Picross Touch Version 2.01 Changelog

Just a quick patch to address the bigger problems that were created with 2.00 release. I am reading all your comments and suggestions, so be aware that you are not being ignored. More updates to come.

  • Fixed issue with workshop returning to Page 1 everytime.
  • Fixed issue with results panel cutting off in some resolutions.
  • Adjusted the Fade In effect on screen transitions. Let me know if it lags and if so I'll remove this completely.
  • Fixed issue where 30x30 and 35x35 levels were not showing up in User Created / User Favorites.
  • Fixed issue with Level Select Button color when changing themes.
  • Removed a bad puzzle that was crashing the game due to missing difficulty data.


Extra note:
I had to flag some levels as incompatible to resolve a crashing problem. I will attempt to restore them in a later patch.

Picross Touch Version 2.00 Changelog

Big update this round. Feel free to leave comments if you find issues, or want to discuss a feature. I kinda lost track of what I have added, but this is a list of the major changes:

  • Added a Theme Editor with full steam workshop support.
  • Added a Theme Browser.
  • Modified the Options page to include Help on Hover.
  • Added an in-game Zoom. Grid too close? Zoom it out.
  • Added a "Go to Next Puzzle" option. This will automatically find the next incomplete puzzle.
  • Added a "Difficulty Bar". A small bar will show below a workshop puzzle to indicate how difficult it is (Beta).
  • Optimized the Editor significantly.
  • Removed Black Font option. Black fonts must be set with Theme Editor now.
  • Fixed bug with "View Submissions" and "View Favorites".
  • Fixed Linux color bug.
  • Changed most screens to be more cohesive.
  • Various other bug fixes and enhancements.

Picross Touch 1.93 Changelog

Version 1.93 brings a big update to the Puzzle Solver used in the Editor. A Picross Touch player by the name of Patrick Hogg decided to write a picross puzzle solver for fun. He then contacted me and provided me with the source code to his solver. His implementation is so efficient that it allows for larger puzzles to be validated.

He allowed me to use his code, and I implemented it into Picross Touch.

Full changelog:

  • Added support for 30x30 and 35x35 puzzle sizes.
  • Replaced puzzle solver with Patrick Hogg's implementation.
  • Removed the auto-zoom feature in the Editor.
  • Fixed a small bug with leaderboards.


Make sure to set your FPS Lock option to 240 for larger puzzles. This will provide much more fluid drawing.

Picross Touch 1.92 Changelog


  • Added missing puzzle title to clear screen when "Hide puzzle name" enabled.
  • Fixed issue with Leaderboards not loading properly.
  • Attempted to fix issue where some people had a crash on startup. (let me know if resolved, thanks).
  • Set Mac graphics settings to "Auto". Should resolve slowdown issue for some people.
  • Fixed issue with color selection in Linux (hopefully).
  • Removed feature where you could right-click on a workshop level to view creator. It was spamming the steam api causing problems.
  • Fixed some issues with the "View Details" page on workshop puzzles.

Picross Touch 1.91 Changelog


  • Attempt to fix issue with game crashing after completing a workshop level. The issue was intermittent and I think it has been fixed. But let me know if it still crashes for you.
  • Added a new option "Hide Level Names". Will hide the workshop level names when enabled. You must beat the level before the name will be displayed.
  • Adjusted the default FPS Lock option to 120 frames per second.
  • Fixed issue with filters on "Submissions" and "Created" workshop browsing pages.
