Parsec turns any local multiplayer game into an online game. You can create a party and wait for other players to join you. To attract more players, you can make an announcement on the game's Discord channel, or suggest to any friend to join you, even those who do not own Ragdoll Runners.
Parsec works by streaming your game. Players who join your party play on your computer remotely. So like in local multiplayer, be careful not to assign the same key to two players.
If it's a bit laggy, you can let the less experienced player host the party. He will be slightly favored and the game will be more balanced.
Have fun!

Update 6: Lengthened the track for Triple Jump World Record
Hi folks,
It became almost impossible to beat the Triple Jump World Record because the track was too short. I lengthened it a bit. Go beat the record now! But do not go too hard, I don't want to lengthen the track again! :)
(by the way, the development of the mobile version of the game is progressing slowly but surely. I should be able to release it at the end of the year. If you want to be beta tester, please send me an email to ragdoll.runner@gmail.com)
To allow you to better customize your athlete,
- now you can change the secondary color of your outfit (blue is no more imposed)
- and in honor of the Paralympic Games in Rio, you can appear with prosthetic legs.
Update 4: Daily Contest and Scoring Update
Hi folks,
I made a few changes in the Daily Contest mode and in the scoring:
- Fixed the update of the Octathlon score on the leaderboard. If you were improving your Octathlon score too frequently (like 10 times in less than 5 minutes), Steam was ignoring your next score updates for several minutes. Now you send your Octathlon score only one time: when you finish your last attempt of the day (or when you get to the next day).
- Changed the number of attempts per day. Now it's the same for every player: 3 attempts for a race event, 6 for a jump event. Best players were complaining not having enough attempts and there was a possibility of cheating to the “Best Octathlon” leaderboard in giving more attempts to new players.
- Balanced the scoring system of the Octathlon. For example, achieving a good performance in Triple Jump was giving you more points than achieving a good performance in any other event (because I didn’t expect you to jump over 23 meters at the triple jump ^^), so a specialist in Triple Jump was advantaged over other specialists.
- Reset the “Combined Personal Bests” and “Best Octathlon” leaderboards to take these changes into account. You just have to launch the game to recalculate and update your “Combined Personal Bests” score. For the “Best Octathlon”, you have to play to the Daily Contest again and again and again :)
If you have any issues please let me know on the forum or by answering this news. If you have suggestions, you're also welcome on the forum, for example to talk about new events.
Note: you can help the game by writing a quick review on the store page :)
Have fun!

Thanks Gavin and Michael for your voices and Sean Wragg for the great mix.
Update 3: Watch Top Records
Hi runners,
In "All Time Leaderboards", I added a button to watch replays of top records (like in Daily Contest). Select an event => the button will appear. If you are in the "Friends" leaderboard, that will be the top records of your friends. Your own record is also in the replay to let you compare yourself to the best players and to your friends.
Tell me if you have any issue.
Reminder: you can play against any all-time record in the "Multiplayer" mode. Choose your "Online Opponents" on the right of the screen. Note that the "Challenge" is updated automatically each time you beat it. You can play against the World Record, the Challenge and some friends' record at the same time.
Update 2
- In "solo career", made more clear the possibility of playing unlocked levels (I saw some youtubers playing only the level 1 of each event even after having unlocked next levels).
- Fixed again bugs for players that have non-latin characters in their Windows username (C:\Users\[username]), like Russian or Chinese people. Some files couldn't be deleted (they couldn't delete guest players for example).
Please tell me if you encounter any issue.
Update 1: crashes fix for some specific players
Players that have a Windows username (C:\Users\[username]) with non-latin characters (like Russian or Chinese people) experienced crashes. Plus the Cloud was not working for them and their replays couldn't be downloaded by other players.
Now it should be fixed. Please tell me if you encounter any issue.
Note 1: some undownloadable replays will persist until I clean them or their authors beat their records.
Note 2: sorry to have taken two days to fix the problem but this was very tricky (haven't slept much).
Note 3: to update the game, sometimes you need to disconnect and reconnect to Steam. Or just wait a little.
