  • Four different Super Shots. When a red star is on the player, press (SKILL) to shoot!

The AI has been ramped up one more time. We've implemented many new decision nodes for the AI.

  • Changed the controls preview pre-match screen to display an image of one of the connected joysticks and its currently selected control setup and corresponding glyph.
  • Added animations for camera-folk looking north.
  • Added a button within joystick configuration that opens the Steam controller config directly.
  • Changed the random tournaments option to not be random by default. Instead tournaments will start with their predefined brackets and participants.
  • Added a build number display at the Main Menu for easy identification of current release version, specially on gameplay videos you use to report bugs.
  • Changed the in-game HUD to accommodate for Co-Op player indicators, names, stamina bar, etc...
  • Changed colors code for the Locked and Unavailable icons at the skills menu.
  • Implemented the Offside Law and immediate camera replay for offside.
  • Implemented a choice to start your subsequent career slots without the Situations mechanic. You can also disable the situations for an existing career save slot. Beware that this cannot be re-activated once disabled.
  • Changed the looks of the input text fields.

BALANCE IMPROVEMENTS:



  • Changed the initial career players skills: Now up to 9 players in your roster will start with a Ball Control skill and there is a 70% chance that for all 30 players that they will also have one of the nine 0-stars skills.
  • Implemented a new difficulty selection screen at game start. This gives you the choice for three presets that can tailor your game experience to match your expertise with soccer games.
  • Front slide tackle foul/yellow cards balance (less chances of foul).
  • Goalkeeper reaction time balance (more saves if kick from a far position).
  • Fast kick (kick button tap) now kicks the ball high only in the defensive half of the pitch.

BUG-FIXES:



  • Solved the kick off bug, preventing starting the game.
  • Fixed a bug causing the kick particle to remain visible.
  • Fixed a bug that caused some Back buttons to return two menu levels back instead of one.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the speed of the texts at the How To Play screens to change with the render frame rate.

New Controls style! Import/Export Teams! Now Deutsch, French, Italian & Chinese

In this new update, we have added new features, many of them suggested by the community, as well as resolved many bugs that have been reported to us.

Amongst the most often received feedback were:

"My controller has so many buttons... I want to use them"
"There are too many actions in one single button"

We've implemented a new "Standard" style controls mode, in addition to the usual "Classic PCS" style, so you can play the way you want. (This topic is still under review and may be changed in the future).
You may setup individual mappings for each controls style separately, exactly as you could before through the Steam Controller Configurator.

You can choose the controls style under the "Sides" screen, at every Pre-Match screen (much like other soccer videogames).
The "Sides" screen displays a Key/Button at the bottom indicating how to get into Controller Settings, by default this is the N key for the keyboard.

TECHNICAL RELEASE NOTES:



GAMEPLAY IMPROVEMENTS:



  • A major new optimization was made, increasing the game's FPS in all areas.
  • Goalkeeper stun time reduced.
  • Crossing with a quick button press improved (when aiming at the poles from the sides of the field).
  • Added a "Selected Preset" option for Career Teams, under Team Manager -> Strategy, for quickly choosing between 3 different team setups. Your starters, substitutes and reserve players.
  • Changed the icons at the Career Board HUD and implemented animations to emphasize what area is affected by a decision.
  • Added the "Pass/Shot" charge bars, at the bottom of the HUD. It also indicates current Pass or Shot being performed, as well as the stamina remaining for the current run.
  • Implemented a Loading Screen. The game has been getting bigger and bigger!! This screen provides visual feedback when the game runs background loading instead of plain black.

BUGFIXES:



  • Fixed a bug that caused GK's with the Ball Control skill to act like they had the ball under their feet when it was in their hands.
  • Changed the behaviour of the Edit Club screen, so that the ESC key, acts like Accept button, instead of Cancel, this way you can skip through scenes with your changes saved.
  • Fixed a bug that cause some long player names to display out of the background highlight bounds.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the game to be stuck at Penalty Kicks when there were objects/obstacles.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the ball to be inside the goal without counting as a goal.4

Career Mode Update! - Gameplay Improvements + Portuguese translations updated

This update includes several improvements that have been suggested by the community. Your help is welcome and your commentary is most helpful.

- We've updated Skills for the teams at the Global Cup. We didn't want to change the custom team setups you might have created, therefore, it requires you to manually trigger this update through an option we've created under Gameplay Settings.

TECHNICAL RELEASE NOTES:



GAMEPLAY:



  • FPS optimization. The game now runs a lot faster.
  • Defensive AI improvement.
  • Player slippery while running and pass/kick the ball.
  • Global Cup teams skills balance. The players now have a lot of skills in action. NOTE: Must be reset manually going to Settings | Gameplay | Reset Teams Database.
  • Reduced the error when kick with error (red ball).
  • Placed kick to goal skill (pressing [PASS] and aiming to the poles from 0.9s to 1.0s) performs a lob shoot towards the corner of the goal.
  • Short pass fix. Except in assisted mode, the pass is in the facing direction of the player.
  • Select player fix: If an AI player touches an opponent with the ball, it is selected.
  • Chip kick in front of the goalkeeper is now done with the skill button.
  • Goalkeeper can charge pressing the goalkeeper button ((Y) button / [K] Key) when an opponent has the ball and is not selected.
  • Goalkeeper now passes with one or two hands, charging using [PASS] button.
  • Goalkeeper now kicks with a volley kick, charging using [KICK] button.
  • Goalkeeper volley kick skill balanced to perform a counter attack.
  • Goalkeeper AI running to the ball improvement.
  • Balanced the prices and skills for goalkeepers and enabled the possibility for GKs to access regular player skills.
  • Select player: Improved the player selection logic for "Switch to convenient player".
  • Added an arrow that shows the next player to be selected when pressing the change player button.
  • Added an option to turn off the board's voices.

BUGFIXES:



  • Fixed an issue that happened when winning the last match at Career League while your team is CPU controlled, that caused the game not to count that victory.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the players tracks and footprints to stay in screen when running a replay.
  • Fixed an issue that caused some tournaments to repeat the first series of 7 rounds, instead of creating the 7 new series left.
  • Fixed some menus and the pause screen that had the music cut off when navigating.

Career Mode Update! - Spanish translations updated
