Multiplayer Patch v1.2.2

Multiplayer Updates

This patch includes some quality-of-life updates, fixes, additions, and a few removals for the multiplayer mode.
Let's start off with what was added.

-Added-
A session timer, currently visible only to the host, has been added to the scoreboard.
A server name input requirement has been added - the field can no longer be left blank.
Added an end-game menu - currently still in development.
Created fixed time limits for sessions.
-- Game Modes now include Free For Fall - 10 minutes, 15 minutes, and No Limit.
Factory, a new map, has cast its shadow into multiplayer mode. This is one of the primary locations in solo mode. - This may receive a lower player limit or decreased zombie count.
A temporary lobby has been created until the better-looking one is completed. This allows the host to start the match at any given player amount. Currently, only the host can see how many players have joined.

--
Now that we've seen all those goodies, let's take a look at what needed taking out.
--

-Removed-
The change map option in multiplayer has been removed. - Session transitions aren't functional enough, yet, to be included.
Removed "Deaths" from the scoreboards. For now, this will not be tracked and no longer affects the player score.

--
So, some new things were added and some items are taken away. What about, you know, the stuff in between?
Strap in! Here we go!

Damage reduction: +17%
Bullet spread decreased during hip-fire while:
- walking (-20%)
- stationary (-25%)

Assault Rifle:
Damage reduction: (-35%) then take 10% more.
Bullet spread increase:
- Aim Down Sights (-50%)
- Stationary (-50)

Pistol:
Damage reduction: (-4%)
Bullet spread increase while walking: (-50%)

Weapon respawn time reduced by 5 seconds.
Health respawn time reduced by 10 seconds.
Ammo respawn time reduced by 5 seconds.

Respawn/Inventory issue:
On respawn, players were holding onto "empty" weapons. This should no longer happen.

Scoreboard:
The scoreboard is now properly showing stats for each player.
The scoring system has changed. With deaths no longer being a factor, at least for now, the scoring system needed reworked.
- Zombies = 1 point
- Players = 4 points
The original system was Zombie(+1), Player(+5), and Death(-3)

Pause/ESC Menu:
If the host had this menu opened while another player joined the session, the host would lose control of their character due to the menu vanishing left with no option to return to the game. This has been fixed.

Red Barrel damage increase: +30%

AI, Zombies, now have a smoother walking rotation and behave less sporadic. Don't worry their intelligence hasn't increased, yet.
Lowered Zombie awareness. Players can get slightly closer before they are noticed.

Patch v1.2.1 - Multiplayer Fixes

Quick Fixes for Multiplayer-

Servers-
Players transitioning from lobbies at the start of a match were losing the ability to control their character.
For now, lobbies have been removed as they were/are the culprit to the control loss and are being looked into.
Temporarily, players will instead join active sessions.

Multiplayer Main Menu also received some new text to assist with input (typing) locations.

Sounds-
Various sounds have been updated and should be spatializing (sounding 3D) properly now.
This includes firing weapons, walking/running, item picks up, etc.

Weapons-
The shotgun has received a firing adjustment to the height and the spawn location of its projectiles. All multiplayer weapons received this update to a similar or lesser degree.
The shotgun fire rate has also been reduced.

AI-
Zombies received an update to their hitbox locations (for projectiles).

Player-
Player speed has been slightly increased
New random spawns were added for the multiplayer matches. This was already implemented, but only for respawns. The random spawn should now occur when entering a match and for respawns.

New Updates! Toxicity Part 2 - Multiplayer

Toxicity Part 2- MULTIPLAYER!
-multiplayer is in beta-
A new Multiplayer Mode has arrived!

The update includes 1 multiplayer game mode, FFA-No Limit, and 2 new multiplayer maps.

Game Mode -
FFA-No Limit
Free For Fall (no teams)
No time limit
No score limit
Zombies are worth points, players are worth more points. Die and lose points.

Shifting perspective! -
Multiplayer mode is in FPS mode, compared to single-player third-person.

Weapons -
2 new weapons have been added to multiplayer.

Maps -
Foundation - Nightmarish world similar to the survival modes.
Hangar- Small complex.

Max player counts per lobby (3 options) -
2 Player
4 Player
8 Player
(Limit might be increased in future updates)

Server create and search (and waiting lobby) -
New option to create your own session and even password-protect it.
Players are able to search for open sessions.
(a waiting lobby has also been created)

Please note: Multiplayer is still in development, but the core has been finished.

Additional game modes such as teams and score 'attack' are currently in development.
More maps are coming soon.
Creatures/Monsters from single-player will be added to multiplayer maps for additional mayhem.
AI improvement for zombies is coming.

Current known multiplayer issues -
Transition issue - When transitioning from a lobby to a map, the connected player may lose control of their character and input (closing the game and rejoining the active session corrects issue)
Scoreboard isn't currently populating correctly for connected players (shows up for the host)
Gun firing and item pickups aren't replicating properly. This is causing external sounds to appear as though you created the sound. Example - another player fires a weapon, it sounds as though you are firing your own.

Other ideas/improvements/issues
Main menu stats button stopped working-- there will be a hotfix for this soon.
Shotgun in multiplayer appears to be shooting a little high

New Look! Main Menu Rebuild

This small patch includes-
The main menu has been rebuilt.
Minor AI updates.
Update to Survival Mode weaponry.

Main Menu Update

The main menu is currently being rebuilt.
A simple black background will temporarily be used.

This initial screen was causing issues with the game launching and transferring back to the main menu from within the game.

New Patch Updates! Toxicity Part 1

Happy Halloween everyone!
The pressure has been building for an exciting new update!

Toxicity Part 1

This update pushes out not just new content, but also a huge dump of performance upgrades!

First, let's look at the performance update.

The intro scene and the initial spawn building were experiencing a form of constipation, causing the frame rate to dip, dramatically.
-- This has been corrected.

Furthermore, the entire map has received a performance update.
These performance updates include improvements in visual appearance, shadows, lighting, and overall frame rate.

---

Community: So, the game has improved. Woo-hoo! But wait, didn't you say something about new content?

PressureWithin: Don't worry, we're getting to that.

---

A mysterious toxic cloud causing a cancerous infection of the land has appeared. Beware, traveler, the spores of the cloud can kill a man if inhaled for too long.

New content added -

PressureWithin Map - This is the classic map. A new infection is spreading throughout the city, attaching itself to buildings, foliage, and houses creating new obstacles.
A new toxic cloud has been added that roams across the land obstructing your vision.
-Staying in this cloud for extended periods of time is not recommended.
-Keep an eye out, it's a silent fog and you won't see it until it is right upon you.

Survival Mode -

A new game mode designed to test your resolve. A simple objective, survive. Search the area for ammo, weapons, and vending machines.
-All enemies are active in this mode

That's not all!

The new Survival Mode comes with a Daytime map and, for the discerning ladies and gents, **Drum Roll** a Nighttime map. Dun-dun-dun!

Blood Money Update -

Blood money earned throughout gameplay can now be saved and used in other games!
Earn Blood Money in easy? Want to use it for hard mode? Bring it along with you! A word of caution, death removes a hefty sum.

Stats System Update -

Per community suggestion, a new stats button has appeared!

The current tracking system includes the fastest times for PressureWithin, the longest times for Survival, and various blood money stats.
-More stats were, and still are, being considered. - But this is a fair starting point.

Misc Updates/Bug Fixes -

The inventory UI has been updated to be easier to see -- In a future update, the UI will receive an overhaul.
Blood money updates to various UI components.
Corrected transition issues loading from one map to another map.
