Fighting Game Fest Discount and Update 1.7 (7/15/2024)

Hey everyone! It's been a while. With the Fighting Game Fest finally kicking off on Steam we thought we'd give you all an update.

With all of our development team having graduated from school, we've been focusing on releasing our FINAL (not including bug fixes) and LARGEST content update for QUICKDRAW, Update 1.7. Some things to look forward to:


  • Online Play, built with rollback netcode
  • New characters
  • New mechanics
  • Character palettes
  • ...and more!

These features are almost ready to be released, but we need more time to ensure this update is as polished as can be when you finally get your hands on it. In the meantime, we hope you'll enjoy a 25% discount on both QUICKDRAW and the QUICKDRAW Soundtrack in celebration of the Fighting Game Fest. We'll be back soon with more!

Patch Notes - Version 1.6 (8/28/2023)

General Changes
+) Redesigned an existing character: NYX
+) Added a second punish for QUINN
+) Added tie rounds when both players hit Straight Shot on the same frame
+) If the players tie when they're both on set point, the game will end in a tie
+) If only one player is on set point when a tie round occurs, the game will not end and the player who is not on set point will gain a round
+) Normalized the heights of jump shots across the cast
+) After executing an action, you can now buffer your next action 6 frames before the current action ends

Bug Fixes
+) Astrid’s punishes will now cause a screen shake on the final hit
+) Pressing punish during the buildup no long triggers a fail state
+) Holding backspace/select when the game isn’t paused no longer brings you back to the lobby

Patch Notes - Version 1.4.1 (1/18/2023)

Notes
After yesterday’s patch, we found a game-breaking bug involving our Buildup timers. We removed the bug, but reimplemented it as a feature because of the gameplay possibilities it opened.
General Changes
+) Instead of a fully randomized Buildup timer, there are now only three possible timings, here are the timings for each Speed:
+) FAST: 0.75s (4%), 1.25s (4%), 1.75s (92%)
+) NORMAL: 1.75s (4%), 2.25s (4%), 2.75s (92%)
+) SLOW: 4.75s (4%), 5.25s (4%), 5.75s (92%)
+) CHAOS: 1.9s (33%), 4.75s (33%), 7.3s (33%)

Patch Notes - Version 1.4 (1/17/2023)

Notes
For Update 1.4, we wanted to polish the user experience and iterate upon our core mechanics in a way that encourages more methodical & involved play.
General Changes
+) During the Buildup phase, the Actions of both Players will now shuffle every second
+) When a Player whiffs an Action, the order of their Actions is no longer shuffled
+) Adjusted the FX of certain Actions for better visibility
+) Various improvements to the Lobby (detailed more in the ‘Lobby’ section)

Lobby
+) The settings portion of the Lobby is now optional, you can use the Y/Triangle button to swap between the characters & settings
+) Adjusted SFX for when a player’s cursor is used to navigate
+) Added SFX when a controller is connected/disconnected
+) Adjusted SFX when readying up before a match
+) Added feedback when the game is started by a player
+) Added more visual indicators for a readied-up player
+) Added a visual prompt for controller connection
+) Various tweaks to existing Lobby visual assets

Target Rush

Online Play

+) Fixed the shop’s currency on resolutions greater than 1080p
+) Fixed an issue that caused players’ high scores in Target Rush to become corrupted, players may have their previous high scores reset as a result of this fix
+) Fixed an issue that caused players to not be able to connect input devices to Local Play after playing Target Rush

Patch Notes - Version 1.1 (12/22/2021)

General Changes
+) Added the 'Supercharged' achievement
Target Rush
+) Added POWERUPS to Target Rush
+) Empowered targets will now spawn while playing, these can be broken to gain a POWERUP
+) You will randomly gain one of four POWERUPS after destroying an empowered target, these POWERUPS include:
+) NUKE: Destroys all targets in a massive explosion
+) HASTE: For 16 seconds, all of the player’s actions will come out 2x as fast
+) PIERCING SHOT: For 16 seconds, every target you destroy will destroy all other targets of the same color
+) EXTRA LIFE: Grants the player an extra life
+) You can hold one POWERUP at a time
+) POWERUPS can be activated with Space (PC) / Triangle (PS4) / Y (Xbox)
