11.11.2018 1.0.2.0 Big Screen Optimisation

Hey Someone / Anybody,

Guess what. I have uploaded the latest release 1.0.2.0 and the game is now scaling properly on Big Screens, TV's etc. This isn't the last of the improvements. There is more I have to do. The game is still a little laggy on some systems. I will continue to improve the game loop etc so it will eventually run like a swiss watch. Until then hopefully it works ok on your system, whatever that is.

All for the moment - Cheers - Dev - sublemonal_au

Things need a fixin

Hey somebody (anybody),

Ok so I am becomming aware that there are a few problems with "OPTIMISATION". Yep. I do appreciate constructive criticism, and I have got the message. This game needs a little bit of pollish. So here are the issues that I am aware of and the order in which I will address them.

1. Screen Size Issues: It is very hard to get the thing working on every hardware configuration. The game looks good- ish on a regular computer monitor but everyone knows the big boys and girls like their big screens. It has come to my attention that Rand-O-mazE looks a little bit, um how should I put it, "stupid looking" on really big screens and televisions. So I will make it a priority to optimise the game to size the fonts and gui to match the screen sizes. This might take a little while because this isn't my day job guys, this is my hobby. And yeh I guess the price of $2.99 is a bit steep, but I don't care. Just go play Fortnight junior, it's free.

2. Hot plugging over 4 controllers, seems to crash systems with weaker specs. I am currently trying to bench mark a minimum spec for the 8 player modes. I am building a rig, with 8 usbports and get 8 gamepads and hook it up to a friken big screen and when I do, I will buy pizza and beer and have a gaming sesh and I will capture it with OBS and link it here ok. Then I will release the minimum specs for the 8 player. Won't that be good.

All for now - Cheers Dev - sublemonal_au

Thanks for your support and I hope you enjoy the game - Cheers Dev ( sublemonal_au )

Release Info:

3.11.2018 - 1.0.1.2 - Bug Fix - The last Bug Fix didn't actually fix the issue, so I had to approach the problem differently. Should be better. If your version is exiting on the first run, reinstall it and it should run first go now.

1.11.2018 - 1.0.1.1 - Bug Fix - The recent minor Improvement re-querying the steam leader board caused the game to terminate for some reason. I have added a 10 second delay to allow the steam callbacks time to do their stuff. Hopefully this fixes the problem.

31.10.2018 - 1.0.1.0 - Minor Improvements
- Improved Keyboard Mode - WASD is better? Personally I use the arrows. But hey, I added it (for the lefties).
- No more [unknown] steam users in leaderboards. Rand-O-mazE will requery steam until they become known..

28.10.2018 - 1.0.0.2 is live - Display Bug Fix - There was a issue causing the display to not be visible in part on some systems, chopping off the top and botton of the display and only rendering the center part to a height of 480 pixels. I think this issue is now fixed but if it is still a problem please let me know. Thank you to The Retro Viking for finding that.

26.10.2018 - 1.0.0.1 is live - Menu bug fix is now live - If you have any issues with menu displaying correctly, especially with big monitors, please uninstall and reinstall Rand-O-mazE. Thank you to Colossus for finding that.

26.10.2018 - Rand-O-mazE is live - 1.0.0.0 for Windows now on Steam
