Planet Nine

Version Release 1.0.7

Another bug fix update.
I'm not quite sure what is happening, but it appears that various scripts have reset themselves.
I don't know this is Unity's fault, my aging development machine, or my own fault.
Anyhow. I will strive to fix these issues as they are reported.

Mouse and keyboard bug fixed.

Hi all,
It has been brought to my attention that there was a bug in the controls.
Apparently, the game would default to gamepad controls (I think), rendering the mouse and keyboard control useless.

I have now removed the gamepad option from the game (it was pretty useless in my opinion) and the game controls should work as advertised.

WSAD for movement and mouse for aiming.

The game is now running version 1.0.2.

  • Added a missing scrollbar feature to resolution menu.
  • Control Menu navigation fix and UI setup.
  • Icon Added to the game.

v1.0.2 Released 19.02.2019

  • Gamepad option removed from the game. The gamepad was causing major control issues for some players.

Cheers.

Planet Nine is now live

It's actually been live for more than 12 hours...

Now has the moment come and passed that I've been dreading. Releasing Planet Nine into the wild or in this case, Steam.

This game is a single dev development. One developer, limited budget and assets from the Unity3D asset store. It's been a hassle. Work, family and game development is hard, but worth it, I think.

I must say that I quite enjoyed making this game. It was fun seeing it coming to life and creating the world of Planet Nine.

I've got some plans for the world of Planet Nine and I'm already planning the next game.

I hope everybody enjoys the game, It starts up a bit slow, but the action grows more intense the more you play the game.

Cheers,
Tryggvi

Testers wanted

Planet Nine is looking for some testers.

If you are interested please send an email to jotunngames@gmail.com.

Testers will get a Steam Beta key that will work after the game is released.

Testers will be expected to document errors, write a text about the error and if possible, how to duplicate the error.
A savegame would also seriously help.

Cheerio.
