Inside the Gameplay: Even more Prison Guard Daily Routines PART 2
I hope you're ready to learn what else awaits you in the full version of Prison Simulator. The game launches on November 4th exclusively on Steam.
Workshop
While in Prison, all inmates have is time. So why not make them more productive and earn some cash for the Prison? So each day bunch of inmates works shifts in the workshop.
Your role is to pick the perfect guys for the tasks. (If you screw this up and select the members of rival gangs, they will beat the shit out of each other). Assign them to their stations and make sure that all of them actually work.
But you know how it is. Accidents happen, and someone might get hurt; there are times when they might misuse the blowtorch (def not by accident), and you'll need to search for your inner firefighter.
But you can always decide to make your prisoners work overtime to work off the damage. The decision is yours.
Searching packages
Drugs, tools, weapons. You won't believe what these convicts will get in their packages. And their close ones tend to be very creative in smuggling prohibited items. So your job is to search through all the boxes. If you overlook anything - your fellow prison guards will lose respect for ya. Things might get ugly.
Visiting Room
Family and friends visiting the Prisoners is their only occasion to have contact with the outside world. But you know – Prison is the place where Convicts should obey rules. And one rule about having guests is that – you cannot spend there all day. Your job is to make sure that the visit is not too long and that you keep your inmates' emotions in check. (yup, especially those negative ones)
But you know – as a Prison Guard, you have a choice. You can let someone sit a bit longer (for a bribe ofc), but it may come with a price. Of what kind? You can check for yourself.
Did I mention that this Prison also has a special room for more "intimate encounters"? 😉
Monitoring
Observe your Inmates and check if they're not doing anything malicious. In case of any suspicious behaviors – look for the closest CO and guide him.
Checking the applications
Prisoners have a right to ask for a release due to special occasions like a funeral. Sometimes they want to file a complaint or a request. And some of them are filing for a pardon. So you have to dig through that paper, check all the signatures, stamps, and content of these documents before you Approve or Deny someone's application.
Double-check – cause mistakes in this field have consequences.
Execution
Among all your Prisoners, there will be ones who committed the most brutal crimes. The only journey that waits for them is the one to the Death Cell. And your job is to escort them… and manage the whole process. While the entire experience is rather grim, there're rules and you need to ensure that everything is in check.
Releasing the Prisoners
Before you release a Prisoner, you need to follow the utmost detail of the procedure. Check if all documents are correct, search him. If everything is ok – you're good to give him back his belongings and release him to the rest of the society.

Inside Gameplay: Prison Guard Daily Routines PART 1
I bet you're curious about all the things you'll be able to do in the full version of Prison Simulator. So without further ado - let's dive into all the Routines you need to perform as a Prison Guard.
Cell Shakedown
You don't want any contraband and illegal stuff to go unnoticed under your command, do you? So check out every inch of the cells. Trust me - inmates are desperate. They will hide stuff even in the shitter. Once you find some hidden stashes, it's up to you to decide what are you gonna do with your findings.
Are you gonna do the right thing and confiscate the stashed stuff? Or maybe you'll leave it where it was? Or take it for yourself?
Prisoners' Reception
You're the "Welcome Committee " for the new Prisoners. Your job as a Prison Guard is to make sure that you're taking in the right guy. That means - fingerprints and documentation checks. (You don't want to bring in the wrong guy, do you?) Check the personal items that the new guy wants to bring in (you won't believe what people can smuggle in a shampoo bottle). Give away the pack of basic supplies and wish "good luck" to this poor sod.
Prison Yard
Even these poor Jail bastards need to take a breath of fresh air. But don't forget that they're still a bunch of degenerates who need constant supervision. So have an eye on everyone. Stop the fights! Punish the vandals! Hell - you can even order them to get back in the cells if they don't know how to behave. You're calling the shots.
Cafeteria
You need to make sure that no one will start a riot over the spoon of a mush. So maintain peace and order at any cost. No fights, shouting in the mess hall. So if any of that happens, you need to be swift on your feet and act quickly. If it seems that they won't obey, you're allowed to use force. Or try to solve the problem verbally. It's up to you.
Attendance Check
The best way to check is if you don't have any fugitives here. First, arm yourself with your trusty clicker. Then, open every cell in the block and start the counting. Of course, some of your Prisoners won't cooperate. That's where you need to use your "persuasion" techniques. You can either yell at someone, make him step out of his cell, or just count him either way. Your choice.
But remember - you need to have them in check.
Shower
I'm waiting for all the jokes in the comments ;) But srsly - hygiene is essential. Every person who has been in the men's locker room knows that. Here is no different. There are too many inmates and too few showers. So your job is to assign prisoners to empty cabins. Check out the washed-out and still make sure that they are on their best behavior. Is someone taking too much time, and that makes everyone waiting and getting angry? You know what to do - act as a Prison Guard would.
