🌳Return to the world of Rakuen for a new adventure
Mr. Saitou is a short game about an average white-collar worker who struggles to find meaning in a life full of constant overtime and social isolation. After an accident lands him in the hospital, Mr. Saitou is spirited away to a strange fantasy world where an unexpected friend takes him on a life-changing adventure. The game will be available March 23rd, 2023 on Steam (you can also find it bundled with Rakuen on Nintendo Switch)!
🌳Upcoming PC Update
Rakuen will be receiving a major update, including a new custom-built engine powered by Ebitengine. I'm particularly excited about this because it will solve some of the issues that are inherent to RPG Maker XP. For example: Players will now be able to play the game in full-screen mode without screen-stretching, they won't have problems if they click off the game during audio-synchronized cutscenes, and the game will run more smoothly. Hello everyone! I'm happy to announce that our new merch store is finally live! Here you can find Rakuen themed pins (like the chaotic good "No Holds Bard!!!"), an oil-painting-style Monsieur Bud "family portrait" poster, and stickers inspired by food & drink from the world of Morizora's Forest.
I'm so happy to announce that Rakuen is coming to Nintendo Switch (and Mobile)!
Five years ago, I set out to tell a story about love, living for others, and walking a mile in your neighbor's shoes. And through Rakuen, I've met so many incredible, kind and strong people who have shared their stories with me.

Rakuen 5th Year Anniversary Fan Art Contest
Hello everyone! Can you believe that on May 10th, Rakuen will be turning 5?? 😭😭 I can't either!!
We have a lot of cool things planned, starting with a Fan Art Contest & some really cool prizes!
How to Enter: -Post your submission in the Artwork section of Rakuen's Community Hub using #Rakuen5th somewhere in the title. -Alternatively, you can post your submission on Twitter using the hashtag #Rakuen5th -Deadline for submissions by May 10th @ 2pm PT! -You may submit fan art that you've made in the past (as long as it hasn't won a previous community contest).
Prizes: Winners will be the first to receive Rakuen themed merchandise from our new store!

What is a "Towel Cape Hero" story?
A "Towel Cape Hero" story, is a story about someone doing something kind for you that really turned your day around. A stranger helping you carry groceries when you were exhausted, your mom sending you a care package, someone helping you when your car broke down, anything really! I really believe that everyone can be a hero through their kindness, whether it's a huge gesture, or something that seems like a random every day occurrence. Thanks so much for sharing these with me!
