Summer update!

The Summer Update!

It's been a while since the last update and so it is time to get you the latest fixes on the game. Here's the complete list:




  • 4 new levels in the new level pack "Archipelago"
  • Switch profiles for towers - either use a "balanced" profile which is the usual behavior, or trade damage for increased range!
  • New Superweapon added! You may now emit a deadly blast from your HQ, vaporizing everything in range! It takes a while to reload, and the more often you use it the longer it takes, so choose wisely when to use it!
  • Added ability to quickly jump to the HQ (UI button or C key)
  • Fixed towers somestimes being hard to select without centering the camera first
  • Increased base range for Rocket and Plasma Towers
  • Removed sharing functionalities
  • Removing rewarded actions
  • Removed some debris from levels "Dead Roads" and "Downtown Destruction"
  • Reworked explosions to not be too obtructive
  • Fixed bad lightning in "Earths Inner"
  • Fixed sounds from the HQ not playing
  • Fixed UI icons sometimes showing wrong
  • Fixed some option toggles which were not working from time to time
  • Fixed cursor sometimes not showing up

No time to be lazy - Update for Hotkeys and Air Paths

The last update was not published long ago, but here are some more additions to the game which are now available with the latest update.

As you can see this update mainly focuses on giving you additional hotkey controls in menus. Also there are changing in how the air paths are displayed.

Full change list here:


  • Air paths can now be shown at will by toggling them with the corresponding button in the upper right corner in the game (or using the H key). Note: Blinking air paths will still be shown once airborne enemies have been spawned
  • Air path default visibility can be set in the options menu
  • Use the middle mouse key to scroll the camera
  • Right-mouse can now be used to go back in or close the main menu, build menu and upgrade menu
  • Hotkey added: Press T when a tower is selected to upgrade it
  • Hotkey added: Press X when a tower is selected to sell it
  • Hotkey added: Press 1 when a Nanite Tower is selected to toggle the nanite target
  • Hotkeys added: Use numeric keys 1-4 to navigate the build menu and buy towers
  • Showing loading overlay in main menu to clearly indicate that things are currently loading and you need to be patient for a second
  • Loading all scores of a level group at once now (in sequence) and showing level selection once the first level score is available. The rest is loaded asynchronousl
  • Adding and changing some ingame message hints
  • Fixed issue that if the user score was not among the top 50 of the level it was not displayed in the level selection at all
  • Achievements in connection with levels played will now only be unlocked if the level is actually played to the end (no matter if won or lost) rather than only started

Choo-choo! Update 2 arriving!

Finally it's about time for the next update, and this time it brings a lot of features, fixes and changes and also stuff you have been specifically asking for.

Let's not talk to much and praise the gods of game development or similar - just have a look at the changelog!

New & Improved

  • Showing clear tower and enemy data in glossary instead of generic texts
  • Upgrades of towers are visible in glossary as well now
  • Showing tower data ingame when hovering over the build button with the mouse
  • Showing tower upgrade data ingame when hovering over the upgrade button
  • Also showing money you get when selling
  • Showing user play statistics in main menu (new "Statistics" button)
  • Showing global average play statistics in Statistics screen
  • Allow to use ESC key in main menu for backwards navigation


Changes

  • Early release bonus for waves now calculated differently: For each wave skipped the target wave will get a bonus factor of 0.1 to points with a maximum of 1.2. Money bonus is exactly half of that.
    However, with a delay of 10 seconds after the enemy was spawned the bonus will drop by 0.1 every second until no bonus is left.
  • Enemies killed while being influenced by Nanite Emitters or Decelerators will grant an additional bonus of 0.1 to money and points
  • All towers have been rebalanced with changes in costs, damage, fire rate and range. For details have a look at the glossary
  • Heavy Raider's resistance against both types of damage adjusted
  • Granting damage bonus if enemy is damage with matching weapon type
  • Flying enemies are now clearly indicated in the wave queue as well
  • Decreasing time to hold down on button to release all waves to 1 second (previously: 2 seconds)
  • Hitting M (shortcut for releasing all waves) in the prewarm screen will now not only start the game but indeed also start all waves
  • Tutorial button has been moved to level group selection screen


Fixes

  • Minor fix for pathfinding in "Uphill Rush"
  • Minor fix for possible build positions in "Marksman's Paradise"
  • Minor fix for possible build positions in "Earths Inner"
  • Minor fix for possible build positions in "Magma Trident"
  • Fixing issue in order of score submission vs score loading
  • Fixing despawning of enemies which already have despawned
  • Fixing effect of Nanite Tower level 3
  • Fixing Mortar Projectile not causing area damage when not directly hitting an enemy

It's been quiet during the last couple of days, and there's a reason for that.

Update time!

The next update will be released soon and it is time to share an idea on what I have been working on: Expect new stats insights, enhanced tower detail display, reworked balancing, GUI improvements and some more enhancements and fixes!

First update!

BIg thanks to all the players who have bought the game so far, and a especially big thank you to all of you who provided so constant feedback and proposals for improvements!

This is so valuable, and of course you shall not be disappointed, so here it is, the first bigger update to the game (apart from a hotfix in the early day).

Update 1


Improvements



  • Moving the camera or zooming when the game has stopped (e.g. you won the level) is not possible anymore. This should help when scrolling through the leaderboards or using mouse and keyboard for various other reasons
  • Scores for the selected level group in the main menu are now loaded all at once instead only when clicking on the level selection entry. So now you can immediately see which levels you have won, or even ranked first (just allow it a second or two to really fetch the scores)!
  • Display of level groups in the main menu has been improved - no scrolling should be needed anymore
  • Some new icons in the main menu
  • AI pathfinding slightly improved


Fixes



  • The rank should now be correct when finishing a level
  • The leaderboard should now display all player names and also in the correct order
  • Achievements are working correctly now (was previously released in a hotfix)
  • Towers cannot be built too close to the level border anymore in most levels
  • It's not possible anymore to build towers inside of the HQ or the enemy portals
  • UI fixes when scrolling through the leaderboard at the end of a level
