Hey Privateers! We know it has been a LONG time since our last update. Many of you have probably lost hope that we were going to keep working on it. We are sorry it has taken so long. Nonetheless, we are super excited to finally release the lasted changes we have been working on. The theme of this update is "The Journey" and it has a completely new experience for travelling to your event destinations. It also brings in a new "Ambitions" system that randomizes the victory conditions on each play through. After playing with the changes we think it really is getting much closer to our complete vision for the game (but not quite there yet)!
Below is a list of the some of the changes in the build…
---- v0.34.0 ---- (November 2020) - New travel experience for getting to your mission destination. - New overworld events used during travel. - Update tutorial to teach mechanics of new travel scene - New crew wide buffs which can be applied based on event results. - Added a new resource called rations which your crew require. - Without rations your crew will become hungry and starve. - Victory conditions have been reworked to be randomized per playthrough - Finished adding the bonuses for several banners - New UI for viewing your ship statistics - New UI for viewing your ambition progress (victory conditions) - Adjust balance around progression of game difficulty - Changed loot drop formulas. More challenging enemies give much more loot. - Improved readability of several UI windows Fixed TONS of bugs that show up in edge cases

Hey Everyone! I just wanted to drop a note to all the new players we picked up in the recent "Talk like a Pirate" day sale. Thanks for picking up the game!
It has been a long time since we have pushed and update for Privateers. I want to let everyone know that we do have a substantial update that is about ready to ship. It features a completely new travel experience which makes getting to your event destination much more engaging. Beyond that, it revamps how victory works in the game to make each play through more interesting. So, stay tuned for it as soon as we can finish testing and get it out.

Boats! Boats! Boats! Update Released.
Hey Privateers! Our latest update is now live for you to play. The theme of the update is "Boats! Boats! Boats!" and as you can guess, it is filled with new features around ships in the game. We hope you enjoy it! Below is a list of the some of the changes in the build…
---- v0.33.0 ---- - Ships now can have different color themes - Replaced the in game ships with nicer sprites - There a multiple types of ship profiles now - There is new tile tinting for islands and caves to add variety - Events can now allow you to commandeer ships - It is possible to capture custom legendary ships with special properties - A bunch of icons have been added for different abilities - Fixed a bunch of bugs - Upgraded engine to Unity 2019.2

Privateers Released!
We are super excited that Privateers is finally live to early access this morning. It has been a long 4 year journey, but we are super excited to finally share our passion project with everyone. We are looking forward to having adventures and journeys with you all whether you choose to be a pirate scourge of the seas or to uphold the law for king and country.
