Greetings! Big news this morning. Patch 1.1.3 has been released and is the first major content update for Pizza Delivery 3000 since launching on Steam Early Access. It has been a long time coming - and this update is a giant step closer towards the ultimate vision for the game. Enough rambling.... time to cover what this patch is all about:
Added a mini-map to the driver HUD to help you navigate your way around town.
Implemented a skill point system to the game.
Added shift progression! You can now continue your pizza delivery career beyond just the first day.
You can now spend your hard earned tip money on upgrades for the HoverCraft in between shifts.
Upgrades and driver stats now carry over between shifts.
You can now view you shift stats and career stats through the pause menu.
Revamped the main menu and how the player enters the game upon launch.
Began implementation of a High Score system **note: Not active in this patch but the framework has been coded into the game and it will be available in the near future!
Multiple bug fixes, tweaks, and minor improvements.
This marks a major stepping stone towards getting the game into a state where it can be played the way it was originally designed.
Thank you so much to everyone who has purchased the game since launch, provided feedback, sent support or encouragement - you have all helped make this journey possible. Happy deliveries! Drop us a message through the discussion boards with any feedback or bug reports from this patch.

September Update
Happy September - to everybody who has picked up a copy of the game, added it to their Wishlist, or reached out to provide feedback - a heartfelt thank you!
There are still a few quirks to iron out of the summer patch I've been promising, and I wanted to take some time to provide in depth transparency on what is currently happening with the Early Access phase of Pizza Delivery 3000.
The reality of the current development situation is simply this; I spent three years working on the game before launching on Early Access in March, and while I am extremely proud of where it is at today... there is still significant work to be done to make it a "good game". After such a long development grind, I had to walk away from the code for a while to reset creatively. The summer patch is nearly complete - but I am taking a few weeks to focus on another creative endeavor and decompress from the world of pizza. This will help in the long run - allowing me to come back with fresh eyes and bring the game to the level it needs to be in order to provide a fun experience filled with incentive to come back and play again and again.
I'll make an effort to provide some more regular (smaller) updates to keep all of you delivery drivers out there up to speed!
Thanks for reading. Thanks for playing. Keep checking back - more to come!

Monday Morning Musings
March 21st, 2022 - Launch Day +7
Happy Monday everyone! Today marks one week since the launch of Pizza Delivery 3000… but more importantly it begins the first developer blog in my follow up commitment of providing weekly post launch support and community outreach.
One of my many goals with the Early Access launch of Pizza Delivery 3000 has been to establish a community and connect with those playing the game. I’ve had a lot of fun designing and developing the game up to this point but I feel there is a lot of untapped potential in the development road ahead - and until now the only sounding board I’ve had is a select few individuals. I’d like to start getting a broader sense of what people love/hate about the game in its current state… tweaks and features they would most like to see implemented, how is the gameplay scaling based on player skill level - too hard? Too easy?
Similar to my last game, Asteroid Defender! - I’ve always had the goal of implementing a dynamic music system that flows with the playstyle of the current game session- enhancing the experience with that magic only music can create. However, that system along with custom music tracks has not been finished. In my playtesting sessions after launch I quickly realized in my excitement to release the game into the wild I didn’t even include basic placeholder music - giving a sense of emptiness to the gameplay experience that I did not intend.
I’m currently working on a patch to fix this and should have it out in the next few days. Things are taking a little longer this month being an indie game developer still supporting myself by working a full time job outside of game development - and it’s spring break… in the mountains… during ski season… after a pandemic. Basically that equals too many humans and not enough time to work on my true passion - this!
Stay tuned - I’ll have a patch out this week to implement music into the game before shifting my attention towards getting the high score system working properly - along with other fixes, tweaks, updates, and more. Thank you for all the kind words and support so far and I look forward to continuing development on Pizza Delivery 3000 as I work towards bringing my full vision to life.
