Updates 10 & 11!

After long and exhausting development process, we're happy to announce, that updates 10 and 11 are ready to download!

- Assembly room component production UI
- Component market - buy components you need, and sell the redundant ones
- Component production - you can now produce components from the technologies that you researched
- Tooltip with details of the month on the timeline.
- A lot of bug fixes and tweaks. Including but not limited to:
- Removed flickering of elements in the game panel when opening them for the first time
- Fixed issue with disappearing engineers
- Collapsing panels in the staff management panel
- Fixed strange values in the company finances
- Fixed issues with sacking off the engineers that were still working on a component

Next update will finally bring new content to the game - stay tuned!

Bundled updates up to #9

Dear Steam Members,

Latest update combines all missed weekly updates since update #5 into one big release. We apologize for lack of informations on those smaller updates that happened in between - we were extremely busy working on this one.

UPdate #5

Please accept our apologies for a late update. We are working very hard from the beginning of September to make Race to Mars better. You can find the list of the updates below:

- System for displaying notifications and receiving emails

- Blur added under the UI panels; improved blur effect on the pause screen

- New, redesigned buildings tech tree. Buildings has been relocated on the map. Now you can start their construction.

- Game Over panel displayed when ammount of the company money goes below 0

- Menu and UI for saving and loading games. The load functionality will be avaliable in the future updates.

- Alternative mode for the end turn button - simulate three turns in the time of one

- Displaying content of the notification in the inbox panel

- Menu in the administration building

- Bank loans section in the administration building

- Marketing and PR section in the administration building

- All loans and marketing campaigns values are the placeholders for now.

- Animation for the changes in money, hype and prestige parameters

- Improved switching between game panels and sections. Focused panels highlighted.

- Timeline money switch - displaying icons when bank loans and marketing campaigns ends.

- Implementation of the "Risk & Opportunity" panel, that displays a chance of the random events occuring during end of turn phase.

- Graph system implementation. Displaying profits from the marketing campaigns and changes in the resources using graphs.

- Raports section in the administration panel displaying information about changes in the resources splitted into turns

- "Risk & Opportunity" system, that generates random events during end of turn phase depending on their chances

- UI panel and implementation of the scientific conference system

- Fixes and tweaks in the UI panels animations and behaviour

Once again we are very sorry for a late report. As you can see we are still working on the game and we are going improve the communication with the comunity as well.

Update #4

Today we give into your hands the next update - list of changes below:

- Big refactor of game code. Fixed couple of bugs.

- Refactored code responsible for managing state of game panels.

- Moved creation of the company from game screen, to menu screen. Removed starting conference - instead you have the option to select your company CEO from 3 options. Selected CEO will affect the initial image of your company. The image will change during the course of the game.

- Changes to the game interface. End turn button was moved to the bottom left corner. Timeline aligned to the left side of the screen - shows now more months into the future. Inbox button moved to the bottom right side of the screen. Added three toggle switches between timeline and inbox button - tough they dont have any action attached yet. Stats at the top right corner show now counter of threee active ingame currences, money, prestige and popularity.

- Fixed bugs occuring when starting another game without exiting application and when using game settings.

Today we give into your hands the next update - list of changes below:

- The Linux is now operational. You need to download the missing libraries or simply launch game using the script we provided that will do it for you. Packaged version cooming soon - unity devs assured us that they are working on it.

- Clicking on National Space Agency opens NSA panel.

Update #2

Today we give into your hands the next update - list of changes below:

- Removed memory overflow while loading data from xml
- Fixed the behaviour of the list of countries from "create company" panel. You can now scroll the list using your mouse wheel and change your selection.
- List of countries from "create company" panel correctly hides itself when other elements on the panel are selected.
- Fixed issues with launching pause screen.
- Started refactoring of the code responsible for handling game UI and state. Temporarily disabled interactions with all buildings except the administration. This will be fixed in the incoming weeks as more of the game code will get refactored and moved to the new system.
- Clicking on buildings is no longer possible while there is a popup screen visible.
- Restored animated notification about progressing turn end on the top menu bar.

Other small tweaks, fixes and refactoring. As a result of the changes some functionality from previous builds has been temporarily disabled. The content is still there and will be re-enabled as soon as we finish refactoring and revising it.

Today we released a small update which is the basis for a larger and more visible update that we're getting ready for the next week.

Update #1

Hello everyone,

Today we give you our first update for Race To Mars. There is still a lot of work in front of us but the first month we devoted to learn and understand the complexity of technical side of RTM, sort out the game’s code and plan future fixes was very fruitful.

The update we share with you today does not solve all the game’s issues but is a good base for future updates and was worth the time we spent on sorting things out. After studying the code in detail we are confident to say that future updates will be available once a week. We figured that small but frequent updates will better serve fixing the game rather than two or three major ones that would keep you waiting.

We are counting on your support during the process. That is why as of today there will be two additional threads on our Steam forum where you can post your ideas and suggestions for fixes and adjustments. The bugs you report directly to us will have our top priority. Old threads shall be closed to keep our communication clear and sorted.

Today’s update:

- Fixes performance issues on some machines

- Fixes a bug connected with time display during research

- Fixes a bug that caused upgraded elements from being available for production

- Fixes an issue with zooming on buildings

- Fixes some spelling and text messages

We are happy to inform you that as of now One More Level is the new publisher and co- developer of ‘Race To Mars’.

We are aware that since the game became available through Steam’s Early Access there had been some issues and bugs you as RTM players were kind enough to raise to Intermarum’s attention. You have the right to feel mistreated since then.

We are not going to make any excuses for Intermarum dev team. They did their best putting their heart and skill into the a very ambitious and complex project. Sometimes that kind of ambition and game complexity takes it’s toll.

But it’s all in the past.

Let us start by making it right with all of you who had bought ‘Race To Mars’ by giving each of you a FREE copy of our upcoming game Warlocks vs Shadows. This is a way for One More Level of saying THANK YOU for your support and patience so far.

All you have to do is to add One More Level to your friends list on Steam. This will let us know that you own a copy of Race To Mars and makes it easy for us to send you a code for downloading ‘Warlocks vs Shadows’.

New Update - Contracts & Dotations

In today's update we want to show you two new features - contracts and grants. These are ways to get funding in game and are key for the game's mechanics. It is another step towards integrating the game into a final product - there will be a lot more contracts than available now, so there will be a lot of choices.

Currently due to the Project Manager implementation being incomplete, we suggest you prices worth offering for contracts - in the future it will be dependant on a PM's skill.

We hope that with every new update you will be able to glimpse the vision of what we intend Race To Mars to be and that the game will give you even more fun.
