Don't worry we are back in a big way! We have officially launched our first big content update. This will act as patch notes for the new content and we will post one of these every time we drop new content for you guys.
As the title says there are new Power-Ups in the game. There are two new Power-Ups that we have added, one with a completely new game mechanic.
Let's start with the yardstick, the teachers best offensive weapon. In Project Shield you have always been on the defense but it is time to take action! If you can manage to catch a yardstick you can use it to slice and dice incoming pencils for twice as many points. Now that's what I call "going the extra yard".
The holy grail of apples. This is the golden apple, not only have you been lucky enough to find some food in the abandoned classroom but you were luck enough to find a hidden treasure. The golden apple might not look nutritious but on the contrary it will heal you for twice as much as a regular apple.
Lastly we can't forget about the tweaks and bugs that we have squashed.
<*> If you haven't noticed the room is much less red now because how often do you walk into a red room?
<*> There are now EIGHT pencil sharpeners shooting at you instead of four. Although this sounds much harder it requires much less spinning helplessly.
<*> The speed at which the sharpeners shoot has been changed to start off slower but speed up much quicker once you get going. This will benefit the pros and the noobs.
<*> We have added a teleporter in the level select menu to help you reach your destination.
Community Spotlight #1
Hey everyone,
First I would like to start by thanking each and every one of you who has played Project Shield and has provided feedback. We launched our first set of bug fixes last week and are currently in the process of adding some exciting new content to the game!
But this spotlight is supposed to be about you guys. Every once in a while we will post a little something here to show our appreciation to our community. First let the bragging rights commence!

Tweaks and Bug Fixes Alpha 0.1
First off I want to start by thanking everyone who has purchased Project Shield thus far. Or anyone who has shown any interest in our first game.
Today I will be sharing some small changes that we have made to the game since the launch. All of these changes were requested by the community as we hope more and more feedback will continue to come back from you guys.
In the first Tweaks and Bug Fixes there is actually very little bugs there are more tweaks just to make the game a little better for you guys.
Tweaks:
-Changed the GO button: We changed the GO button in the name input screen to change from red to green when a user has at least entered one player to the list. This will allow for less frustration when setting up a group for the first time.
-Standing gameplay: We have now fixed the standing gameplay. All objects should be able to be reached from a standing position in the Vive.
Bug fixes:
-This wasn't really a bug we just had the cup functionality backward. Previously the "Restart" mug would bring you back to the name input and the "Main Menu" mug would bring you to the level select. The two have now been switched to better account for the normal use of those words.

Project Shield has launched!
Hello everyone,
Thanks for showing interest in Project Shield! As of this moment we have officially launched our first game. Project Shield is currently in it's alpha stage. We will continue updating the game as long as there is support from all of you guys.
Right before we went live the service we use for our global scoreboards went down. I hope that this does not sway any of your opinions towards us or the game and will post an announcement as soon as it is back online.
