Hello Terraformers!

We've just updated a new version (v1.517) on the development branch.
To try it, see the "How to switch branches?" question in the FAQ.

This version fixes mutliple bugs and improves some content. This version is a release candidate, meaning that if no critical bugs are found, it will go live.

Let us know if you experience significant performances changes or new critical bugs.

As usual, restart Steam to get the update, and backup your save before trying the dev branch.
All players must have the same version to play co-op.
If you have issues launching the game, remove all your mods before reporting bugs.


Temporary changelog :

  • Selenea : Lots of containers now contains high tier loot to help the player if Selenea is choosen as a starting planet
  • Selenea : Adds a new small base
  • Add 4 new musics tracks (2 for each moons)
  • New messages send at the end of the terraforming of each moons
  • New popup message at the first time player use the travel rocket
  • Fixes issues with map markers and resource extraction
  • Fixes posters rotation issues
  • Add 2 new skins, 2 new posters, 2 new animal effigies. Find them on loot on each planets. (loot containers have been reset in case you loot them already)
  • Reduce build size
  • Multiple environments fixes and improvements

  • Fixed an issue with interplanetary shuttle auto-launching also disabled if returning with not delivered content
  • Co-op: New animals are now visible to clients too
  • Blazar on Selenea is now minable with Ore Extractors T3 (not harvesting robot anymore)
  • New frog eggs are now available in incubator
  • Fixed an issue with tree and insects natural spawns not working properly anymore
  • Fuse growth can now be crafted in quartz craft station
  • Outside farm 2 grows crops faster
  • Various environment fixes (super alloy rods now properly harvestable)
  • New texts for construction limitations of Portals generators & Ore extractors on moons
  • Fishes on aqualis can only be harvested after life stage
  • Adds 2 energy fuses and a circuit board in the crashed satelite of the first rising island to avoid getting stuck on aqualis

We've just updated a new version (v1.515) on the development branch.

Temporary changelog :

  • Selenea can be selected as a starting planet
  • Harvesting robot is now linked to the map. Meaning, if you have the t2 informations rocket you can harvest different things on different planet. Depending on your terraforming stage.
  • Energy fuse is now buildable after a certain SysTi is reached
  • New frogs can be unlocked & crafted
  • Added two new animals species. They will spawn on Selenea & Aqualis once correct terra stage is reached.
  • Disable interplanetary shuttle auto launch when requesting items and coming back with them
  • Farm T2 can now be constructed on grids
  • Phosphorous is no longer recognized as Sulfur
  • Fixed an issue with clients not able to select advanced resources in ore extractors
  • Fixed an issue causing trees from specific planets naturally growing on other planets even if not manually grown yet
  • Fixed issues with map markers from another planet displayed on the current planet
  • Restored compatibility with old save files (pre terratokens and pre game settings versions)
  • Fixed an issue with water not appearing if terraforming a planet too quickly
  • Trade or Interplanetary windows not closing anymore when another launch is happening
  • Fixed an issue with all drones potentially returning to a station and not getting new tasks when switching planets
  • DNA Sequencers and Incubators still working even if not on the active planet
  • Fixed potential issues when switching planets during a meteo event
  • Gas Extractor T1 properly generating Nitrogen depending on the current planet breathable terraformation stage
  • Beehives no longer affected by growth optimizers
  • Fixed an issue with no larvae spawning after switching planet

The Moons Update release date announcement!

Hello terraformers!

The "Moons Update" will be released on May 19th!



We are almost ready to share with you our biggest update to date! The "Moons Update" is aimed at players that want more of the Planet Crafter experience.


This update will allow you to go to two new moons, once you've finished terraforming your first planet. Once on a new moon, you'll be able to terraform it, while keeping all your blueprints, knowledge and equipment. You'll be able to exchange resources between those planets and even automating everything.


Unlock new technologies, expand your operations, discover new moons, and terraform a whole solar system!



Frequently Asked Questions



  • Is this update going to be free?
    Yes!

  • Do I need to start a new game to play it?
    No, you can continue with your save file and unlock the rocket to travel between planets once you have finished terraforming a planet.

  • Can I go from Prime, to Humble, to the moons?
    Yes! If you have the Humble DLC, you'll be able to travel between all those planets & moons!

  • Can I go to the moons from the Humble DLC?
    Yes! If you started your adventure on planet Humble, you will unlock the travel rocket once you terraformed Humble too.

  • If I play in co-op, can I be on one planet and my friend on another?
    No, all players will play on the same planet or moon at the same time.

  • If I'm on a moon, does my terraforming process continue on other planets?
    Yes, all terraforming, drones, ore extraction, autocrafting, etc. continues while you travel from planets to planets.

  • If I started a playthrough on Prime, and another one on Humble, will I be able to merge my save files?
    No, unfortunately, you won't be able to merge save files. So you'll have to choose from which one to start again.

We've just updated a new version (v1.514) on the development branch.

This is a STEP THREE of the moons update playtest : You can now go on the second moon : Aqualis! Use the travel rocket to go there, in the same way you did for Selenea.

Major

  • Improve terraformating visual changes on Selenea. Small changes on terraformating levels.
  • Rocket reactor t2 is now craftable when correct Systi level is reached
  • New T2 Rockets for heat and pressure
  • Add a new fish, a new frog and a new tree seed on Selenea. Find them by exploring the world or in specific containers. Containers containing them have been reseted so you can loot them again if you have already.
  • Recycler T2 now correctly takes 45s to recycle an item.
  • Fuse cartridge & Insects fuse can now be crafted in quartz craft station
  • Removed the ability to trade items from different planets with trade rockets. With the new ability to change planets, this is not usefull anymore.

Misc.

  • Tree spreader spawn a bit less trees
  • Fixed issue with emotes sending the player to the center of the map.
  • Added a build constraint for planet specific constructibles (Only for portals generator for now)
  • Added identifier and destination on planetary exchange shuttles.

  • Travel rocket recipe now require 2 energy cells & one energy fuse in addition to the old recipe. We did this to increase the cost of going back and forth between moon, to preserve the sense of adventure and to increase the value of exchange shuttles.
  • It's no longer possible to create portals on moons.
  • Fuse trade rocket can now be crafted in quartz crafter.
  • Cosmic quartz unlocks a bit later.
  • Recycler T2 won't destroy an object anymore if not enough space to retrieve all the recipe in the destination inventory.
  • Fixed issues with post-processing not being properly reset when switching planets.
  • Fixed issue with planetary depot not displayed for clients.
  • Solar system screen now properly display planets depending on their terraforming level.
  • Fixed various issues with the elevator system.
  • Improved map markers system to try to avoid getting markers from multiple planets on the same map.
  • Improved the interplanetary trade rockets to try to avoid getting them stuck in the air and not landing.
  • Various fixes and tweaks to Selenea, added back ice resources on it.
  • Improved the feedback system to send all the log files, the current save and a screenshot.

Hello Terraformers!

We've just updated a new version (v1.510) on the development branch.
To try it, see the "How to switch branches?" question in the FAQ.

This version is the STEP TWO of the moons update playtest. You will now be able to visit a new free moon : Selenea. To try it, use the Travel rocket. You don't require the Humble DLC anymore to try this.

This version brings significant changes with the previous version, so be sure to check out the change log.

  • The Planetary Delivery Depot has completely been reworked. Now, you'll be able to set a specific resource that Exchange Shuttles will deliver to it if their cargo contains some. More infos inside the game.
  • The display of different units is back to how it was before. SySti now have new steps for better readability.
  • Some constructions are now blocked if some requirements are not met on a planet (mostly the ones with animals / insects that now require a certain oxygen treshold)
  • Fixed an issue with auto crafters using vegetables not yet fully grown
  • The growth fuse should now work correctly
  • Increase animal shelter animal output and change plants & insects output
