Patch #6 now available!

Hi there dear fans and virtual chiefs,

here we are again with a new patch to fix some of those nasty leftover bugs and to solve an important game blocker you were waiting for!

Here comes the complete changelog that shows you what issues we fixed:

-Roadblocks will not be saved.

-Pause screen / save menu issue.

-Dollar symbol is shown instead of euro.

-Normal textures start to pop up in strategic view.

-[Mission 27 + 28] Stretched mission icon.

-(Almost) no parking spots for the speed camera van in Districts 5 and 6.

-Different fill levels of the health bar for the same employee.

-Daily statistics can pop up during missions which can be annoying.

-Helicopter landing icon stays visible after going to the main menu and back or selecting another unit.

-Helicopter landing icon disappears after moving the mouse cursor off the map.

-When loading a savegame with a helicopter in-air the rotor blades do not spin.

And we also fixed one very annoying blocker you were waiting for:
-The max officer count does not increase by unlocking room upgrades!

New SANDBOX MODE added!

Dear fans of Police Tactics: IMPERIO!

You haven't heard from us for quite some time, but here we are back with stunning news!
Our team was working very hard on a new patch that brings a new feature to the game which was desired by you guys very often!

You can now play Police Tactics: IMPERIO in a SANDBOX MODE!!!

Aren't these great news?

There are many parameters you can adjust for the perfect sandbox game that suits you the most!
Below you can see which options you can set:

Difficulty settings/options
Tick boxes and sliders will give the player the possibility to modify the following:
-the police and criminal unit strength
-crime durations
-vehicle maintenance costs
-HQ upgrade costs
-security level (at the beginning)
-security level increase/decrease rate
-penalties for bad district safety (on/off)
-mission types (which missions can spawn and which don’t).


District count
District 1 to 6:
-The player can select the number of districts available.
-District 1 always needs to be active due to the HQ but apart from that the player could also choose district 4 and 6 (this would leave the other districts locked).


Starting money
-Three pre-set values
-The amount of cash received on start.


Maximum available room upgrades
Option: 0 to 2
-The number of upgrades available for each room in the HQ.
-For instance: setting this to one allows one upgrade level after the room is purchased. Apart from that the player can also choose which rooms are already unlocked in the HQ and which level they have.

E.g. 3 Bonus rooms (chosen by the player) with maximum room upgrades set to 1 and they are already upgraded once. That means that the player starts with those three rooms already fully upgraded for that playthrough.


Maximum simultaneous case count
-Three pre-set values
-The number of simultaneous random crimes spawned in the game. New crimes will/can spawn until this amount of active crimes is reached.
-This is a min/max selection so that the player can choose freely between min and max.
-We will make it possible to add more simultaneous crimes then in the campaign but we will display a warning that this could cause performance issues.


Crew size
-small, medium, large (for Starting crew size)
-At the beginning of the game the player is given a core crew to quick start.
-This parameter allows the player to control the crew size.
-Another parameter will set the maximum number of units the player can hire at the same time (max unit count)
-We will make it possible to raise the max unit count to a higher level than in the campaign but we will display a warning that this could cause performance issues.

Patch #5 out now!

Dear Fans,

we have good news for you - Patch #5 is out now and fixes several bugs.
Here you can find the complete changelog for this patch and which bugs were eliminated:

- Riot units often loose to rioters even if their level is much higher
- Missing info for units inside a car / selecting single units inside a car
- Roadblock sometimes still remains after being removed
- Patrol skill does not increase awareness circle
- Rookies (yellow) show as patrol officers (blue) when in cars
- Strategic map is too slow to navigate
- Numbered group 9 is not displayed
- Renaming vehicles and units should be possible
- Being able to skip the whole tutorial
- Feature: Entering/Leaving the strategic view by zooming out/zooming in
- Units returning to HQ should not have emergency lights on

Patch #4 released just now!

Dear fans and virtual police chiefs,

we have wonderful news for you!
Our developers dug back into the code and eliminated several high priority bugs that we could find and that you reported to us.
Here you can find the change log for today's patch #4:

- Prison transporter doesn't carry away captured criminals sometimes.
- Instead of 60 seconds the timer for a mission is 60 minutes.
- [Mission 30] HQ upgrade needed which is already finished.
- [Mission 28] Saving and reloading breaks the save file
- Pedestrians remain standing on the streets and block the traffic/patrols
- Missions pop up in locked districts
- Patrol cars/bikes do not chase after fleeing suspects (pursuit)
- Search and neutralize suspect missions are too hard and not explained very well
- Roadblocks may do not stop pursuits
- Sometimes cars automatically move on their own or to the side of the map
- A criminal is inside the building and the officers can't arrest him
- Not able to purchase a vehicle in the tutorial
- Roadblock units sometimes won't react to criminals they discover

Patch #3 just released!

Hey folks,

we are working hard on fixing those issues and were already able to eliminate the following major bugs with the newest patch:

  • [Mission 30] HQ upgrade needed which is actually already finished
  • Instead of 60 seconds the timer for a mission is 60 minutes.
  • Sometimes 3 Crimes take place at the same location at the same time.
  • Now and then missions pop up in locked districts.


Of course we'll keep on working down the list to get rid of the remaining issues.

Pause function now available!!!

Virtual police chiefs,
It is time to stop the time! ːsteamhappyː

After the localization and intensive testing, we are happy to announce that the new “Pause feature” is now available in Police Tactics: IMPERIO!!!

You can now select the pause feature in the options menu (when you already started a campaign) and when you start a new game.
In the options menu you can find the feature as a check box named “Manual pause enabled” under the category “General”. When starting a new game you can find the option right under the difficulty level.

When the check box is/was ticked, there will be a pause button in the game in the upper left corner right next to the forward button.

The game will now go into pause mode automatically when a story mission window or a tutorial message pops up. This will also affect the camera flights after unlocking a district.

When the tutorial is closed or some kind of interaction is required from the player then the game will continue as normal and the automatic pause will be deactivated. When the pause button is active it should be clearly visible on screen as “Game Paused” in big letters in the top left corner of the screen.

You can also set up patrols and manage units while the pause function is active: rank up, create groups, set up patrols and give orders to units, which will be followed when the pause button is deactivated again (player presses button again). It will also be possible to set up queues of actions (e.g. interrogations) while being in pause mode with holding the shift key.

Pause function incoming!!!

Dear fans, we have great news for you!

As many users were asking for a pause function for Police Tactics: IMPERIO we took this message to heart and finished the initial implementation of the feature!
It is now getting localized and tested, so we can release a new update with the feature next week! ːsteamhappyː

As you may know, as we are a small team it takes a little time for us to implement such new features and to be sure it's ready for release. :)
Of course we will still continue to tweak and fix the game. Our next focus is on fixing the most important bug that you reported and we found in the forums!

[Hotfix] Priority bugs fixed!

Good news everyone!

Thanks to your ongoing feedback and reportings we were able to detect the most important bugs that commonly occurred and already fixed them!
Here you can see which problems we solved so far:

- [MacOS] Saving the game spawns every previously solved issue on the map again
- Prison transporter doesn't carry away captured criminals
- [Quicksave mission 2] Storymission cannot be finished after loading the save
- Savegame does not load properly anymore
- Game crashes randomly sometimes
- Game sometimes randomly crashes during mission 2
- Mission 21 is not solvable since the crime scene display 0/0 criminals to arrest
- A non moving car is blocking the patrol path
- A police vehicle does not responds to the players commands

Of course that's not it. We will continue to gather your feedback and fix bugs to deliver you the best possible gaming experience!
