October 2018 - Season Results

Below are the results for the closing events of the season of October.

We had the Mexican Prix which saw NASTYWOLF on top, followed by natzgool and Bomber1.

The weekend also hosted the final round of the Cavrón Cup on the circuit of Sabrava. Here the 1st place is taken by the defending champion Change Persists, with NASTYWOLF right behind him and Bomber1 in 3rd position.

Change Persists' victory in the final round wasn't enough though, and the title of the second edition of the Cavrón Cup goes to NASTYWOLF, congratulations!

And now the final rankings for the season.
The winner of October 2018 is NASTYWOLF!
The now two times champion takes back the title from Change Persists who won last season.

Change P. placed 3rd in this one, confirming he is one of the best right now.

In 2nd position we find Bomber1! His consistency through out the season paid off, placing him just 9 points above Change Persists, very close fight there. I'm really impressed by the improvements he has made from previous seasons, well done.

4th position for natzgool, also making good improvements.
Then we have the new comer L_Htz followed by Gligar101.

Patch 25/10/18

Hi racers, this patch is a filler between the “user experience” patch 1 and 2, which is planned to be released on Friday next week.

Patch content:

  • Improvements to the eSport interface, more informations are present now and players can rate tracks.
  • Added more changeable track parameters to add variability and characterization.
Weather, time of day, primary color and sponsors.
  • Adjusted FOV for cockpit cameras to be more realistic.
  • Track indicators have been shrunk.

Another exciting news, operations for the substitution of the old engine with the new one have started! The new engine will bring to the table a lot of stuff and will improve performance for those PCs that are now having issues.
I don’t have a release date for now but will announce it as soon as we do.

Patch 11/10/18

Hey racers, a new patch is coming with improvements in menu navigation and skins!

Patch content:

  • From now on new players will recive a skin with a standard template and colors picked at random from a selected palette, so now random skins are consistently better looking. Players who got the older random skin will have it replaced with the new one.
  • New skins! Some will replace old ones to increase overall quality and others are just added increasing the total number to 24. For this reason all previously created skins will be wiped, sorry about that! But creating skins is so much fun anyway :)
  • Visual improvements to the Car Crafting section.
  • Fixed some navigation issues, particularly in the Season Rankings section.

The new RC2018 layout

And that's it for now, enjoy the new skins!

Patch 21/09/18

And here we are with the second patch focused on user experience, this time enhancing leaderboards and navigation (no, no mouse support so don't get into expectations XD)
Lets dive in:

  • Grip level will be shown in more places, like events lists and in-game HUD, to remind you to brake early the next turn.
  • Top Speed metric has been added, requested by Brahn.
  • In MySeason, races part of a championship or tournament are now indented under their father event.
  • Leaderboards will now display RP and SP for each driver, points displayed are provisional when the event is not over yet.
  • Points multiplier displayed for each event.
  • Personal status within a tournament displayed on the tournament page, so you don't have to wonder why the "Race" button is not available anymore.
  • Separation between tournament/championship rules and their single races in the event’s infos.
  • First stage of navigation polishing, cleaned some menu navigation paths.

Next patch will include improvements for ghosts and post-event experience.
Good racing!

Patch 11/09/18

Hey there, this is the first of a series of patches aimed at enhancing user-experience. At the end of the process the game will feel much more alive and full of informations easily consultable.

Patch content:

  • This patch introduces the new My Season page, where you can find informations like SP earned and ASPEI changes for every event you have participated in along with your current season status.

  • SeasonPoints have been recalibrated and will now show a lower number than it previously did, so don't panic :P

  • As previously anticipated the calculation for the ASPEI has changed. Now your current ASPEI is determined by the average of your best 8 events out of the last 10 you have participated in. This new method gives players a margin to play more events without the pressure of ruining their index.

Next up will be provisional SP points on leaderboards, enhancement of the HUD and a "welcome back" pop-up window at game start with a recap of your season progress.

The Cravron Cup

The Cavron Cup is an historical championship, launched for the first time in 2012/2013. It's tipically done on weekends and its circuits are mostly very fast and with an easy tortuosity.

This will be the first edition on Racecraft of this adrenaline pumping event.
It's an official championship valid for the season of September, since the last event will end the 2nd of that month.
It will be played on 4 different tracks, one each weekend:

  1. From 10/08 to 12/08
  2. From 17/08 to 19/08
  3. From 24/08 to 26/08
  4. From 31/08 to 02/09

May the best driver win!
