Hi ! Small update :) While working on the new maps, rules and general appearance of the game, i took some time to model new parts for the crawlers.
Also i have been busy trying to redo car physics, so that the difference between diff lock on/off would be more pronounced. These changes are required so i can make fully functional gearbox in the future. I hope to finish it together with new map.
As for the upcoming maps and different types of challenges. New map is going great, had a bit of headache trying to optimize the new graphics. Cant tell right now when it will be released, but hopefully soon :)
Another thing that i want to make is to organize parts in some categories, and add values for them so that it will have more impact on how the car drives or how much damage it can take. Right now only springs and shocks impact car physics.

UPDATE / DEVBLOG - TIRE PHYSICS & THE FUTURE
Hi ! I hope you are all doing great ! Please keep in mind that this update is also Devblog, so not all off the stuff that I will show here is gonna make it to the game right now.
TIRE PHYSICS
So while working on other stuff in game it came to me that the tire physics are not that all great, it lacked that bounciness and deflation of the real tires (as many pointed out). Also the looks needed some work as it was not up to scale of the truck. So after many tweaks and tests, please enjoy the completely reworked tire model ! Hope you like it !
MINOR CHANGES
Tires now also bends sideways
Vehicle physics more stable
Pickup truck now has higher suspension
Both vehicles received bigger tires
Minor color adjustment
THE FUTURE
Besides making all the recent changes in the game, I am working on new map, much bigger than previous ones in the game. The reason for bigger maps is to make a mixed game mode where player while free roaming would be able to participate in different challenges across the map. That is of course all work in progress, and can change in the future. So i will keep you guys posted on the progress. Probably it will be in the format of the test map, just like with the test vehicle not so long ago.
Also this new environment will feature deformable mud, and interactive foliage !

WHEEL SUPPORT and more - UPDATE !
Hi, I hope you are all doing wonderful ! Time has come to add proper wheel support and first person view to the game ! Also with this update i took some time to add few minor things. Let's see what's new !
WHEEL SUPPORT
So for now, i tested Pure Rock Crawling with :
Logitech G920
Thrustmaster T150
In Options menu you will find that you can change which Axis is the Throttle and which is the Brake, that's because it seems to be the opposite way in these two wheels.
I'll make a post in the forums, so if anybody already owns the game and is willing to test it with the wheel can post his setup.
IMPROVED LIGHTING
There are a few changes in the lightning. Metallic areas of the materials are now rendered properly and underside of the cars is not so dark anymore.
NEW RIMS
Two new rims are now available in the garage ! Taking advantage of the reworked lighting they look sharp and shiny !
PHYSICS CHANGE
Now the physics calculations are not FPS dependent. This will unify experience for all players and improve vehicle physics stability.
NEW CAMERAS
You can now choose between 3 cameras:
Free Camera
First Person
Third Person following camera
Just hit "C" on keyboard, or Left on D-Pad
MINOR CHANGES
Resolution upscale option
Shocks disappearing sometimes in the game - fixed
Suspension tuning toned down
Wheel offset improved

MORE CONTENT
Next in a row, thanks for the patience while i am making new models for the customization, there is a lot to do :) So do not worry, there will be more than 2 rims to choose from :P
NEXT UPDATE
Upcoming update will feature some changes in camera system, current free camera mode will remain preety much as it is, but there will be 2 new modes, auto follow 3rd person camera and a long awaited 1st person view.
WHEEL SUPPORT
I am working hard to give this game proper wheel support, but still need to investigate few possibilities.
PHYSICS
There will be few changes in the physics of the car, hopefully it will stop the cars from shaking in the menu in certain situations.

CUSTOMIZATION UPDATE - FINALLY !!!

I hope you are all doing wonderful ! This update took me some time to make, but i am certain it was well worth waiting ! Behold customization, new physics, improved graphics, new UI and more !
CUSTOMIZATION
Finally customization !!! I hope it will make you at least as happy as i am :) Most of the suspension elements can be swapped out. For now there isn't much to choose from, but adding new stuff in future updates will be a pleasure ! Due to changes to cars, buggy type car will be unavailable for now. Also you can now change the color of your truck !
SUSPENSION TUNING
Have fun with completely customizable suspension. You can now change height, stiffness of the suspension and wheel offset as well.
IMPROVED PHYSICS
Again, thanks to all off you who shared their thoughts about the car physics on the community hub. Vehicle physics model is reworked completely (partly because of customization) and for now it proves to be more reliable and better to drive. Along with the suspension stuff, car collisions are now more “slippery” so that it does not hung up on rocks so often.
IMPROVED GRAPHICS
Kind of bonus in this update. Few things were changed like DOF and AA method. Game now looks sharper and more clear.
NEW UI
Customization update required me to rework whole UI. Its more modern and elegant. But most importantly it is convenient system that can hold up future updates.
FPS CAP
In options menu you can now change FPS CAP or remove it completely.

I hope you are all doing great ! The next update that I'm planning to release will be pretty big one. So i thought i will give you a heads up :) Let's see whats coming !
NEW UI
New features such as long awaited garage and suspension tuning require space. That's why the whole UI had to be reworked providing much more cleaner look and better navigation. All of those changes were made to give the player a better experience and build much more confident system that will handle the future changes and updates. (provided screens are work in progress)
SUSPENSION TUNING
One of the top requested features was the ability to customize suspension parameters. Now there will be a possibility to change ride height, wheel offset and spring stiffness. It will allow you to fully enjoy your Rock Crawler.
CUSTOMIZATION
Garage will be introduced to the game, with options to change wheels, springs, shocks, axles and addons.
Along with the ability to change mechanical parts on the car, you will be able to change its color !
IMPROVED PHYSICS
Thanks to the community there will be more changes to the physics model of the cars. Improved physics along with suspension tuning makes a ton of fun to play with !
This are not all the things, there are more minor improvements but that's all to be revealed in the upcoming update !
UPDATE ! - 22.06.2018 - New suspension test !
Hi ! Behold the total suspension overhaul ! As many suggested, car customization would be great, but what customization would it be without the attention to detail. In order to make it all work, look and feel good, suspension models has to be reworked, and that is my focus for now.
For now, the test truck has been updated with:
Detailed suspension model, which feature better spring animation, shocks that look like shocks, rotating CV joints, steering linkage that actually move and some nuts & bolts
Tires has now modeled thread instead of just a texture
Ability to lock the diff lock ON/OFF is finally here, thanks to all who tested the previous version of test truck
Added camera zoom, very basic for now
Tires has now more grip (keep in mind in the future tires will be changeable element)
New rims, they are now separate element to allow customization in the future
Ghost chassis so you can look at suspension
An engine with a spinning fan ! :)

UPDATE ! - 17.05.2018
Hi ! This update mostly focuses on new car physics that i am testing. So, please enjoy the test vehicle which can be found unlocked at the end of the vehicle selection menu. The main reason for this is to add locked diffs to the cars as well as improve overall behavior, so for now in the test car, diffs are locked permanently. Please, report any bugs or suggestions in the topic about this test car :)
Overall changes:
Added test car with new physics
Removed numbers on gates
New HUD compass
Added Land Meter
Reworked cone placing metod (should take care of weird standing cones )
Test car changes:
Vehicle parts masses are now correct
Suspension is more or less tuned to behave realistic
Centre of mass is much higher
Diffs are locked
Vehicle has more power
Tire spin now possible (tire upgrades in the future will make sense now)

Hi, first of all, BIG THANKS for the support you guys showed in the last couple of days ! I am happy that you are enjoying the game so far :) Last days i was working to bring most urgent hot-fixes:
Score UI change - more readable with grey background
Volume control added in option menu
Added camera invert option checkbox in option menu
Gates at level 4 stage 3 should be fine now
Game launching in VR should be ok now
Improved throttle response in trucks
In the next update i will focus more on suggestions e.g. too bouncy suspension, cockpit view etc.
I also started working on customization, so stay tuned ;)
Release news - Free roam and new content !!!
Pure Rock Crawling is less than 24 hours from its release. Big thanks to all of the people who already posted their sugestions here, or anywhere else ! Free roam will be an option to choose as many sugested. Apart from adding free roam, i just finished working on a new map and crawler as well (not seen in trailer or beta). Hope you all like it !
