RAGE 2 - Now Available in Japan (New Update)

RAGE 2 has just launched in Japan today! We're excited to welcome our new players to the wasteland. This game launch included a game download for players of approximately 700mb.

So, when's that sweet new content dropping? RAGE 2's Update 1 is coming this month! We'll be sharing the patch date as soon as we finalize all of the fixes and features included. Stay tuned! Here's just a small bit of what's included.

You'll also want to tune into the Bethesda's E3 Showcase on Sunday, June 9 at 5:30pm PT for more newness coming to the game!

RAGE 2 – Gearing Up for Our First Game Update

Hey all. First, a big ‘thank you’ to everyone who has been playing RAGE 2 and kicking butt in the wasteland! We appreciate all the feedback we’ve been getting from you and fellow players throughout the Steam boards. We've been collecting all your feedback and reports of issues. The dev team is hard at work on implementing new features and bug fixes for our first big patch for the game, coming in June.

We wanted to take a minute to cover just some of the reported issues we are working to address:

  • Audio fixes, such as NPC audio dips
  • Menu optimizations (reduction in latency)
  • Several crash fixes
  • Racing bug issues, including finishing in 1st place but receiving 2nd place (how rude!)
  • Reducing the amount of Wasteland Wizard locations (from 15 to 3!)
  • A dialog prompt issue with Kvasir
  • Mouse acceleration/smoothing options
  • New AMD sharpness algorithm for all platforms (to address “blurry” complaints)
  • Nicholas Raine armor fix

Again, this is just some of what we’re addressing in our first game update. We will be providing a full list of patch notes as we get closer to finalizing everything that will be included in the update.

Outside of squashing bugs, the team is also working on adding new features to the game. We’ve seen the feedback that you want to be able to revisit some of the bandit camps that you’ve previously cleared. We love that feedback! In the near future, select bandit camps that you’ve cleared are going to be repopulated at an even higher difficulty with a reward incentive. The best part? The challenge is ongoing, so you can test your skills as you attempt to clear the outposts again and again, with the outposts getting more difficult each time. More details to come.

Be sure to keep an eye out for even more of the newness coming to RAGE 2 at the Bethesda E3 Showcase on Sunday, June 9. You won’t want to miss it!

Thanks again for all of your feedback -- keep it coming!

RAGE 2 - PC Hotfix [Denuvo DRM Removed] (5.16.19)

Today, we will be deploying a minor PC hotfix very shortly that will address the following issues:

  • Removes Denuvo DRM (We saw a few requests.)
  • Enables Crash Reporter for error reporting
  • Fixes occasional crash related to Scaleform
  • Fixes occasional crash on startup
  • Fixes issue where Bethesda.net users would always default to English
  • Razer Chroma effects enabled by default

We are continuing to review the Steam forums for player reported issues. If you are having any technical support issues, please be sure to submit a ticket to the Bethesda Customer Support team. We also suggest reviewing our FAQ for additional information.

Cheat Codes Coming to RAGE 2! BOOMSHAKALAKA!

RAGE 2 is bringing an old school favorite to the game -- Cheat Codes!

You may have seen the recent April Fool’s Day trailer for a “He’s on Fire” cheat code in the game, but that wasn’t a prank. It’s very real. The legendary voice artist, Tim Kitzrow, is lending his familiar announcing skills to RAGE 2. Watch the trailer to see and "hear" the He's on Fire cheat code in action as he narrates your tear through the wasteland!

There's a few more awesome cheat codes coming to the game at launch, with more planned for after the game releases on May 14. Here's a look at some of the cheat codes coming to RAGE 2!

  • He’s on Fire: Video game voiceover legend Tim Kitzrow lends his very familiar talents to RAGE 2 with the “He’s on Fire” Cheat. BOOMSHAKALAKA.

  • Git Gud: Sweet, sweet instagib. With “Git Gud” every enemy goes down in one hit. It’s not fair to your enemies, but f*** ‘em. You. Are. A. God.

  • Son of Thor: Much like the power Olivia Newton John is supplying in the hit film “Grease,” this Cheat is electrifying. When the “Son of Thor” Cheat is activated, the player becomes electric, electrocuting any enemies that get too close.

  • Klegg Support: The infamous (and douchey) Klegg Clayton is spawned as a friendly AI companion. We honestly don’t know if this is a reward or a punishment.

  • Phoenix Rejector Seat: Now this is just getting ridiculous. As opposed to the Phoenix’s Ejector Seat, which does what it says on the tin and ejects the player from the vehicle, the Rejector Seat leaves the player on the ground and ejects the Phoenix into the air. Like we said, ridiculous.

  • And So Much More: There will be more Cheats dropped into the game on a rotating basis, and additional Cheats will be added to the lineup post-launch.
