Celebrating Wholesome Games With A New Demo Update 🎉
Let's celebrate!
Hey everyone! I'm thrilled to announce that Pocket Wheels will be participating in the Wholesome Games Steam Celebration from today until the 21st of August 🚗
Because woohoo, the demo received an update...
Leading up to this event, I made quite some changes to the demo. This is a very exciting update for me because I feel like every little improvement I have tinkered with over the last few weeks really adds to the game and makes it a much better experience as a whole. Please check out the changelog below for more details (except for bug fixes, because there were far too many...)!

Of course, I would love to know what you think of these changes, so I decided to make use of the new Steam feature and created a dedicated store page for the demo. This way, you will not only be able to leave your feedback on the Discord server, but also in the review section right here on Steam. So if you have a minute or two, feel free to leave a review!

Added: New UI that shows collected coins, batteries, and best times.
Added: Option to manually select the controller icons.
Added: Steam Deck support.
Added: New Logo and Endscreen.
Added: Level introduction cutscene.
Improved: The color grading was drastically changed giving the game a more vibrant look.
Improved: Shadows were reworked and now look much better.
Improved: The controls are fine tuned based on player feedback.
Improved: A lot more juice was added to the animations.
Improved: Many more little tweaks for you to find!
Fixed: There were countless bugs since the last version and it would be too much to list all of them.
Removed: Native Linux support was dropped because Proton just works much better.

Just in time for the Steam Games Baked In Germany event, I have some exciting news for you!
Pocket Wheels and its Steam page have received a visual upgrade in the form of a new key artwork! 🎨 Painted by the amazing Kévin-Mark Bonein, the vibrant colours and fun composition are a perfect match for the game. If you look closely, you'll find lots of little tidbits and Easter eggs scattered throughout the artwork, making it really fun to explore!

Pocket Wheels is now playable on Mac & Linux with the new demo update!

It's finally happening, Pocket Wheels will be part of the upcoming Steam Next Fest. This means that it will be publicly playable for the first time! I'm very excited about this and I can't wait to hear what you think about the game.
