The search functionality only looks for games on your local network. Any game you wish to connect to that is not local will need an IP address entered manually. Please see the Port Forwarding post if you wish to host a game for your friends or the Online Connection Alternative post if you do not have the ability to do port forwarding.
Supported Resolutions
Plastic Playground was created with 1920 x 1080 and 1024 x 768 as the target resolutions. If you are having trouble clicking on any menu items you can go to AppData/Local/Tomorrow Arts and edit the settings.ini file to manually change your resolution to either one and set fullscreen accordingly. Setting the resolution to anything other than those two may or may not work. Do so at your own risk.
Online Connection Alternative
If you don't have access to your router settings to do port forwarding, you are behind multiple fire walls or your toys keep coming to life and sabotage your router a great alternative is to use Hamachi. This is a nice free tool that will allow you to punch through and connect with your friends. You will be limited to only 5 people unless you pay but that allows for 2 v 2 which is what the game was designed around.
Port Forwarding
Greetings from the Playground! In order to host a game for you and your buddies to play please ensure that you have port 4815 forwarded as UDP.
