A few days ago two critical bugs came to my attention; one that let the player use the bed interaction when they were not supposed to (and that could have severe consequences if they did), and another that prevents the player from completing the game at the end of the second week. I just finished fixing them, and have uploaded the fixes for you!
I found the bugs thanks to a small youtube channel named ZockZimmer and I wanted to do a shout out to the video in question, as it helped me identify the problems! :instantcoffee:
In addition, I took the liberty of adding a text file with the lyrics for Clear Skies which features the awesome voice of my brother Chris. If you have downloaded the game's OST, the lyrics will be in the Soundtrack folder together with the music. :headset:
In other news, Please Knock on My Door was recently nominated for Best Gameplay in the Games 4 Change Awards! I KNOW RIGHT? Pretty cool.
The award ceremony will be at the event itself, running June 28-30 in New York. Through this competition PKoMD is also featured in the Polygon x Games for Change People's Choice Award! If PKoMD offered you something special, please consider voting for it in the competition.
That's all for this time! :eveningtree:
Take care,

Patch V1.06 and about those translations
Hello!
You might be wondering, 'where did 1.05 go?' Well, I sneaked it on to Steam to test a few things about a week back, found a change I needed to make, and so here is 1.06! Yay!
It fixes an issue where a player could get stuck in the living room, unable to interact with anything. It was a rare issue, but it still feels good to have it fixed. :instantcoffee:
Now, about those translations. I keep getting the occasional request, so I felt it would be good to adress it in an open post so I can direct people here in the future. If you're reading this because I directed you here; Welcome! I hope the future is treating you great.
Short answer: I still have no plans to implement translations. If that's all the info you need, feel free to move on with your internet activities.
Long answer: During the development leading up to the release of PKoMD, I worked crazy amounts of overtime. I won't go deep into it, but it left me exhausted to the point where it was very difficult to work on the game after it was released. I am now beginning to feel more adjusted, and my work/life balance is reaching somewhat normal levels again. I'm afraid that, promising another feature like this, would only lead me down another rabbit hole of exhaustion and everything that comes with. I won't say that it will never happen in the future. I will say, though, that I can't promise anything. I do appreciate all of your support, and I feel like asking for translations is a good indicator that there are people out there who like the game. Or at the very least, who would like to play it. :eveningtree:
Thank you for reading this far! I appreciate your support, and am thankful for all the love you've shown the game. I read every single user review that gets posted, so if you want to share your thoughts with me, that's a sure way of doing it!
Take care,
Michael L
V1.04 Patchnotes and a write-up of the narrative!
Hello and merry Christmas!
I hope the holidays are treating you well! The patch 1.04 fixes a bug that would prevent one of the game's endings from triggering when using the computer.
I just posted a thread on the Steam forum where I go through the narrative, as some of you have sent me questions regarding the storyline / characters.
As it contains a ton of spoilers I recommend not reading it until you have finished all three endings, or at the very least one of them. :instantcoffee:
Please feel free to get in touch if you have any thoughts about the game! Take care.
All the best,
Michael L
V1.03 Patchnotes + Gamereactor Review
Hey everyone!
I've finally managed to fix the UI bugs that prevented the game from being properly displayed at resolutions above 1920x1080! I'd still recommend playing the game at that resolution, but at least now the game is playable in larger resolutions as well! :)
In other news, the game received a 10/10 from Gamereactor Norway! It was re-released with a translation on the German site, I've linked them below if you'd like to have a read:
Earlier this week Eurogamer posted a review about Please Knock on My Door, and I wanted to share it with you. To be completely honest, it is a bit strange to see how the game is able to connect so strongly with people. It really warms my heart.
It's been 3 years in the making, but now it's finally done and I'm proud to say that both me and Ola are super happy with the result. Please remember to leave a review after playing it and let us know what you thought.
All the best,
Michael
