New low-level network transportation layer (should give smoother movement and enable more concurrent users)
Fixed a bug where the player would be placed far away from the ship they exited.

Dev Blog #7 - The alpha is dead - long live the beta
Happy Friday! Other than the fact we have a shiny new logo and capsule image, a new full iteration has begun on what we call the "pre-early-access beta.". During the alpha phase, we validated gameplay mechanics and concepts and threw together a magnificent stew that showed us that the vision of Project Voidcraft is attainable. The beta will have fewer graphical assets added until later in the cycle and focus on making sure that everything is implemented in a sane and enjoyable way!
Major Features:
Re-Written Player Character Controller , for better FPS interaction.

Dev Blog #5 - Your Own Slice of Space!
Hi everyone, it's been a bit hectic getting the March release ready but things are progressing nicely! :)
Major Features:
Your Own Slice Of Space - Players now start in their own hangar!
Inventory items are droppable in the world.
Code restructuring & polishing.
Re-worked how ships spawn/exist in the world.
Minor Features:
Small quality of life improvements in how the UI works (inventory and ship interact) , they now lock the camera and enable the mouse

Dev Blog #5 - Big New Feature!
Hi everyone! :) This week we've had our hands busy with working on something big and exciting. Read all about it down below.
Major Features:
Oxygen Management - Craft oxygen using the Oxygen Electrolysis Module outside the home station. Hydrogen + Fuel Cell = Oxygen.
New Resource Gathering system - Approach an asteroid and press F to mine.
First Person Mode - You can now move around the station / (soon in space) in FPS mode.
Minor Features:
Asteroid information item now reveals the nearest asteroid field, not just any.
Running out of oxygen == Death
Going into this update there will be a "feature freeze" until March 4th. The time until then will be spent polishing and iterating, especially on the UI and the overall user experience.

Dev Log #4 - Questin'
Hello everyone!
Another Friday another update!
What's new?
Quest System is integrated - The backbone of how quests will work on the engine level, it supports hand-written and dynamically generated quests.
Radial Ship Module UI - Right Click to open the ship module interaction system.
Sensor Module - Equip your ship with a sensor module in order to receive information when they enter your scanner range.
That means that the core game systems are now present and fingers-crossed the next two updates will focus on adding polish for the next stage of the beta in March.

Other than that, we had quite a busy week working on new features and bringing this beautiful project that much closer to life.
Major Features:
Sector system - A sector system has been implemented allowing for travel to different parts of the solar system. This will continue to evolve into a full map view of all sectors.
Three sectors to explore - Mercury, Earth and Mars.
3D Skyboxes - We re-designed how the sky is drawn and created a new set-up for skyboxes to create scale and detail at huge distances.
Crafting System Integrated.
Fuel Distillery Structure which takes the material hydrogen and refines it into a hydrogen fuel-cell which can power voidcraft.
Minor Features:
Improved docking at station.
Wondering what's next? Next up we'll be working on integrating the quest system which will allow for static and dynamic quest generation. Procedural quests will be generated based on player actions and standing with factions. We're giving the UI some love and working on the over all UX, replacing our prototype "functional" UI with something more enjoyable and usable.
Along with this, they may also be a new, shiny logo coming soon... But more about that next time. ;)
Dev Blog #2 - All About the Core Systems!
Hi everyone! This week we've been working hard on some core systems. We got the basics of a survey & mining system, but that's just the surface of what's now possible with the new Ship implementation which allows for a multitude of skills, equipment, and storage!
Major Features:
Buy/Sell Resource Information - The location and composition of asteroids that are of potentially high value are not given away for cheap. Locations of potential high-value mining targets can be bought at UNN Station Midway.
Resource Probing - You don't have to mine to turn a profit. Seek out unexplored but known asteroid patches, study their composition and sell the information to miners.
Multiplayer Server
Minor Features:
UI Facelift - The UI has been iterated on, making it easier on the eyes.
First iteration on player interaction feedback, including speech.
Alpha UI for switching ship system between Mining and Survey
Holding the right mouse button now enables mouseLook camera when in cockpit
Bug fixes:
Fixed issue with Player Inventory being disabled after selecting a docked ship.

Dev Blog #1 - Check out new gameplay elements!
Hi everyone! Welcome to our first update for Project Voidcraft. Special thanks to everyone who participated in our very first Alpha test. In the spirit of listening to and acting on feedback, we've already made some changes based on it. Many of you complimented our music selection on the radio and wanted to know the name of the songs, which is why we have now added the station name and song name to the radio - so you won't miss out on any good songs you encounter on your space journey. Along with this, we have added a new cockpit and fixed the issue with the re-spawning ship and character! Please check out the whole list of features below.
Major Features: Gameplay
Docking is now possible at the UNN Midway Station. Approach the dock and press "z" to initate.
Asteroid mining is now possible, find several already plotted with a purple marker in the navigation hud. Default mining laser requires 100 meters operational distance. Simply approach the asteroid, click it and when the mining operation is done, you are able to loot its ore.
Re-Fueling ship is now possible. Open inventory by pressing "I" and clicking a fuel icon to re-fuel ship

Added station name and song name to radio
Small quality of life fixes to radio interface
UI
Escape now closes main menu if it was open.
New Gameplay Elements:
Mining asteroid (Remember to arm the weapons platform by selecting the mining laser icon in the skillbar)

Re-fueling ship (Open inventory by pressing "I", and clicking the lightning bolt to re-fuel
