Saturn Surfing?!
I added a new mission, and I personally believe it is the best one yet! You can now ride on (top of) the space ship as it goes on a flight! It is located down below in the hangar. Just jump onto the glowing green question, and hang on for dear life, while running back and forth on the wings collecting the waypoints! I had a blast making and testing this, I hope you have a blast playing it!
I also made it so you can turn quicker when using your jetpack, as well as improved the zoom feature I added last update!
New Abilities
Happy New Year! I have added a couple features to your abilities tab and made a few other updates:
- Ability: Turn Rate - Click the Abilities tab, and adjust the turn rate to the right to make it quicker / more sensitive, and to the left to make it less sensitive.
- Ability: Zoom - Click in the Abilities tab and slide zoom somewhat to the left to zoom in, and to the right to zoom out! You can zoom way in or way out (please let me know if you think I should reduce the limits. It would be a funny challenge to be zoomed all the way out, and turn rate all the way down. I'd love to see someone try that and post it to YouTube! ːwinter2019joyfultearsdogː
- Don't worry - If you get the settings too far out of whack, and don't like them, just hit the "Default" button to put things back to normal, and you can adjust from there.
- Some bugs have been fixed, hopefully no new ones introduced ːwinter2019happydogː
- The Saturn base now has a hangar / observation deck at its base. I have an idea for a fun mission to add there soon...
Saturn Sojourn
Take a sojourn to Saturn and explore!
- Saturn is now playable! There are two missions, a race mission and a mission to fix the fusion reactor! They are quite challenging to get diamond on, are you up for the challenge? I plan on adding more missions soon.
- There are a couple interesting challenges I posted to my Facebook page as well!
- There is a poll on my Facebook page on when the snow man should be around: - year around, just the Winter, or just December.
Oh man, a snow man!
I have added a snow man somewhere in Planetary Settlers, can anyone find it and upload a picture of it before 2020 arrives? Use F12 to take a screenshot, then upload it to the community page!
Saturn Preview
Here is a preview of the new Saturn level I am working on. The mission will take place in the upper atmosphere of Saturn, with a nice view of the rings, shown here. I expect to have the level released soon in an upcoming update. I am planning to have it be another floating base repair mission, as well as hosting a number of the regular missions (e.g. quizzes, targets, etc...). I plan eventually to add a mission where you plunge into the depths of the clouds of Saturn to explore!

Planetary Settlers Labor of Love Award
Since Planetary Settler's release in Early Access over a year ago, I have been faithfully updating it. I plan to continue working it to completion, at which point I will fully release it! This year, I have finished adding Pluto, added Jupiter, and am now working on Saturn. I have also added a number of new missions and fixed bugs. There is even a ghost I added for the Halloween event. I am a solo indie developer, so I can only do so much, but I plan to keep plugging away to the end. I have not yet turned a profit, but I still continue in the hopes that it might, and will at least benefit some people, even if it doesn't.

Starry Skies Update (Milky Way)
⭐️ Planetary Settlers has a new graphics update! Now you can see the Milky Way when you look up to view the stars! You can even see the constellations! Can you spot the Big Dipper? How about the other constellations?
⭐️ I have also added a fade out / fade in transition scene when you take the elevator or die / respawn.
⭐️ The elevator doors also work now (upon returning to Mars, or building the elevator on Jupiter).
Special Delivery
The Quivakons have notified me that they delivered a huge diamond as a trick, but how is this a trick? A huge diamond sounds like a really awesome treat to me, even better than the gold they were going to deliver! They even sent a picture of where it is located, but they won't say where it is located. They say that finding it is part of the trick, but they also say there is another big trick or two involved with this diamond! Can someone please investigate, find this diamond, and see what the trick is? Your mission: Locate the huge diamond, share your findings. Include the location of the diamond (e.g. what planet it is on, and describe any tricks they played) by replying to this post!
Ghost Footage release
Well, it doesn't look like anyone found the ghost, it must have been hidden too well! The colonist who reported the ghost is releasing a video of it, though he says it has vanished now! The video premieres at 6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (about 30 minutes from the time of this post)! The Quivakons have stated they will also be delivering a silly trick (trick or treat) prize in game, even though no one found the ghost!
