Introducing: A New Skin System!
Hi Captains!
We hope you have had some excellent matches during July’s Tournament Finals, and are enjoying the End of Summer Splash.
The Tournament Prize for July was a Limited Edition Skin for the Small Reactor Room, Summitran Reactor Core! An alternate version, Gerbaltech Kinetic Reactor is now available in the Dove Store.
New Skin System
Next week we will be releasing Galaxy Patch 997.4, which will include a new system for handling Room Skins.
Instead of all those Skin Kits clogging up your Inventory, players will be able to ‘Use’ each kit to permanently allocate it as an Unlocked Skin for your account.
When the update is available, players will also be able to select Skins to use for customized Missiles or Craft Skins. This option is available by opening the Info Panel for the desired Ammo or Craft.
The new system is a great opportunity for new options to customize your account, with new options for Missiles, Lazers, Shields, and more!
2022 Yearly Prizes
The new Skin system also enables us to hand out the Yearly Prize for 2022, the Hydra Drone Hangar! This rare skin will feature a completely animated Drone Hangar with a unique set of Hydra Craft Skins. Craft Skins closely resemble their default version to prevent confusion mid-battle.
Congratulations to Fleet Hydra for their Yearly Tournament victory!
We would also like to remind any players in the Top 100 Captains for 2022 list to check their registered email addresses for details about their 2022 T-shirt Prize, pictured below. The T-shirt is available in XXS, XS, S, M, L, and XL sizes and will only cost shipping fees.
**IMPORTANT NOTE:** We have noticed an increase in attempts to trick players into sharing their login details. Please remember to NEVER share your password/login information with another user for ANY reason.
While the End of Summer Splash is still in full swing, we’d like to add a quick reminder that the Moon Festival Event will be starting on the 1st of September – and will introduce a new member to Moon Mariner’s crime-fighting team. Look out galactic evil-doers, Mars Mariner is on her way!

Galaxy Community Update 7
Hi Captains!
We hope you have had some excellent matches during June’s Tournament Finals.
The Tournament Prize for June was a Limited Edition Accessory, Summit’s Sphere! An alternate version, Hydrone 2.0, is now available in the Dove Store.
Pixel Starships will be seeing many significant changes in the near future, and we would like to take this opportunity to provide an update.
Fleet Contributions
Included in Patch 0.997.1 (released), Fleets now have the ability to set a Minimum Star Contribution Requirement in order to receive Tournament Rewards.
These requirements can be set by Fleet Admirals within the Fleet Options Menu, and are clearly displayed to all Members.
Fleet members will not see increased rewards in the event that others do not meet set Requirements. Requirements can be changed during Tournament Finals Week.
Rush Command
Arriving in a future update, The Rush Command Crew Ability will be undergoing core mechanic changes.
While not yet confirmed, these changes will likely be tied to the Crew’s Current Room HP value.
Missile Rooms
Arriving in a future update, all Missile Rooms will use ENGINEERING as their core supporting Stat.
This includes the Missile Launcher, Multi-Missile Launcher, Rocket Artillery Launcher, Auxiliary Missile Launcher, Cruise Missile Launcher, and Missile Array Rooms. As previously mentioned, the Hwacha Artillery Launcher also uses the ENG stat.
Division Tournament Rewards
Arriving in a future update, the amount of Doves and Starbux provided to each Tournament Division will undergo rebalancing to highlight the different needs between developing and top Fleets.
More information will be available in the near future.
We will be unveiling our plans for more new and updated content soon. In particular, Captains can look forward to enhanced Live AI Events, Spice Trade Encounters, Traders, and Rewards!
With the Supernova Battle Season soon coming to a close, don’t forget to get those Tasks finished and be on the lookout for the Mid-Summer Season!
The End of Summer Splash Event is also just around the corner, with plenty more to follow.

Upholding Fair Play: Action Report
Hi Captains!
Recently, we became aware of an unfortunate situation where some players found and exploited a duplication bug associated with our Battle Pass feature, detailed here.
This bug allowed certain players to gain an unfair advantage over others, disrupting the balance of the game and the integrity of the Tournament Finals for the month of May.
While we appreciate the ingenuity of our players and their deep engagement with the game, exploiting a bug contradicts the principles of Fair Play and is against the Pixel Starships EULA.
As a result, we have taken direct action against any account identified as breaching this agreement.
Users identified as having exploited this bug will face appropriate consequences. After a thorough investigation, 80+ players who have engaged in this exploit will face temporary or permanent Account bans. These players have also had any contributing Tournament Stars removed.
This difficult decision was made to uphold the integrity of Pixel Starships and to emphasize our stance on providing a fair and competitive environment.
We remain dedicated to upholding these values to ensure that every player has an enjoyable experience.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or frustration this situation may have caused. For many of us, Pixel Starships is more than just a game – it’s a vibrant community and a shared passion.
Thank you for your continued dedication and for making Pixel Starships into the great community it is today.
Good Hunting, Captains!
