Pizza, Pasta and... Zombies?

You heard right there. Assemble Entertainment just released a new zombie-apocalypse rogue-lite on September 19 and wants to share the news with everyone!

Deadly Days is a zombie apocalypse rouge-lite in a pixel world. The game lets you rescue different survivors in a proceduraly generated world. Every run is a completely new experience and lets you choose between a number of items, specializations as well as powers to make your fight against the zombie hordes easier.



Find new weapons, craft new weapons and level them, to make them even stronger!



After certain days and a lot of trial and error you might end up fighting against the leader of the zombies and have a thrilling combat towards beating the game.

Maintenance Update - 10100111001


Dear players,

With this maintenance update we fix several bugs and graphical glitches. We also made some further changes to the delivery service. Have fun and great pizza!

Changes



General

  • Added working watch hands to Big Ben in London and the Puerta del Sol in Madrid.
  • Updated the engine version from Unity 2017.3.1p4 to 2017.4.19f1.


Bug fixes



General

  • Fixed some of the faulty furniture highlighting that happened when loading old save games.
  • A bug in the notification service was fixed that could hang up the game during a campaign mission.
  • Fixed street tiles to prevent texture bleeding (white flickering) when zooming out.
  • Fixed some room dividers which could not be set next to each other.
  • Due to the engine update some black screen issues as well as some causes for startup crashes are now fixed (please report any further issues to team@gentlymadstudios.com).

Fatman Update

Dear players,

with the Fatman update, we bring back an old acquaintance from Pizza Connection 2. A pizza eating maniac who relentlessly feasts on your pizzas, as long as they meet his exquisite taste. In addition, you can now research restaurant managers to automate some tasks. Besides that, we fixed some errors with loading and saving games and we prevented stalling AI behavior. We also made changes to the priority chain when baking pizza, so delivery should work better.

General

  • The Fatman, known from Pizza Connection 2, was added to the game. He can be activated in Free Game mode. (Note: The Fatman is not active during the campaign.)

  • A description and overview of the Fatman was added to the Glossary. The entry is shown if a free game was started with the Fatman enabled.
  • A manager can be activated by researching it in Research Level 3. Afterwards, the manager can be activated in the restaurant’s inspector. This feature can be used to automate several tasks in a restaurant.

  • The restaurant displays an icon above the roof to show if a manager is active for the specific restaurant.
  • Added new loading screens.


Bug fixes



General

  • A bug was fixed that prevented save games from loading.
  • A bug was fixed that prevented researching after a save game was loaded.
  • Changed the pizza baking queue so having delivery and a normal restaurant should work more efficiently without long waiting times.
  • Fixed stalled AI behavior in some cases.
  • Removed overlapping parking lots from the opera in Washington.
  • Fixed faulty ground tiles in Madrid and Berlin.
  • Fixed room dividers that were not correctly aligned.

Christmas Update - Ho. Ho. Oh.

Halloween Update - You thought I was dead?


Dear Players,

we bring you the Pizza Connection 3 halloween update. This update includes several bug fixes, new halloween furniture to decorate your restaurants and avatar characteristics. In addition to customizing your avatar visually you can now adjust several personal attributes that have an economic impact in the game.

Changes



General

  • Added characteristic points to the free mode.
  • The player is now able to distribute characteristic points in the free mode menu to balance the game for his needs. However, before one of the five characteristics can be increased the player has to free points by decreasing another characteristic. Hovering over the name of a characteristic will provide a tooltip with info about the effect.

  • Characteristics are disabled for the campaign.
  • Added a set of new furniture items to celebrate Halloween.

  • Added a new statue to decorations that gives a little hint for upcoming updates.
  • Small performance update for all dynamic objects (citizens, cars).


Bug fixes



General

  • LINUX: Added a checkbox to the game options that can be toggled in case of input issues. If input fields seem to work oddly try to turn this option on/off.

Pizza Connection 3 NEW FREE content incoming
After numerous patches and content updates we officially declared the work on Pizza Connection 3 to be finished in June. Now – as with every good Italian – there is a delicious surprise for the last course: Dessert on the house! For Pizza Connection 3, this means: We are announcing two new free content updates! The first update will be released this year. We won't reveal the exact content yet, but developer Gentlymad Studios has released a mysterious graphic for the announcement, which contains first hints...
