Update 0.3.2

Added rank to player statistics.

Added a team selection to the statistics page. You can view by all teams or a specific team.

Minimum required RBs has been raised to 3 and LBs to 5.

Lowered technique gain for players. Currently, players improve at too quickly. This will probably be lowered more while I look for the right balance.

Update 0.3.1

Each team stat in the game preview will now be highlighted for the higher ranked team.

Fixed GMs and Coaches not aging.

Fixed a rare case where AI teams wouldn't sign new coaches in the offseason.

Using the escape key to go back now works for player, gm, and coach cards.

Cleaned up more background code.

Update 0.3.0

In this update I did a ton of cleaning up with background code (will hopefully reduce crashes and increase performance) and balanced simulating games. I did a ton of tweaking and changes to how games are simulated and I think the results are near perfect. There are two remaining parts of simulating games I need to rework and that is quarterback scrambling and field goals.

Some of the bigger notes:

High technique QBs are slightly more likely to throw interceptions.
Slightly raised bad QB completion %.
Lowered completion % against the blitz.

Slightly lowered snaps to #1 back and slightly raised snaps to #2 back.
Reduced big runs after broken tackle by 20%.
Made speed attribute more valuable when determining if theres a big run after broken tackle.
Brought good and bad running backs closer to average when calculating short yardage gains.

Less short passes will go to #1 receiver and more deep passes will go to #1 receiver. This will lead to an overall decrease in receptions to #1 receivers but will lead to a higher yards average.
Less broken tackles by receivers will turn into touchdowns.

Made defensive ends slightly worse for pass rush, made defensive tackles slightly better for pass rush. This will help sacks distribute more evenly.
Made speed slightly less important for pass rush and upped technique.
Less tackles on running plays will go to linebackers

Technique is now more important to punting.
Punts now have a small chance for an abnormal long. This is to simulate when a kick returner decides not to catch it and it bounces and rolls.
Lowered punt return yards.

Lowered kickoff return yards.

The next few updates will mainly pertain to balancing the franchise side of the game and background optimizations. There are also some quality of life improvements I plan on including.

Update 0.2.9b

Sorry for the slow down in updates everyone. I have been doing a lot of background work to restructure some parts of the game to improve performance and enable some functionality that I want to add before full release. Sadly, its a slow and bugfilled process, but I can do it in chunks and get back to doing content.

Fixed bug when viewing the offseason free agency menu. The side menu which shows current players on the roster was showing tight ends while viewing wide receivers and vice versa.

Fixed issue with scoring when the clock is at 0:00 at the end of a half.

Update 0.2.9

Added Coach and GM cards. This can be viewed by clicking on a coach or gm inside the front office tab of the roster management or in the off-season. Note: This works with new franchise save files.

Fixed a bug that caused trades not to work after the first season.

Fixed draft picks being misaligned in the year recap menu.

Fixed bug that caused team stats to add previous years when being viewed.

I believe I fixed a bug involving rookies generated in future seasons not getting awards.

Update 0.2.8

Team stats can now be viewed via the stats board. They can be sorted by clicking on the category name.

The player's team is highlighted green on the stats board, league shedule, and league standings to make identifying your team easier.

Fixed extra point attempts from not recording.

Update 0.2.7

Added game previews. These are viewed by viewing a game's box score before it has been played (clicking on it in a schedule). There are two sections, a game preview and team comparison. The game preview holds a betting line, compared team stats, and compared individual stats. The team comparison is a work in progress, but it currently shows a colored comparison like what you see in the depth chart overview. You can switch the side the home/away team is on in the drop down box.

Fixed team schedules from not showing.

Update 0.2.6

Added league and team all-time statistical leaders to the archive menu. More stats will be added as time goes on.

Added a FPS cap in the options menu.

Players on your team will be tinted green when viewing league statistics to make them easier to identify.

Team names are no longer abbreviated when being selected for a new franchise.

Update 0.2.5

The previous update for menu resolution scaling broke the off-season tasks menu a little bit. I have fixed the back buttons and arrows going off-screen along with buttons being unclickable.

Fixed issue with coaches, GMs, and players going into the off-season when using a custom roster that is based off of editing the default roster.

Fixed draft picks not showing in year recap.

I had plans to release the final menu within the archive tab with this patch, but I decided to delay it. I'm redesigning the menu to hold more information that I believe everyone would request anyways.

Update 0.2.4

Fixed an issue with the back button going off-screen on the audible menu.

Expanded some background statistics to record additional playoff information.

Fixed played games adding playoff statistics to regular season.

Fixed issue when editing custom rosters if multiple of them had the same name.

Added the archive tab under the roster management. This has three sections: yearly recaps, team achievements, and team statistical records. Each menu should help provide valuable information and if anything is missing let me know. However, the statistical records menu will be blank until tomorrow's update.

Moving forward I will add a full menu to compare team statistics, expand upon adding a menu to view player statistics of only specific teams, and add some additional information to the trade menu. After that, I will be doing a large balancing update for the franchise side of the game. This will mainly cover simulating games, AI draft logic, and AI free agency logic.
