[Update Contents]



■Frontier Mode

  • Added a Faction Power Graph to help understand the progress of Key Missions and the route splits towards the endings.
  • When you clear a Key Mission, the Faction Power Graph will change, and with it, the balance of power between factions. This graph is shared between all players. When Phase progression reaches 100%, a countdown will begin, and when it reaches zero, the balance of power will determine the outcome of the Potentiality. In some cases, the BETA may become stronger, and in others, the Potentiality may come to an immediate end.


  • Changed conditions for Key Missions to appear and removed [Secret] and [Top Secret] Key Missions.
  • Adjusted the BETA invasion level system to incorporate the Faction Power Graph
  • Added Ending Missions
  • Adjusted the flow of game time within Potentialities.
  • Added a setting to determine which Tactical Surface Fighters drop during battle.
  • Added new difficulty above Mission Level 70.
  • Allowed 360 degree cursor freedom when using a gamepad on the map.

  • ・Adjusted the turn-in items and number of items required for TSF research. Later generations will require more and rarer items.
  • ・Adjusted the time limit for increasing max mission level to take into account Hive Recon Mission difficulty.
  • ・Adjusted conditions for changing max mission progression.
  • ・Changed the default TSF for Potentialities from the Gekishin to the Gekishin [UN], and adjusted its weaponry.
  • ・Adjusted the amount of items needed and progression values for Upgrade and Repair missions.
  • ・Changed operation names from “The BETA Landing at Niigata” to “The Defense of Niigata” and “Coup d’etat” to “The 12/5 Incident”.
  • ・Changed “Operation Time Remaining” to “Mission Time Remaining”
  • ・Changed “Operation Progression” to “Mission Progression”
  • ・Reset mission availability in Chronicle to account for the major change in mission structure.
  • ・Added “Mission Progression Pace” display on the Mission Select Screen.
  • This pace will change depending on the total number of players for this Potentiality.
  • This is an estimate of the value, and the higher it is the faster you will increase progression when clearing a mission.

- Added a Battle pass and BP Tasks
A Battle pass allows you to earn rewards for a period of 90 days.
You can go to the Battle pass screen from the main Potentiality screen.
There, you can earn BP (Battle Points) to unlock various rewards.
*BP can be earned by completing BP Tasks or missions.
*A premium pass will also be introduced later that allows for Premium Rewards.



■Other
・Added a link to the official Project MIKHAIL: discord on the main Frontier Mode screen and title screen.


[About Transmogs]
Transmog items allow you to change the appearance of a TSF while keeping its stats.
You can go to the Transmog screen by clicking the eye icon on the Hangar menu.
*Normal items cannot be equipped as Transmogs.
*You need a special Transmog item.


[About the Shop]
After maintenance concludes we will be opening the in-game shop.
You can go to the shop from the Frontier Mode or Chronicle home screen.


There, you can use an in-game currency called V-Cash to purchase emblems, Transmogs, and Weapon Transfer [Save/Deploy] Tickets.
V-Cash can also be purchased in the shop itself.


■Bugfixes


  • Fixed a bug where Operation 21 began on December 24th instead of December 25th.
  • Fixed a bug where you couldn’t move the map if the log was open and you had a gamepad connected.

  • Material/Turn-In Item descriptions will now include a description of where to obtain them.  
  • Mission levels can now also be reduced, as well as increased.
     *Mission level can be reduced to a minimum of level  1.
  • Added a function to deliver items in batches during delivery missions. 

■Bug fixes■




  • Fixed an issue where the vernier gauge would not increase during slow moving while firing in the air, allowing the TSF to remain in the air longer than intended.
  • Fixed an issue that caused 120mm rounds to fire continuously when firing with the main assault gun while moving at low speeds.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause slow moving fire to behave unnaturally when the jumping unit was damaged.

[Frontier Mode] Pause details

Thank you for playing Project MIKHAIL.

Here's an update on the pause of Frontier Mode.
After the end of Potentiality [40658-6], Frontier Mode will be temporarily shut down on Monday, April 4, 24:00 JST for improvements.
Frontier Mode will be resumed...around May or June.

The Story Mode and PvP Mode will continue to be available.

We will inform you of the reopening schedule at a later date.

After the modification, Frontier Mode will have new endings, balance adjustments, and more.
We plan to add and modify features to make the game more enjoyable.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and hope you will look forward to the changes.

[Fixed] [PvP Mode] Game Crash when in battle

The PvP mode fix was completed at 18:20 on Tuesday, March 29 JST.
Thank you for your cooperation, and we hope you’ll continue to support Project MIKHAIL.

As of 14:50 JST on Wednesday, March 23, some game crashing has been reported in the PvP Mode.
We are currently working to correct this issue.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Project MIKHAIL Producer Letter #5

In this fifth Producer Letter, we discuss the future of Frontier Mode, our response to your questions, and updates to the PvP mode.
We also discuss the implementation of the store function and the direction of future updates.

The English version of the Producer Letter is currently being edited.
We will release it as soon as the editing is completed.

[Advance Notice] Pause of the Frontier Mode
After the end of the currently Potentiality [40658-6],
Frontier Mode will be paused until around May or June.
The specific schedule will be announced on the official website, Twitter, and Discord on a later date.

[PvP]



  • AI Players Added
    A “Force Sortie” button will appear on the host’s screen after a period of time on the sortie screen.
    Pressing the Force Sortie button will allow you to start PvP even without 8 players.
  • It will still be 4v4 match, but the empty spots will be filled by AI players.

[Frontier]



  • Changes to balancing in level 40+ missions.
  • Changes to text on weapon transfer screen.
  • The Chronicle home screen now shows a side scroll bar.
  • Game time will stop during maintenance.

[Story]



  • Adjusted combat difficulty in the missions “Practice Exercises” “XM3 Trial” and “Sadogashima Landing”.

[Other Changes]



  • You can now remove control settings on the Battle Control Settings screen.
    Hold ESC or the [View] Button when selecting an input to delete your current input.
    Use this to disable attack on mouse click.
  • Be careful not to delete controls you’ll need in combat!
  • Split the return to default options on the battle Control Settings screen into Keyboard & Mouse and gamepad.
  • Lowered the default targeting sensitivity in settings.
  • Added filters for 120mm cannons and Support Assault Cannons to batch select.
  • Some TSF weapons can now be removed.
  • Head armor, right and left arm armor, leg armor, and jump units cannot be removed. 
  • You cannot sortie without a single weapon.
  • Click and hold on an item’s icon on a turn-in mission to learn more about it.

■Bug Fixes■



  • Fixed a bug where some Frontier Mode missions wouldn’t end even after all enemies were destroyed.
  • Fixed a bug in the Settings > Control Settings menu where the cursor would stop moving.
  • Fixed a bug where you couldn't attack with clicks when your mouse cursor was on the target.
  • Fixed a bug where some action signs (IE for the Destroyer Class) were appearing in places they shouldn’t.
  • Fixed a bug in PvP where skills wouldn’t activate even after the button was let go of.
  • Fixed a bug where when manufacturing transferred equipment, there would be a difference between your manufacturing level and the level of the created part.
  • Fixed a bug where, when changing an added property for the first time, you would no longer be able to change properties specific to that weapon.
  • Fixed a bug where Head Armor Defense Enhancer would show up on left arm and right arm armor.
  • Fixed a bug where some controls weren’t working right in the battle control settings menu.
  • Fixed a bug where certain settings would spill over outside their text areas on the battle control settings screen.
  • Fixed a bug where weapon models would hang in the air when changing weapons or combat styles.
  • Fixed a bug where the mount pylon assault cannon wasn't showing in the right place.
  • Fixed a bug where the sound effect wouldn’t properly play during batch select.
  • Fixed a bug where some players would get a network error upon attempting to connect to Frontier Mode.

About Transfer Tickets [Deploy] At 1:50 PM today we'd said that the Transfer Tickets [Deploy] had been sent out when they actually hadn't. As of 3/13 (7:05 PM) we've distributed them to users. Sorry for giving you bad information, and we'll make sure it doesn't happen again.
