Update build 5024/5025

Today we have released build 5024. This build fixes a few things including the map vote bug for Kanagawa map.

We have also hopefully fixed the login issue for many users who were unable to connect to the login server.
Please report back if you have had this issue in the past and no longer have it.

HOTFIX build 5025.

After uploading build 5024 we found out that the buttons REGISTER and BUY GP in game were not working. We have fixed these with build 5025.

Build 5022 - New maps and more cars!

This month we release the long awaited map, Kanagawa Mountain.


We have also added 3 new cars to the shop.

  • Necada SS Prime​
  • Panama GT​
  • Savage Z6​

These are high class cars that are great fun.


There are a few planned game updates throughout the month so stay tuned.

Feb 11th Server issues and rollback.

Due to a server issue on the 10th and 11th of Feb, we have had to roll back the database to 6am 10th Feb.

GP bought since then will be credited within the next 24 hours.

Build 5021 - Update to England and menu screen

Build 5021 is here with a few changes.

Menu/Garage Screen



We have pulled the garage screen from Level R build so you are no longer looking at a blank void if you are not in a crew.

England Upgrade


We have ported England from Heat Online build and enabled all the tracks. Total is now 21.

Build 5020 - New hangar, update to Nurgenhoch and oh yea 20 lap races.

Build 5020 is here with quite a few changes.

Hangar upgrade



Hangar has been upgraded to the Heat Online release. This features slightly improved graphics compared to the original as well as many more tracks including those outside of the main hangar building. There are now 9 tracks in Vs and 3 for drift.


Nurgenhoch update



Nurgenhoch has had most of its art assets added (a few missing still). This fixes a few texture issues as well as adds a few more advertising boards into the game.
Most of the ad boards are disabled but hot air balloons, tent stands and small bear can balloons are back.
This also fixes the firetruck position on the track so no more firetruck sticking out of the barrier on the first corner.
You will also notice the overhead distance markers for corners making it easier to known when to brake.

Lap count update



One of the most requested items to fix in the game was lap counts. Originally lap count was based of the level lock of the track. The higher the level of the track, the more laps you could do.
This is obviously not great for lower level players but also a single lap in some maps is not worth doing due to then the downtime between matches.
With update 5020, all players can now start races with up to 20 laps. This is up from the maximum of 7 for higher level maps.
Event lobbies can now host up to 100 laps too so this should make events more interesting.

We are evaluating this change over the next week or so. Seeing how it effects the game. Do note that finish times should be longer to accommodate slower players. So actual downtime between races for some might be on par with 1-2 lap races.

Build 5016 update & community news

Hello gamers!

Build 5016 has just been uploaded to Steam and will be required to update to from today.

Arcade Vs Braking
As many of you have seen and complained about, playing with a keyboard in Arcade Vs results in instant braking.
This has been fixed and you can expect braking in Arcade Vs to be a little more realistic.
This means you wont be able to go so fast into a tight bend anymore or brake very fast to prevent crashing into a wall.
So keep this in mind when racing from now on.

We will be also releasing build 5017 early next week which applies the same fix (and a few other adjustments) to CTF and maybe slight adjustments to other game modes.

Thunder Alley player count.
We have for a long time believed that Thunder Alley "could" support more than 20 players.
The other day we found out how to increase the player count in all game modes (the code is hard to work with), have have successfully tested a few of the maps with increased player count in Thunder Alley.
Starting positions are still bugged. This use to be okay back in the day, we are unsure what changed as we don't have access to archives of builds from the early days.
But we hope to fix this at a later date.
Expect a lot of crashing in the first lap of 32 player TA...


We are still working on Steam Auth and hope to have a working developer build soon. This will drastically improve the experience for new users, many of which have had issue signing up over the past few weeks due to the forum bugging out.

We are also still looking into the startup issue and connection issue. We have not been able to replicate these issues our end yet so it is quite hard to get detailed analysis of the issue.
Using a VPN does help with the connection issues to Login Server and Game Servers though.


Community update
This week we created a Community Manager role which will take over all community management from GM-Jack so he (me) can focus on game management, development and support.
RacerXNFS has been playing PT for many years, is very experienced in racing games (it is all he plays) and has experience with community management. Over the next few weeks he will be fully taking over community management and bringing on board more GameSages to help moderate the game and Discord.

We are not looking for applications to become a GS (or a GM). Do not send them, we ignore all requests.
