it out, just host your own game and make sure to enable "Coop Mode". The game will then put all human players of a server into the same team, and place an equivalent number of bots in the other team. Keep in mind that this is only the first iteration, so please report any bugs and issues you find to help me improve this game mode.
I also fixed a few other bugs like server log-in issues, and some debug messages being printed when they shouldn't have been.
Update #9: Support for Spanish, French, German and Russian!
Along with some bugfixes and minor improvements, this updates introduces the first iteration of support for multiple languages. The number of languages supported and the quality of the translations will be improved in future updates as well, right now the game supports English, French, German, Russian and Spanish.
Hopefully, this makes it easier for players that don't speak English well to have fun as well. Have fun!
