BMW 1-Series Coupe Stanceworks Edition
Inspired by the BMW experts over at Stanceworks, the 1-Series M-Coupé Stanceworks Edition is a special edition of BMW’s popular 1-Series road car already available in Project CARS.

Sporting a body kit inspired by BMW’s successful GT racing machinery, the car's aero package generates up to 350lbf of downforce at 150mph. Other features include a performance-grade braking system, a new exhaust system and Fifteen52 Formula LTW Monoblock wheels.

The competition-style conversion continues inside the car as the Stanceworks 1-Series comes with a full racing rollcage, bucket seats as well as a performance steering wheel and an electronic Motec display.

BMW 2002 Stanceworks Edition
Stanceworks have also created a special version of a true BMW classic, as Project CARS users can exclusively enjoy the BMW 2002 Stanceworks edition.
Based on BMW’s ultra-rare 2002 Turbo road car, this special edition is inspired by BMW’s successful 1970s tin-top racers, featuring touring car-style fenders, taped headlights and hood-mounted mirrors.

Other features include Fifteen52 Integrale SC three-piece wheels, a single windscreen wiper and a twin side-exit exhaust.

Inside, the car sports a stripped interior with a contemporary racing rollcage and classic bucket seats.

The car's standard turbo engine has replaced by a 2.0L M12/6 Formula 2 engine, producing over 260hp @ 8000rpm, making the 2002 Turbo Stanceworks a potent competitor in historic touring car races.

MX-5 Rad Bul Formula Drift
Formula Drift Racing star “Mad” Mike Whiddett has gained a reputation for building some of the most extreme drifting machinery on this planet and his newest project is undoubtedly the most spectacular – The MX-5 RadBul Formula Drift.

Don’t be fooled by the MX-5 name as the RadBul Formula Drift might be based on Mazda’s popular MX-5 road car but other than that, the car has little to do with the Japanese roadster you might see in the street.

Weighing just 1200 kilograms and being able to throw up to 1500hp at the competition, the MX-5 RadBul undoubtedly ranks among the most extreme and most successful drift cars ever built.

KTM X-Bow
The X-Bow is motorcycle specialist’s KTM first ever car creation as the Austrian company has entered the sports car market with an innovative no-frills roadster.

Drivers who are looking for a comfy ride might want to look elsewhere as the X-Bow-R is a purebred performance machine, coming without extras such as ABS, electronic driving aids or air conditioning.

Instead, drivers can enjoy 300hp of power coming from a two-liter Audi TFSI engine, powering a chassis that weighs less than 800 kilograms thanks to the extensive use of carbon fibre.

The light and nimble sports car sprints from 0 to 100 in just 3.9 seconds, making the X-Bow-R a very potent weapon even against more powerful sports cars.

Bannochbrae
Over 4.5 miles long, this new road course situated in the highlands of Scotland takes drivers through the village of Bannochbrae and alongside its infamous ‘misty loch’ for a stunningly beautiful driving experience replete with spectacular views and sweeping curves.

https://youtu.be/j-SdXqJuTLY

Renault R.S. 01
A purebred racer down to the core, the R.S. 01 is Renault Sport Technology's newest creation for on-track competition.
Weighing just 1100 kilograms, the R.S. 01 is powered by a 500hp Nissan Nismo V6 3.8 liter twin turbo engine mated to a SADEV seven-speed sequential gearbox.
The R.S.01 is packed to the brim with the latest racing technology as the Dallara-built carbon fiber monocoque chassis is equipped with a double wishbone layout suspension, pushrods and Öhlins dampers as well as six-piston carbon brakes and Bosch Motorsport ABS.
The R.S. 01 exclusively races in the Renault Sport Trophy that is part of the World Series by Renault events, aiming to provide a proving ground for young drivers looking to make it up the sports car racing ladder.

Formula Renault 3.5
The Formula Renault 3.5 Series is a major step on the career ladder of drivers aiming to make it to the highest echelons of open wheel racing.
Using a Dallara-built carbon chassis, the Formula 3.5 Series open wheeler is equipped with all technology aspiring open wheel drivers need to master to make it to the top, including a powerful 530hp Gibson V8 engine, semi-automatic gearbox, carbon brakes and sophisticated data logging to analyze and improve driver performance.
Furthermore, the high-downforce open wheeler is also using a F1-style Drag Reduction System rear wing, allowing spectacular passing moves as drivers can activate higher straight-line speeds to make it past their opponents.

Renault Mégane R.S. 275 Trophy-R
The Mégane R.S. 275 Trophy-R continues Renault’s tradition of class-leading hot hatches, creating a racy track special that proves a lot of racing spirit can hide in hatchback form.
A stripped back, two-seater version of the regular Megane R.S. 275, the Trophy-R clinched the Nürburgring Nordschleife lap record for two wheel-drive production vehicles at launch in 2014, lapping the Green Hell in just 7:54.361.
The impressive on-track performance has been archived by lowering the car's weight by no less than 100 kilos compared to the standard model while raising the power output to 275hp.
Trademark features of the Trophy-R include Recaro Pole Position seats, a limited slip differential, adjustable Ohlins Road and Track dampers, and 19-inch wheels equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubber.

Renault Trophy V6
Built by Renault Sport Technologies, the Megane Trophy V6 was used in Renault’s long-running Eurocup Megane Trophy racing series all across Europe.
Built around a FIA-approved tube frame chassis, the Megane Trophy car is powered by a 3.5 liter V6 24V engine, providing the driver with 360hp to battle it out on track.
Weighing little over 1000 kilograms, the car features advanced racing technologies such as a paddle-shifting system, double wishbone suspension and adjustable dampers.

Renault 442B
The 442B is one of Renault’s most successful race cars ever built, helping the French company to its only overall victory at the legendary 24 Heures du Mans.
Powered by a Renault-Gordini 2-liter V6 turbo engine, the 442B was the most extreme of Renault’s Le Mans competitors, featuring a glass bubble canopy over the cockpit for improved straight-line performance on the track’s legendary Mulsanne straight.
After several unsuccessful tries, the 442B finally helped Renault on the top of the podium at Le Mans in 1978, being driven by Frenchmen Jean-Pierre Jaussaud and Didier Pironi. Their victory came as a result of hard work behind the wheel as Pironi turned out to be too tired to even climb the podium after bringing the prototype to the checkered flag.

Additionally, the Radical RXC Turbo is the seventh free car now available for all to download...

Powered by a Ford Duratec 37 Ti-VCT engine providing 460hp, the RXC Turbo is the newest creation by the prototype specialists at Radical Sports Cars.
The RXC marks the first time Radical has created a coupe-style car, featuring an LMP-inspired body with gullwing doors and GT3-spec rear wing. Weighing just 935 kilograms, the RXC is able to reach a top-end speed of 298 kilometers per hour, sprinting from 0 to 100 kph in just 2.6 seconds.
While the two Radical sports cars already available in Project CARS have been designed for on-track competition, the RXC Turbo is fully road legal, making it a potent weapon against many of the high-performance sports cars in Project CARS’ roster.
Despite being something you can drive on the road, the car is equipped with all the bells and whistles Radical’s vast racing experience offers, including a full roll cage with front and rear crashboxes, an Intrax Racing Suspension inboard pushrod suspension system, and a sophisticated full electronic data logging system.

Classic Lotus Expansion Now Available On Demand!

Project CARS continues its commitment to deliver fresh new content and updates via its ON DEMAND programme today with the release of the Classic Lotus Track Expansion featuring four historic Classic Team Lotus cars and three historic locations to drive them on.

https://youtu.be/JKPPR5SxBqI

1965 Lotus Type 40 Ford
The Lotus 40 marked the last attempt of Team Lotus in sports car racing. An improved version of the Lotus 30, the open-top car was designed primarily with competition in the North American Can-Am series in mind.
Powered by a Ford 351 Ford V8 engine, three Lotus 40 chassis were built, being driven by Lotus drivers Richie Ginther and Jim Clark as well as American racing legend A.J. Foyt.

1963 Lotus Type 25 Climax (F1)
Designed by Colin Chapman for competition in the 1962 Formula One World Championship season, the Lotus 25 was the first ever race car to use a monocoque chassis, setting a standard that is still used in racing to this very day.
Powered by a Coventry Climax engine, the car made its debut at the 1962 Dutch Grand Prix and helped Jim Clark to his first Grand Prix win at Spa later that year. The 25 was raced until 1965, winning 14 races and clinching 17 pole positions along the way.

1966 Lotus Type 38 Ford (Indy)
The Lotus 38 became famous as the first mid-engined car to win the legendary Indianapolis 500. Designed by Colin Chapman and Len Terry, the car was powered by a Ford V8 fuel-injected engine putting out around 500hp.
Jim Clark took the car to Victory Lane at the 1965 Indianapolis 500, proving the superiority of the mid-engine concept and ending the days of front-engined roadsters in Indycar competition. A total of ten Lotus 38 chassis were built and many of its design elements were carried over to the Lotus 49 Formula One car.

1967 Lotus Type 51 (FF)
Based on the Lotus 31 Formula Three car, the Lotus 51 Formula Ford became one of the company’s most successful race cars. The 51 offered Lotus’ engineering and racing experience to young drivers looking to make their way up the open-wheel ranks.
The car became a massive commercial success as a total of 218 chassis were built and gave racers access to a durable and technically-sound race car for a budget price.

Rouen les Essarts
Rouen les Essarts was a legendary motor racing venue near the French city of Rouen that was a fixture on international racing calendars from the 50s to the 70s.
Using public roads, the circuit was considered to be one of Europe’s finest and most spectacular racing venues back in the day, its 6.5 kilometre layout included challenges like a cobblestone hairpin and several blazingly-fast blind corners with little to no run-off areas, punishing driver mistakes instantly.
While racing at Rouen was unfortunately stopped a long time ago in real life, Project CARS lets everyone to test their courage by racing on what is one of the most thrilling venues racing has ever produced.

Hockenheim Classic
While the German Hockenheimring is still a popular venue for touring cars, formula machinery, and more to this very day, the classic Hockenheimring was a vastly different beast to the modern Grand Prix venue.
The track’s classic layout combined a twisty stadium section called the “Motodrom” with long straights cutting through the German forest. The classic Hockenheim track had a reputation for creating some of the most thrilling slipsteam battles ever seen in racing.
The combination of two very different track characteristics asks racers to make a major decision: will you go for maximum top speed or sacrifice some of it for more grip in the twisty bits? The right answer to this question is the key to a successful race at the classic Hockenheim track.

Silverstone Classic
Vastly different to today’s super-modern Grand Prix venue, the classic version of Silverstone takes Project CARS racers back to the days when the British Formula One venue still had much more of its original airfield-track character.
Back in the day, Silverstone was a blazingly-fast high-speed track, challenging racers with a very fast 4.7 kilometre lap with legendary corners such as Becketts, Abbey, Woodcote and Copse – names that have become synonymous with great racing in the UK and beyond.

Your Project CARS career also gets extended with two exciting invitational events – the Lotus Vintage GT Challenge and the Lotus Vintage Formula Challenge.

PROJECT CARS ON DEMAND is our commitment to keeping Project CARS up-to-date with the greatest, freshest, and most critical content whilst also allowing players to pick and choose the cars & tracks they want – without being locked into a pre-paid scheme. With continual Feature Updates addressing items identified by the community and introducing new functionality, exciting Free Cars to drive, beautiful Community-created Liveries, and a variety of themed Car Packs and Track Expansions, Project CARS is built for the future and continues to be a growing and evolving experience throughout 2015 and beyond led by the racing community around the world.

Project CARS becomes an official eSport with ESL

When planning our Driver Network features around Multiplayer, Time Trials, Leaderboards, and Community Events we had a hope that they were going to inspire healthy yet fierce competition amongst our players and a vision that one day this competition may be elevated to the professional scene.

You proved us right by immersing yourself in our regularly-rotating Community Events, by creating your own Online Leagues, and by pro teams participating in the ongoing SMS-R Driver Network Championship season.

Earlier in the year we attended Gamergy in Madrid to test how Project CARS would work as a live eSports event and invited pro players from the scene to give their feedback. This was extremely promising and it helped us plan our second event at Gamesom this year which was a huge success.

We’re very pleased to announce therefore, after the equal success of our PlayStation Plus European Cup tournament , Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe and Slightly Mad Studios have now joined with the Electronics Sports League to bring you legitimate, dedicated professional eSports within Project CARS.

The first step of this will be start this Sunday on September 13th with the first of several ongoing online competitions followed by our third live event at EGX in September where players will be able to participate in multiplayer racing against each other, time trials, and Twitch-streamed finals, as well as experience live music, commentary, giveaways, and a few exclusive sneak peeks at upcoming Project CARS ON DEMAND content.

We’ll have more info on our daily EGX show on our Facebook Events page in the coming weeks as well as the schedule of online tournaments available to play via ESL so stay tuned and we hope to see you both in Birmingham and online!

You can find more information about the ESL Project CARS Kick Off Cup Schedule at our official website
