In this article we will bring you along the process of our new QuestEvent Update that is comng out End of March 2016!

This week we will annnounce the updates that are in it and explain a bit more about some of them.

Update list

Down below you find a list of the new content that will be released with the new update.

  • Smithing Skill
  • Hitpoints updated
  • Bug Fixes
  • and some little things

This is just a short list. More things can be added later on.

Fishing Expansion

This week we will talk about the Fishing Expansion.

On this moment you can only fish some Raw Fish.
Raw Fish will be replaced with Raw Shrimps in the update, so you don't lose any fish you catched so far.

Beside of that little thing we have added another 11 fish sorts.
Sardine, Anchovies, Herring, Trout, Pike, Salmon, Tuna, Lobster, Swordfish, Shark and Manta Ray.
They are all spread out over the Fishing skill. The highest fish is the ?Manta Ray that can be catched on level 91 Fishing. The lowest one is Shrimps (LEvel 1) and Sardine (Level 5).

With the raw fishes you can go to a Cooking Range and cook them for Cooking XP!
But more about cooking next week.

Thanks for reading this first Blog Post of QE
Please leave some feedback down in the comments so we can adjust the fishing skill if needed with your given feedback.

Regards,
QE Team

Upcoming Plans QuestEvent

Dear players,

With this announcement we want to tell all of our fans and players that QuestEvent will no longer been updated. But other great plans are coming!

Why no updates anymore?

We are very glad to have a great community that helps us at the development of QuestEvent. A lot of negative feedback was given and we decided to take those negative feedback very seriously. Theirfor we decideded to make a whole new game for QuestEvent. More fancy, Better graphics and a new engine. to focus on that, we cant do any updates on our existing game at this moment. as we want to deliver better quality for you.

Wow!, Wait! is QuestEvent coming into 3D?

Yes! that is main focus of our new QE game. 3D game made in Unity 5.1 will bring you better quality of grapichs and gameplay. We are very excided about this and what you involved during development!

How can we be part of the development?

In a few days our new Forums will be ready at http://forum.questevent.org where you can leave all of your game ideas and feedback that we will look into it one by one and give feedback back to you if it is going to be into the game or not. More about that on the Forums later this week!

We hope that you don't blame us about not updating the game anymore.
We will deliver a better game for you with Unity!

Core features for QuestEvent 3D:

  • Skills to practise (Woodcutting, Firemaking, Fishing, Cooking, Mining, Smithing)
  • Better Combat System
  • Over 20 quests
  • Capital Cities and little cities along the way.
  • Character costumisation
  • Multiplayer
  • And more!

Okay! sounds awesome! what about the price?

The price will be a one-time fee of €19.95 ($19.95).
For those who have the current version of QuestEvent already, they will get an discount of 25% and only pay €14.95 ($14.95)

Little FAQ:
Q: Can i use my old saved game with the new version?
A: No, you cant as it is a new engine and doesn't support Ruby.

Q: What will be the Specs for the new game?
A: We are not that far yet. but we will announce that as soon as we know them.

Q: Will there be a Pre-order?
A: We are planning to have one, yes

We hope that we made a good decision to start over with a much better engine en that you will going to love QuestEvent as it should be.

Summer Break Update

Dear QuestEvent Players,

As you notice, we haven't done much in July. This is because the Summer Break we are having on this moment. July and August are 2 busy months for Work and Holidays. We decided to focus us on those 2 things to get fresh into a new period of great updates in September! We are working behind the scenes to have an update ready begin September.

Our new website and forum will be released with the update in September.
The countdown has been changed to the correct date.

We are also busy with 3D modelling and running some first tests of a QuestEvent 3D Version :D

We can't wait until we see you all again in September.
Have a great holiday to you all.

Regards,
QE Team

    <*>3D Version???
    <*>And maybe more...

After this is all released, we will move to a Full Release of QE!

??? = We are looking into this and hope to do this in the future.
The 3D version is not something we want to be finished before Full Release.

    Update: QuestEvent V0.5!

Today we releasing a new build of QuestEvent with a new feature that helps you levelling some faster! Read more here down below.

    Bonfires

The QE team has been working hard to implement the "Bonfire" upgrade for the next update.

Players will now be able to burn up to 24 logs of any type automatically without waiting for the fire to burn out. (as long as you have the necessary Firemaking level for the log and the logs in your inventory) .

This makes leveling up your Firemaking skill much faster, as you no longer have to wait for each fire to burn out before burning another log.

    Rebalancing Firemaking / Woodcutting

After some complains that Woodcutting takes a lot of time we have looked into it to change some times of cutting those logs. Down below you find a list of what we did.

    • Reduced Willow Cutting from 4 seconds to 3 seconds. (per log)
    • Reduced Maple Cutting from 5.8 seconds to 4 seconds. (per log)
    • Firemaking with Bonfire Technic: 1 log every 2.5 seconds (24 per fire / minute)

    Other News & Patch Notes

Beside the update, we made some small changes to the existing content:

    • The statue in Clevertown now has a description to read.
    • The man (Potion Quest at the beginning) will now Always randomly move and won't block your way anymore.
    • We checked and corrected some English Spelling / Grammar
    • Bandit Quest 2 has been added to the Level-up message. (15 Firemaking)

That's the update for this time.
Enjoy QuestEvent and see you next week with the Minimap Update!

    Regards,
    QE Team
