Predator Simulator - The missing 100 Steam keys

There is a big debate around Predator Simulator and I see people claiming that I lied to them about the 100 free keys on launch. I was even called out to show proof that I did give away the games. I did not feel the need to prove myself when asked rudely and I have already explained why I couldn't, but since the launch 3 days ago, I have given away free copies of the game to anybody who has reached out to me and asked. As many copies as they wanted. Here is a small list of emails I have been sending for last 2-3 days.

Some of these people are press, but majority of them are Steam users who actually followed the announcements, groups, votes and everything else in the GameIndica Group. I love YOU people!

Just today, I have given out 300+ keys to people who have showed their interest. These were potential customers who might have payed for the game, but just because they cared more than the others, I felt obliged to give them the care back. And they surely enjoyed it, so did I. Because they are the audience who I made the game for.

It makes me very sad that people, especially a fellow indie developer, automatically assumes that if a developer didn't announce everything publicly, means something is fishy about it. And someone has to confront the developer in public, in a way that it hampers the reputation of them while they are chasing their dream. I do not make games for these people. I make it for myself. I make it for someone who actually cares about it. If they enjoy it, they can pay for it and let me make more of it. I thought that's what Indie is all about. But, may be I'm wrong....

New update v1.2 released

Based on the community feedback and suggestions from Jim Sterling's lets play video, we are rolling out a new update.

Improvement Details
--------------------------------

- Graphics improved: Anti aliasing & soft shadow implemented

- UI improved: Skill upgrade arrows included, making it easier to figure out how to upgrade the Predator

- UX improved: All skills unlocked by default rather than going through them one by one.

- Controls improved: Coming out of screenshot mode with Esc key instead of pause button.

- Game dynamics: Defcon levels go up quicker, making it easier to crunch through lower defcon levels.

- Rewards: NPCs have more rewards including diamonds. Gathering diamonds for unlocking skills is much faster.

We appreciate the players taking time and effort to give us their feedback. We will be constantly monitoring the gameplay experiences and roll out updates based on the community inputs.

Thanks

Major update released

So many wonderful things have happened in last 12 hours since the release of Predator Simulator. It is so entertaining to see that people are actually playing my game :-) We received two negative reviews and I had personally reached out to these players to find out about their cause of disappointment and based on their input, a new update has been published just now.

Update v1.1:

1) Character unlock function completely removed. Now the characters will show up as players progress through the defcon levels. This way, the player can focus on the fun factor rather than grinding for "Diamonds". Nobody likes grinding!

2) Ratio of mission rewards and amount of "Diamonds" required to unlock skills has been fixed. So, players can unlock skills easily enough to enjoy the game progression without playing the same mission over and over.

3) Fixed the dullness of the city that was caused by the lack of variation of population. Now, a dozen different types of preys/NPCs come out much earlier in the defcon levels.

4) Ragdoll animation glitch improved. Ragdoll animations are processed in the GPU, so the better GPU you have the smoother they will look and will not glitch out causing chaotic mess :-D

I hope you guys will enjoy the game even more now that the "Grinding" part is removed completely. Please submit the bugs in the forum's "Bug Report" section so we can take care of it ASAP. Happy gaming!

Predator Simulator is Available on Steam now!

Finally! The wait is over! We are so excited to announce the release of Predator Simulator on Steam today! It has been a rough time and a lot of back and forth with both Valve and the Community, but everything sorted out just perfect. There was so much love, passion, rage and sleepless night hours invested in making of this game that when I look back, it seems quite impossible what we have achieved here. We truly hope you will enjoy our creation and encourage us to do better work. Thanks to everyone who were with us on this incredible journey.

Here is the Store Page for our baby :-) Im so proud to see it, I might buy a copy myself hahaha!
