Project Xandata

Season 0 Hotfix v0.8.13.34a

Excited for a Meta Shake Up? So are we! We’ve been monitoring intently how everyone put their own spin into Xandata, and well, change was bound to happen. We know which classes and weapons seemed to be unstoppable in the right hands and which ones needed a little love. These changes are just teasers to an even bigger patch coming soon. So be on your toes, Xandats!

And as a last side note: Have fun with your new toys ;)

Overview

What we’ve done:

  • Buffed all Marksman Classes

    • Faster Cooldowns
    • Better Movement
    • QoL improvements
  • Ice Agent Nerfs (Here comes the reckoning)
  • Improved cooldowns for Juggernaut Classes
  • Rebalanced accuracy and recoil values for Amorsolo Pistol, Splinter Burst Rifle, and Ironbark DMR
  • DPS changes to Askal SMG, Splinter Burst Rifle, and Amorsolo Pistol
  • Big changes to Birang Buster

Class Balancing

Neutral Marksman

Despite being the poster child, Marksmen have seen little success in the proving grounds. We’re improving their cooldowns to ensure that they’re “Always ready and never outgunned.”

Utility - Disengage

  • Cooldown reduced from 25 to 15
  • Damage increased from 55 body, 100 crit to 75 body, 115 crit

Power - Explosive Grenade

  • Decrease cooldown from 50 to 40 secs

Wind Marksman

Movement - Galura Stance

For someone embodying the power of wind, using the Hover passive tends to leave you an easy target. Now you can fly like an eagle and strike like a proper bird-of-prey. Let’s face it, no one ever looks up… until they get shot.

  • Hover Max Speed improved from 500 to 750
  • Hover acceleration improved by 100%

Utility - Hurricane Step

  • Decrease cooldown from 25 to 15 secs

Ultimate - Storm Chaser

The old Storm Chaser used to feel like a janky vacuum cleaner. Now you can strike terror and show them who’s the storm that is approaching.

  • Damage increased from 200 every 0.25 secs to 150 every 0.15 secs
  • Cooldown decreased from 240 to 225

Lightning Marksman

The Lightning Marksman’s strengths weren’t very apparent, and we’ve improved them to push it to a cut above the rest. You’ll now have access to your movement passive more often, and your magic hands now ensure you’re at the ready faster than the rest. Who said Lightning can’t strike the same place twice?

Movement - Storm Run

  • Cooldown improved from 3.0 to 1.5 seconds
  • Duration decreased from 3.0 to 2.5 seconds

Passive - Lightning Reflexes

  • Reload speed boost increased from 20% to 35%
  • Swap speed boost increased from 20% to 50%
  • ADS speed boost increased from 20% to 40%

Utility - Flash Dive

  • Cooldown reduced from 20 to 15

Power - Electrostatic Bomb

  • Explosion effect now better displays its explosion radius

Ice Agent

Let’s be real here, the Ice Agent’s kit was more than a “little” overloaded. Extremely high mobility packed with skills that can kill in one hit? Yeah, chill out, hot shot.

Power - Frost Shuriken

Yeah you’ve got one too much one-hit-kill potential for too little effort.

  • Initial damage decreased from 300 to 200
  • Shard damage decreased from 75 to 50

Ultimate - Suimuran Edge

The sound of the Suimuran Edge activation strikes fear into the hearts of the enemy team. For such a fearsome skill, it was in play way too often. This time, you’ll have to work harder for it. (Spoilers: A rework coming out next patch makes it more engaging and skillful to use)

  • Cooldown increased from 240 to 270

Neutral Juggernaut

We’ve found that Juggernaut players often took all Fire or all Water skills, and found the Neutral line lacking. We’ve tweaked some Neutral Skills so you can use them more often, and actually give you an option when playing the powerhouse class.

Power - Cluster Bombs

  • Cooldown reduced from 60 to 45

Ultimate - Missile Storm

  • Cooldown reduced from 270 to 255

Fire Juggernaut

Ultimate - Fist of Bathala

  • Decrease cooldown from 270 to 255 secs

Water Juggernaut

Water Juggernauts, while being strong, felt very clunky to use due to their high cooldowns. We’ve re-tuned some of that power down to allow you to have them up and available more often. Now, you’ll still be a tanky turtle, but you’ll be a turtle in water instead.

Special Melee - Leviathan Barrier

  • Cooldown reduced from 60 to 45
  • Damage reduced from 250 to 200

Utility - Defender Mine

The Water Juggernaut’s original identity was a tanky behemoth that protected themselves and their allies. You’ll now have the Defender Mine’s power at your side more often, so you and your allies can relish in its protective waters before a fight, or while holding down a point.

  • Cooldown reduced from 60 to 25
  • Damage reduced from 400 to 200

Power - Water Trident

  • Cooldown reduced from 60 to 40 secs

Weapon Balancing

SMG - Askal

Time to stop shooting blanks. Let’s pump those numbers up.

Base

  • Increase damage from 38 to 40

    • Crit damage stays the same at 50
  • Hipfire accuracy increased from 25 to 26
  • ADS accuracy increased from 27 to 29

Pistol - Amorsolo

Amorsolo had too much Amor and could Solo entire teams. See what we did there?

Base

  • Remove perfect pattern accuracy for the second bullet
  • Decrease ADS Accuracy from 35 to 32
  • Decrease Damage
    • Base damage from 120 to 115
    • Crit damage decreased from 210 to 196

Burst Rifle - Splinter

Something that shoots in short bursts should be easier to control. Now you get to focus on fighting your enemy instead of a weird recoil pattern.

Base

  • Changed pattern for easier recoil control
  • Rate of Fire slowed from 0.4 to 0.425
  • Recoil reset after every burst changed to be more consistent and controllable

Perks

  • On A Roll: Decreased damage bonus from 15% to 10%
  • Hollow Point Explosives: Remove base bonus flinch

DMR - Ironbark

The Ironbark was all bark and no iron. Even the easiest shots tended to miss, despite being a Designated Marksman Rifle.

Base

  • ADS accuracy increased on longer ranges from 24 to 36
    • Long range = 50m

Perks

  • Trueshot: Adjusted total accuracy on longer ranges to 42
  • Zen Contemplator: Adjusted total accuracy on longer ranges to 48
  • Bolt Capacitor: Activates faster from 0.7 to 0.5 secs

Buster - Birang

The Birang was good, but it can be better! The Lemon shots are juicier and the Ultimate Perks in Column 3 will help serve up some ownage lemonade onto your enemies.

Base

  • Damage increased from 80 to 100

Perks

  • Surprise Combo: Charge bonus increased from 0.17 per stack to 0.2 per stack
  • Master Buster
    • Reload bonus increased from 0.3 to 0.5
    • Duration increased from 5 to 15 secs

  • Rebuster
    • Damage decreased from 400 to 360
    • Splash Radius increased
    • Damage falloff improved

Others

And a little sprinkling of general improvements

  • [Lore] Fixed Text Formatting issues for some Lore Entries
  • [Store] Updated some Store Entries that were using the wrong art
  • [Armors] Implemented a special reward for the Novice Armor sets for all classes

Known Issues

  • [Lore] Some newer Lore entries still have formatting issues

Season 0 - Hotfix v0.8.13.24a

Hey there, Xandats! We’re currently working our way to our first Major Patch Update, but we’ve got another round of hotfixes coming your way first! We fixed an issue with some of the Prestige Weekly Challenges either being too hard, or not outright tracking your progress, so it should help you with your Prestige Pass progress. Also, we’ve made a change with the footstep audio that should help you be more aware of any lurking enemies.

Fixes

  • [Store] Enabled Tooltip on Store Items
  • [Store] Implemented the "Right Click to Inspect" function for all items listed in the store
  • [Rewards] Fixed the "Invalid Items" on some of the later Lore Levels for some armors

    • Unintended Sneak Peek - Removed some of the Lore Level rewards that weren’t supposed to have been there in the first place
  • [Challenges] Fixed Challenge description texts with multiple numbers that have their number values swapped around.

    • Already Challenging Enough - Challenge descriptions now accurately display the intended objective
  • [Challenges] "Silang Works Contract" Prestige challenge now properly tracks kills using the Askal SMG, Splinter Burst Rifle, Debt Unpaid Assault Rifle, Guillotine Shotgun, and Haribon Missile Launcher

    • Contract Killer - Challenge can now be completed by using the above-mentioned weapons.
  • [Challenges] "Post Mortem Contract" Prestige Challenge now properly tracks kills made with the Amorsolo Pistol, Ironbark DMR, Birang Buster, or Favorhouse Sniper Rifle

    • Contract Killer 2 - Challenge can now be completed by using the above-mentioned weapons.
  • [Lore] Fixed some lore text not displaying correctly
  • [Audio] Adjusted enemy footsteps volume to be louder

    • Sneaky Lurkers - Enemy Footstep sounds increased and allied footstep sounds lowered to help increase awareness of enemy presence

Disclaimer

  • [Lore] Some Lore Text for specific weapons and armors still have text issues
  • [Store] Some items will display an incomplete “Acquired From” text in their tooltips

Season 0 Hotfix v0.8.13.18a

Another round of hotfixes coming your way!

Fixes

  • [Prestige Pass] Kalabasteel Red Amorsolo is now properly rewarded after unlocking it.
  • [Store] Item texts have been fixed.
  • [Store] Armor set thumbnails have been fixed.
  • [Store] Previewing animations for the first time is now set at the proper distance. It was too close for comfort.
  • [Store] Previewing color schemes now correctly applies the color onto your Xandat.
  • [Store] Wild Gunman Intro now properly shows Hard Light Pistols.
  • [Store] Hydrophis Armor set no longer gives a duplicate of the same helmet. Who needs two helmets?
  • [Store] Warp Blade Kick’s Kunai no longer disappears randomly.
  • [Items] Lore has been included for all weapons. The archives have been… completed. :<
  • [Items] Equipped items now properly gain XP for their progression tracks (juicy lore included).

Season 0 Hotfix v0.8.13.14b

To pair with our hot tips is a hotfix. This is just a small patch to correct some items in the game.

Fixes

  • [Appearance] Visual armor fixes applied to First Wave Juggernaut and Banakon
  • [Appearance] Fixed animation hiccup for Salute intro. Your Xandat no longer has the hiccups.
  • [Prestige Pass] Previews and thumbnails were updated to show the correct reward.
  • [Store] Previews and thumbnails were updated to show the correct item.
  • [Custom Game] The custom game card will now be grayed out as it is not yet open for the public. Interested tournament organizers may still approach the dev team through pxd-mktng@secret6.com.
  • [Weapons] Fixed ADS for Thaltan Descent Red Splinter Skin. You are no longer able to no-scope.
  • [Challenges] Fixed Prestige Challenges not progressing properly.
  • [Overcharge] Fixed battery issues when two players simultaneously pick up the battery. Sharing is caring but this is ridiculous.
  • [Voice Chat] Fixed a bug where you can still talk to teammates outside a match that just finished. That’s too friendly.

Balancing

These were supposed to be added together with the Season 0 launch, and not a reaction to the current meta. Don’t worry, though! We’re currently monitoring the gameplay and do agree with some of y’all. Rest assured, a bigger balance patch will be rolled out down the road. So, enjoy for now ;)

Sniper - Favorhouse

Base
Putting a little more Favor in the Favorhouse

  • Damage increased from 300 to 325

Perks
But wait, there’s more!

  • Power Rounds: Damage bonus decreased from 50 to 45
  • Stop Shot: Damage bonus increased from 150 to 175

Disclaimer

  • [Prestige Pass] Some Weekly Prestige Challenges are not progressing properly.
  • We’ll be fixing/replacing some of these challenges so that they progress in the next hotfix. Don’t worry as previous Weeks will remain open, and you’ll be able to claim their XP Rewards once you complete them.
  • Affected Challenges:

    • Post Mortem Contract
    • Silang Armory Contract
    • Crowd Pleaser

Mark your calendars and tune in on launch day! LET’S FREAKING GO!

Sumimasorry!

Hey Xandats,

We’re thankful for all the excitement and support you’ve shown for Project Xandata to launch this January, so it pains us to inform you that we’re forced to delay the Early Access launch date to March 22, 2022.

After the Open Beta debugging, we discovered that the optimization issues that caused FPS drops were bigger than expected and need more work. Spectator mode and other quality of life features need additional work as well. These features need more time so that we can deliver an experience befitting modern FPS titles.

The team is also facing challenges with the recent surge of the COVID-19 Omicron variant. We’re a small team, and having our members sidelined has impacted our progress. This ultimately led us to our decision of moving the launch date. Regardless, we’re making sure everyone is safe and doing our best to deliver an enjoyable experience.

We were just as excited as all of you to see Project Xandata launch this January and deeply apologize for the delay. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding.

So Xandats, until launch day comes, your orders are to stay safe, stay healthy, and be ready to get sweaty.

PXD Team
