SUPER 56 V1.18 + Loads of other News

Hi SUPER 56ers!

First off we have released a patch which addresses the Eagle Eye Cherub achievement on the Golf Stage. I thought I'd squashed this bug already but it seems I'd missed some conditions. Pretty sure it's fixed now!

So, now that the majority of bugs are fixed we can begin looking at new content. Yay!

After talking with Whisper Games I can confirm that the content drop will be FREE! Which is totally the best price! I'm aiming for it to be a significant update too, with a good amount of new fun things to do in the game along with some surprises.

The soundtrack will be released alongside an upcoming price discount to try to attract more new users to SUPER 56, this will happen before the end of the year.

Finally, SUPER 56 is now STEAM DECK VERIFIED! Which is pretty awesome news too.

Lastly, as of 16:10 GMT I am the current top player on the Daily Challenge, so please come and beat my score heh heh heh

Fixed - After practicing stage RUN AWAY the player would lose input ability when choosing Retry
Fixed - in JP language, stage PRESENT EVIDENCE was impossible to get past first evidence
Fixed - Practice mode music sometimes was doubled up

As always, feedback is welcome, more fixes coming asap

V1.15 Bug fixes are here!

- The statistic 'Times Played' for each stage is now being properly recorded and loaded (PRACTICE plays don't count but I will enable this is people request it)
- Achievement status should be properly showing up in career mode now (not tested, wanted to push asap, feedback is welcome!)

v1.14 Patch now live!

Hi all.

Combined in this update are versions 1.13 and 1.14. Patch notes below:

V1.13 patch notes:

Achievements:
- Act Of Kindness achievement now works (unlocks if you have 300 coins or more)
- Players getting B5 achievement for the first time should now be given the correct achievement (instead of Time Lord)
- Players who are already at Rank B Level 6 prior to this update will be given B5 achievement automatically

Gameplay:
- Added an extra 5 seconds to the 'Pay Attention' game, now it should always display at least one 'PRESS' instruction

- On 'Bounce' the stop can now be skipped a maximum of 20 times to stop the player
from running out of time and failing and from gaining too many points on this stage

Sound:
- Sound mixer properly set in the following stages: Fuel the Car, Feed the Baby, Tennis,
Snake

localisation:
- Best player in world is now being pulled from loc sheet (awaiting translations to add into loc sheet)
- Stage score screen TOTAL and STAGE, Giftbag UI Back button, Giftbag duplicate label now properly localised
- RANK and HISCORE on new game config page is now localised when player is offline
- Game control tip at the bottom of the screen switching back to English now fixed

V1.14 patch notes:

- Mapped audio correctly on intro, skijump stage, golf stage, woof, only shoot bad guys, eat 20 apples, look at camera,
- Fixed the Eagle Eye Cherub achievement
- Made the GiftBag contents easier to see by changing the background
- Fixed: Sometimes after viewing Daily Challenge scores the next standard run would incorrectly save the score to the Daily Challenge leaderboard

SUPER 56 - Launch update and beta testing

Hi everyone!

We have some great news, we've agreed a deal with a publisher to bring SUPER 56 to Steam (and other platforms a little afterwards).

Our publisher will bring more languages support for SUPER 56, including German, Chinese, Japanese, and so forth.

While we initially viewed that the game should release into Early Access very soon we have come to an agreement that SUPER 56 will instead launch fully, this means that the full game will be completed sooner than expected but also that the imminent release of an Early Access version will not.

It's a tough decision to make because we know that a lot of people were looking forward to playing the Early Access version real soon and we feel we've already caused trouble for some people by pushing this release date back once before.

So to make up for this we will be opening up another round of beta testing soon, this will also help us stress test the back-end services (which was why we chose Early Access in the first place).

We will post a Steam Announcement once registration for the beta test becomes available but if you want to get ahead of that and pre-register your interest please join our Discord and let us know and we'll make sure you're at the front of the queue!

Short Delay for Early Access Release



Hello everyone and thank you for your interest in SUPER 56!

This is a quick update to let you know that the game will be delayed by a short while due to an unforeseen event.

As a result we'll be adding language support to the initial Early Access release!

At the moment we can't give you a new release date or confirmation of the languages but don't worry as we'll be able to do that very soon.

SUPER 56 demo now available in SteamNextFest

Hello everyone!

Just a quick announcement to say that upcoming mini-game collection SUPER 56 is now available to play during the Steam Next Fest.



The aim of SUPER 56 is to get the best score possible by completing each stage as fast as you can. Sounds easy, right? Think again...

The demo will feature 10 of the craziest stages that will challenge your ability as a gamer in a variety of different genres, but the twist is your only allowed to use ONE BUTTON!!!

Here are some examples of the stages you'll face:

  • Yoga pose your way through oddly shaped holes in a wall (sound familiar?),
  • button mash a keyboard
  • shoot apples off a guys butt with a bow and arrow,
  • drive around a track through checkpoints and
  • be a totally. normal. slow. hedgehog and collect apples in a truly nostalgic and 90s way.

SUPER 56 Demo available now!

Hello everyone, we're SUPER excited to announce that SUPER 56 will be available via Steam Early Access 20th February 2023 and you can download the demo right now.



The demo will feature 10 stages from the main game, each very different from the next, to give you a true taste of the eclectic gaming compilation which is SUPER 56. Believe me when I say choosing just 10 was difficult, if we had our way the demo would include all 56 stages (but that wouldn't be much of a demo would it?). The level progression is capped, but you'll still feel the warm and fuzzy feeling in your gut as you rank up and get introduced to (in fun cutscene style) the rivalry between BRONES, KRONOS and their annoying neighbour, JOHN ZOMBIE. Things will get SUPER NASTY!

We'd love you to download the demo and share your thoughts, as any feedback will be vital for development as we head into early access on 20th February. We chose early access as we need your help to test network functionality, as this will be the first game we have developed which has Playfab integrated into the game.

Plus we'd love your feedback on what stages should be included into the main game.
