Patch 1.2
New
Added Item Shop. Unlocked items are now centralized so you can easily choose what to use instead of wandering in the Overworld.
Added Spell 'Shop'. Same reasoning as above - reduces wandering.
Added Moneystrike Ability. Repair a bunch of things in the Overworld and defeat the Robot Skullfaces with gold. This ability is available from the Spell 'Shop' in Town.
Added lots of little things to fix up in the Overworld. PRO TIP - the path to the Scrap Forest dungeon needs to be cleared with the Moneystrike ability.
Added Quest Billboard in town. It's now more clear that there are 3 sidequests to help the players gain the power to defeat the Skullfaces.
Added lots of 'flavour' NPC dialogue in the Overworld.
Added Birds in the Overworld. They fly around and are quite majestic.
Added many details to the Overworld. Especially nicer cliffs.
Added Potion Tutorial when first starting the game.
Added 'Escape' option from the options menu. You can now immediately exit a dungeon.
Added more distinct 'room types' in dungeons. This will appears as similar meshes being more reliably grouped together in dungeons.
Added some more details in dungeons. Minecart tracks are my personal favourite.
Changes
Changed almost every Boss Fight. Many custom room layouts were made into more of an arena. Some fights have updated mechanics or enemy additions.
Changed Item cost - they are now free. This should allow more freedom for creativity when choosing item and spell combinations.
Changed Item Unlock Progression. More items start unlocked (after clearing the first dungeon) and more items are unlocked earlier.
Changed Overworld Progression. Clearing dungeons automatically unlocks gates/bridges instead of needing to spend gold. Most progression blockers are in the beginning of the game when gold is scarce anyway.
Changed Wandering Dungeon Enemies. A bunch of types of Skullfaces will now wander in dungeons to attack the players.
Changed Post Processing and Lighting. Overblown lights shouldn't be as bad now.
Changed visual effect for Possessed Skullfaces. This is now similar to the Smelter Boss in the Mine.
Changed Shield Skullfaces. They take 1 damage when hit from the front instead of 0. It's still preferable to attack them from behind.
Removed the changing sky colours in the background. The intention was always that the Overworld was getting better as the players fought the robots and returned, but unlocking details with the Moneystrike Ability seems much more direct.
Removed Skuttler on Kill Item. It may have been used in an interesting combination with other items and spells, but it's use was far too niche.
Fixes
Added tons of missing feedback particles/sounds
Too many bug fixes to keep track of!
Update 1.1b - More Bug Fixes
I don't have a consistent naming convention for updates figured out yet, but fixing a couple more bugs doesn't warrant v1.2 in my opinion!
Fixes
Fixed Fire spell missing in new spell room layout
Fixed scene transition disconnect issue when an AI ally is left alone
AI use potions on players when their health is actually low
Gold on Hit item only activates when at least 1 damage is dealt
Gold on Hit item will create gold coins from the victim of the attack, not the instigator
Update 1.1 - Random bug fixes and Improvements!
Fixes
Players don't have a collision issue when respawning in Overworld
Heal spell particles now clear correctly when Friendship Energy is too low
Fixed bug with Delivery time not saving correctly
Additions
Added Resolution drop down to Settings Menu
Added Reset Data button to Settings Menu
Added nicer textures for Armoured Enemies
Added Offscreen line indicators
F1 key shows framerate
Changes
Increased cost of Overworld progression from 50 to 100. This should help reduce the insane amounts of money earned
Reduced the number of rescued prisoners required to unlock an item from 10 to 8. Players can now more strategically choose which encounters they want to activate and which to avoid
Lots of items are unlocked after the first dungeon is cleared. This should allow more subtle customization between players
Added Cheer Heal item. This adds a slight health gain to allies when cheering to differentiate the role of cheering and the Heal spell/Potions
Cheer is now affected by the Radius Increase item. In addition to the Cheer Heal item, you have more ways to customize your Cheer ability
Crates now sometimes drop Friendship Energy Crystals or Skullface Skuttlers instead of always coins. It's more fun
All unlocked spells are available in each dungeon's '???' floor. This allows players to change tactics much more easily during the dungeon
Stars spell was moved earlier to the Forest Meadow. This allows players to take the role of a ranged attacker in their party much earlier
Roots spell was moved later to the Candy Orchard. This spell is very useful against Chargers, which only start appearing from that dungeon onwards
If a player is offscreen for 5 seconds, they teleport back to a player that is on screen. This in combination with the lines should help players keep track of themselves
