So, let us invite you to the Underground Library!
While it's not the most anticipated place to find a library in, no room for doubt will remain once you step into these hallways. The caves you expected to see when going underground are not visible at all â instead, there's an ocean of bookcases all around you.
You know how the libraries in games are often full of decorations instead of any interactive objects that could be considered books? Well, we don't want to use that approach in Puzzles for Clef, even if we can't really write actual books and localize them into several languages. Thus, every bookcase will have something for you to check out, even if you wonât exactly have the capability of understanding the contents, haha. Apparently, some of the books will even be necessary for the puzzles and ciphers Cres has thought up for you!
Having a fancy librarian is also a must for any respectable library, right? Ours is not going to break such an important rule either! Mina, the reserved bookworm, is at your service! Need a recommendation? She will readily help you with any request, having read all the books here⌠a few times. Oh, and she is based on âbombyx moriâ, or the domestic silk moth, if youâve been wondering.
The four seasons from Clefâs world are overall quite different from our own, and youâll be able to find out how they originated here in the Underground Library. Such precious myths just canât be placed into some boring empty rooms, obviously, so each of those is accompanied by a special mural illustrating the respective story.
