Project Mercury

Version 1.08 - Death Effect and Anti-Aliasing

This is just a small patch. The death effect has been changed to a black and red pulse. It should be much easier on the eyes!

There is also an alternate build available. This build has anti-aliasing disabled. We wish we could have it set from within the game itself, but this is a limitation that we currently have no control over.

How to get it:

To switch branches in the Steam client, right-click on the game from the library page and select "Properties". Among the available tabs will be the "BETAS" tab. The build should be listed in the dropdown menu under "Select the beta you would like to opt into:"

As soon as you have selected the branch, the Steam client will start downloading the branch, replacing their currently installed branch.

Have fun!

1.06: Death strobe is back, enabled through INI.

Hey everyone,

We're pleased to tell you that the strobing death effect from earlier versions is back.

This effect can be pretty intense for some people. Please understand you're enabling it at your own risk.

To enable it, open up the Strobe.ini file in the Project Mercury file, change strobe=0 to strobe=1, and save the file.

Have fun!

Update 1.05: Strobe effect removed.

Hey there,

The strobe effect that gets set off upon dying has been removed. We certainly enjoyed the over-the-top nature of the strobe effect, but others did not.

Hopefully, this is easier on the eyes and looks pretty neat.

Have fun!

Update 1.04: Jump adjustments and minor fixes!

Hey there!

We're pleased to tell you that we have changed the jumping around. Instead of being forced to the maximum height when you press the jump button, you can release it at any point to drop back down. This should make jumping far more precise.

Also included in this update are a few minor bug fixes.

That's all for now. We hope you continue to enjoy Project Mercury!
