4000 Workshop Puzzles!

We have reached over 4000 submitted workshop puzzles! Wow!

Workshop support was added to Picross Touch on October 7th 2016. Since then, players have submitted over 4000 levels to the workshop. When it was first launched, I would wonder if we would reach 500 levels. Never did I expect this game to explode to this amount of community participation.

I would like to take this moment to thank everyone that has helped make Picross Touch the game it is today.

Picross Touch 1.79 Changelog

Added 25x25 puzzle support.

When creating 25x25 puzzles, the validation may take some time. I sped up the algorithm some, but the bottleneck is that all possibilities must be verified in order to ensure that the puzzle has only one unique solution.

Added a new game play style option, "Preview Mode". Enable it in options to try it out.

  • Game will now continue to update when not in focus.
  • Fixed a bug where partially completed level sets itself to solved.
  • Fixed an issue where total time not refreshing properly.
  • Added time records to cloud save.
  • Added a 6 second timeout for rating submit buttons.
  • Added "Preview Mode" play style option (off by default).

  • Added a "Go To Page" option in Workshop Level Browser.
  • Added a Timer option.


The Timer option will keep track of how long it takes for you to complete each puzzle. If you have already completed a puzzle previously, you would of course have to complete it again in order for the game to register your time.

If you do not like this option, you can turn it off in the Options menu.

  • Fixed issue with wrong workshop level completed count.
  • Wrong level count should also fix an issue with achievements.
  • Fixed issue with playing offline, where vote screen would lock up.
  • Added an indicator to show when problems encountered while connecting to steam. Will lock out Editor and Workshop screens when this happens.

Save file wiped?

If you are one of the users that has had their save file wiped since the last update, you can attempt to fix the issue by running the following command via Command Prompt. RUN AT OWN RISK.

The command is:

reg copy "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\jgallant\Picross Touch" "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\AppDataLow\Software\jgallant\Picross Touch" /f /s



The above command will copy the old key location to the new location. This change was done when I updated my version of Unity. I apologize for any inconvenience.
