December 14: Big Changes to Pyramid Raid's business model
We’re making big changes to the Pyramid raid business model on Monday. The game will become a single-player, paid app with no micro-transactions. The new version may go up quite late in the evening or on Tuesday morning for you, depending where you are located; we're in Munich, Germany and Valve is in the Pacific time zone in the US and we have to coordinate the switch-over.
The TL;DR: The game has no traction as a free-to-play title, so we’re converting the game to a single-player, for-pay app at €2.99. If you downloaded the Free to Play version previously, you will be able to download the new single-player version of the app for free.
Obviously, some changes to the game were needed to make it single-player:
• The first version of the paid app will be the run n’ jump portion, with 40 levels created by our lead designer and the staff. They are split into 4 content packs, which you gain access to by completing the previous pack;
• All the F2P rewards have been converted to gold, with which you can buy the skins, accessories, et al, that used to be in the Store;
• You earn the gold by grabbing the gold bars during game play;
• The level editor is removed from this edition. If we get enough support, we’ll release it later as an add-on;
• We have finished the Steam Achievements and some Trading Cards and added them to this version;
• Finally, these changes also mean there will be no online server to host scores.
We and will release the new version on Monday, December 14.
Thanks to everyone who played and offered comments and suggestions; we really do appreciate it!
Have a great holiday season, everyone!

Update today
Hi everyone,
There will be an update today at 11AM GMT+1 (German time). Here are the details:
Bugfix: German language files were not displaying on the proper computers. This should now be fixed; if you are playing in German, the language files should now display correctly.
New 1st Time Player Tutorial Path: If you are a 1st time player, after you log in and play the tutorial, you are immediately taken to the main menu, but with everything but the level packs locked. As soon as you complete all 10 levels of the 1st level Pack, we unlock the rest of the game for you.
Update Log: October 26, 2015
Version 0.5.1
We will update at 1500 Munich time to a new version:
Mummy Auto-Run has been disabled The number one requested change has been to turn off the mummy’s auto-run (a.k.a. Perma-Run). With this version, we have.
For the mummy to move now, you must press and hold either the left/right arrow key on the keyboard or the left/right controllers on your gamepad. When you release, the mummy will stop instantly in almost all cases. In a few cases, he will continue for a step or two. This is more in line with other jump ‘n run games.
Controllers Note: We have tested this inhouse with the Xbox controllers and have had no issues. However, the Playstation 4 controller still seems to have problems, so be warned. We’re on it, ːsteamhappyː.
Movement controls tightened We have tightened the movement of the mummy, improving its responsiveness to the controls and lessening momentum on slides. Most of this occurred simply by removing Auto-Run.
Menu Items Renamed My Pyramid has been renamed to Level Editor (both EN and DE)
Player Raids has been renamed to Player Levels (EN) / Spieler Level (DE)
Level Packs remains unchanged
Tooltips, Round 1: Descriptive text boxes have been added to some menu items. You’ll see these as click boxes featuring characters from the game (Seth the Mosquito and Frank the Scarab).
Client Update 0.5.0.3
Features
We added some Featured Levels! Find them in Lists under "Developer Featured" and "Community Featured Levels"
We improved the main menu buttons they have been resized and moved a bit, so you can find the important features like Challenges and the Crypt of Fate more better!
You can now also see if you have a Free try in the Crypt of Fate or if you solved a challenge from the main menu
Bugfixes
When leaving the shop it could happen that you would see a blank page. That has been fixed, you should now also always get to where you came from when you open the shop.
It was possible to climb a wall backwards grabbing nothing but the air. This is not possible anymore
The Music in the levels often wasn't playing, now it always starts playing.
Some German text labels were cut off, they should now be readable everywhere.
When creating a level with only start and a goal right below it you would get an error message. This has been fixed and you can now build such levels again without errors.
It was possible to only place one portal. This isn't possible anymore, so don't fear to lose your mummy in a portal!
Controller: We changed the "restart level" function from "LT" & "RT" to "Back" so you won't accidentally restart your level.
Known Issues
Music can overlap again
