An Important Message Regarding Red Shell

Quakers,

We have been experimenting with ways to help us grow the Quake community, and one way is to learn which of our advertisements and web content effectively bring new Quake players to the game. To be clear: our limited trial use of Red Shell in Quake Champions only gathers anonymous data, such as where new players are coming from or how many matches they played. This helps us work smarter to grow a stronger Quake community, built on players who will continue to play the game. The software does not collect any personal information.

That being said our players are our top priority. In response to your concerns, we’ve stopped collecting this data and will be removing the trial version of Red Shell from the game with a hotfix next week. We are still investigating how to use this technology in the future to help us grow and sustain Quake Champions moving forward. When/if we do add it back to the game, we’ll give everyone a heads up and explain what it is doing and how it is doing it, and any implementation will be compliant with our Privacy Policy and GDPR.

As of June 26, we have deployed a hotfix that removed Red Shell.

We’ll be deploying an update on 26.04.2018 that includes the new duo Champion: Strogg & Peeker, a new map Awoken, a new Super Nailgun vanity weapon: the Disruptor, and many quality of life improvements.

<*> Ability Drone Strike: Strogg enters a camouflaged state and deploys his drone. He assumes control of the drone, which can fly around and shoot at players using its Hyperblaster. Using the ability again causes the drone to accelerate forward and detonate upon collision.

Instagib is a fun, casual mode
In Instagib mode, every shot is a one-hit kill. Players start with the railgun and gauntlet, and there are no weapon, health, armor, or powerup pickups. Champions can use active and passive abilities, and cooldown hourglasses spawn on the map

NEW GAME MODE: RANKED 2V2 TEAM DEATHMATCH


2v2 TDM is a ranked mode where teams of two players face off
First team to reach 50 kills or the team with the most kills after 15 minutes expires wins

Update Jan. 18: Fixes to issues coming in January update

**Updated January 18**

Quakers, after careful evaluation of the hotfix planned for January 18, we have found that it isn't up to our standard of quality. Rather than release an unstable patch that could cause more problems for our players, we've decided to not release the hotfix today, and instead include the fixes as part of our January update, slated for next week.

We apologize again for the delay, but we hope you'll agree that taking time to release a solid update is the best option.

Early Access Update - 14.12.17 - Updated: Hotfix 10.01.18



UPDATE 2PM EST: We have discovered some issues that are occurring after this hotfix. In order to have the best possible performance, we are going to roll back to the previous game version. We plan to continue working on the hotfix to ensure that it is stable. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.

Designed for Duel and 2v2 TDM, Vale of Pnath is a highly vertical three atrium arena where players will fight for control of both weapons and stack, using the sounds of heavy metal doors to track their enemies movements. Vale provides fun, hectic, and fast paced action for 2 players, but is also available in Custom Game for Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch.
