Level Building Contest

Steam user Mrs Ellie (who previously wrote about leveldesign in Qbeh-1 here) has organised a levelbuilding contest! From now until May 7th, everyone in the Qbeh-community is invited to create their own levels and submit them to the contest! The theme is "Ruins", but you may interpret that in whatever way you choose. The 4 winners will each receive a free download code for the Qbeh-1 original soundtrack!

We can't wait to see what people come up with, so head over to the forums for the contest rules and go make some awesome levels!

Building levels in Qbeh-1

If you are new into level design - or want to try building levels with the Qbeh-1 level editor - Steam user Mrs Ellie has written an interesting article about level design in Qbeh-1. Mrs Ellie discusses how to create good gameplay in general - and how to avoid common problems when building your levels. Check out the article here!

ps. Don't forget to check our official guide for the level editor, which should get you started with the basics!

Community Levels

Qbeh-1 level editor is now a bit over one month old. While you can still experience some bugs - and the editor still doesn't have all of the assets you can find in the main game - that hasn't stopped you from creating exciting and interesting levels for others to venture in.

We decided to feature different community levels from time to time. We might even turn this into a monthly thing. What do you guys & girls think?

Disparity

by Steam user Don "Newton" Quixote

First community level we wanted to feature is Disparity by Steam user Don "Newton" Quixote. This level has a mysterious feeling with interesting use of both the geometry and lighting in its level design. The creator even hid in some secrets for you to find out! We suggest to check this one out and of course check out what other levels our players have uploaded into the workshop.

Download Disparity here.

Update 1.2.1

Lots of fixes to the Level Editor and the main game's cube placement issues have been fixed too.

A more detailed list can be found in the changelog.

Level Editor update!

Level Editor update is now live on Steam! You can build your own adventures and upload them to the Workshop for others to play! Update 1.2.0 also brings also 3 new achievements for you to unlock.
