The theatre tech update is now available in multiplayer. The new scene is quite a bit more GPU intensive than the previous one, so please report any performance issues. This update should also fix connectivity issues that prevented some users from joining a multiplayer game.

Theatre Tech Update
Hello Puppeteers!
We are happy to bring the first major update to PuppetsVR! In this update, you will find a brand new theatre scene (only in singleplayer for now), which includes a shiny lighting console! The lighting console will let you program lighting cues before your show and play through each cue with the press of a single button! There is only a few supported commands for now, but we plan to expand on this functionnality as well as enable it for multiplayer. You can play around with it for now!
Example commands :
"Record Cue 1" records cue number 1
"Record Cue 2 Time 3" records cue number 2 with fade in/out time of 3
"Record Cue 3 Time 2/5" records cue number 3 with fade in time of 2 and fade out time of 5
"Cue 1" sets cue number 1 as active cue
"1+2+3 at Full" sets projectors 1, 2 and 3 intensity at full
"1 Thru 6 at 35" sets projectors 1 through 6 intensity at 35%
"Delete Cue 2" deletes cue number 2
Here is the changelog :
Much, much bigger theatre along with new art assets.
Better lighting.
Lighting console added. Control each light individually and program cues!
Fixed issues with teleporting.
A bunch of smaller fixes.

New customization items!
Hello,
This small patch brings a few new items for Mike :
-2 moustaches
-2 new sets of teeth (with braces, vampire teeth)
There's also small changes that were made to the singleplayer scene to prepare for upcoming features.
Enjoy!
What's next?
Dear puppeteers,
You may have noticed the lack of updates in the past month. We've been slowed down but are picking back the pace. We just wanted to let you know what we'll be working on as a top priority in the coming weeks.
A lot of first time users are looking for ways to record their performance. It is something we have wanted to do but weren't sure if we had the resources to do so. Since it's the most requested feature, we decided we'd give it a go. We're going to bring performance recording in singleplayer.
We are unsure how much time it'll be before we can deploy the feature, but we will try to do it as fast as possible.
In the meantime, we've added a christmas hat for Mike for all your christmas related puppet shows!
Cheers,
-The PuppetsVR team
Patch 1
Hello puppeteers!
Chances are you've ran into issues if you've played PuppetsVR in the last few days. We've pushed a patched to fix the most glaring issues and hopefully the experience should be a bit smoother. Here is the changelog :
[FIXED] Voice chat not working
[FIXED] Weird hit detection on color selectors
[ADDED] Camera screen behind the booth to watch your performance
Please report any other issues you may run into. We'll be working on tutorials for new players to help you figure out the controls as well as advanced controls for more experienced puppeteers!
Early Access!
Hi everyone,
Today, we are incredibly happy to release a very, very early access build of PuppetsVR to the public. Please note that you shouldn't purchase this app in its current state unless you want to actively support its development.
Current state
There should be many bugs you can find and many temporary assets in the game right now. If you find them, make sure to list them in the steam community forums so that we can address them. We are open to suggestions and ideas to help focus our efforts towards things that matter.
Our mission
We are art students and PuppetsVR has been used in art shows and public demonstrations. We want to build a platform for vr enthusiasts and puppeteers to create shows together and to allow artists from around the world to connect in a virtual environment. We have also found families to be an appropriate audience.
Release plans
We plan to release the game once we create more art assets to customize your puppets and stage with as well as solidified the game logic to provide you with more creation and sharing tools. We hope this can be done in under a year. The current price is the final price, you may get more for your money if you purchase later in development. This is our first released project and we are passionnate about growing our presence in the VR community as well as the art world, since we believe that VR and performance arts are a perfect match.
