I just wanted to make a quick status update since I know that it was a long time since the last announcement on the progress of Plantera 2. The reason for not having a new announcement in a long time is that the game is feature complete so there have not really been anything "new and exciting" to report :)
Right now I am basically doing runs of the game to see that everything is as I want it to be and as polished as I can make it before sending it out for bug testing. The last "run" I did I did find some things that I wanted to change so that is basically what I am doing now. One of the thing was implementing a "Tool Tip" that appears over buttons etc to better explain what they do. The other one was to make outlines on everything when you mouse over items when you select things to Move and Trash. This was quite time consuming though since I have to create outlines by hand for everything.
Also I created a Bee that I might implement..
I know it has taken a very very long time, much longer than I myself ever anticipated and even though there is almost 3 times more objects than in the first Plantera I was expecting to be finished much sooner. However I will never rush anything out before I think it is fully complete.
Anyhow my goal is to make runs of the game until I no longer find anything I really want to change or polish more. Then I will localize the game and send it out to some testers. Then it will release :)

Was focusing on trying to do the important but boring and time consuming work of ironing out bugs and balancing for Plantera 2 release and noticed the water looked kind of bare even with the fish and dolphins in it so could not resist going on one of my regular less important tangent to add some water decorations. As with other decorations in the game they give Deco Points which is more important than regular Coins in the later game stage.
And yes I know it is taking its time, but it is coming! ;) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Deco Points are now fully integrated in Plantera 2! In the early game it is as usual important to focus on gathering Coins. But in the later game it will become more and more important to focus on making the garden as varied and beautiful as possible as that will increase the gardens Deco Points which transfers into Golden Acorns. Golden Acorns will also grow from the big Magic Tree and an active lively garden will also speed up the production of Golden Acorns, this includes all passive and active actions, every frog that catches a butterfly or dolphin that punches a fish contributes to the production! :) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
