Range Royale

Early Access Release Notes #3 (Build 09212018.01)

This is a quick patch to address some reported issues, including:

<*> Adjusted game mode settings to smooth progression and challenge concerns
<*> Changed Kar98k animations to improve positioning when not in ADS view
<*> Fixed bug that displayed incorrect text on some loading screens

Current Known Issues

<*> It is possible that users may not be able to configure certain keys correctly - especially the zeroing adjust keys. If this is happening to you, delete or rename the folder "C:\Users\YOUR USER DIRECTORY\AppData\Local\RangeRoyale\Saved\Config" and restart the game. All settings should now work.

Early Access Release Notes #2 (Build 09182018.01)

New release to address some of the Known Issues in yesterday's build:
<*> Fixed issue with first match of a given type not showing up properly in results
<*> Fixed an issue where some users did not get accurate match results in Zombie and Sniper modes
<*> Bots now shoot back (we're continuing to work on this)
<*> Mode adjustments to address issues in Zombie, Speed Shooter, and Bot Battle

Additionally we fixed a few other issues that were reported including:

<*> Missing badge icons
<*> Shots landing outside the dark area of paper targets were sometimes counted as hits
<*> Shots were sometimes double-counting as either hits or misses

Current Known Issues

<*> Bot behavior still has issues
<*> Some key binds may still be problematic (including the zeroing function)
<*> Due to the inaccurate results issue above some matches played on the first Early Access build were not counted toward player scores or performance history

Welcome to Range Royale Early Access!

We’re excited to open the Range to the Steam Community! Gamer Sensei’s mission is to help every player win more in the games they love. As part of that mission we began building Range Royale to help players get better at winning firefights in FPS and Battle Royale games. Based on early testing we believe that sustained practice with Range Royale can result in improved overall accuracy and a boost in reaction speed that players will notice when competing in FPS & Battle Royale games. Escalating challenge levels and a deep badge and progression system allow each player to track their own progress as they improve their core skills.

This Early Access release has many core features and game modes already fully working - but it’s not yet a finished game. That’s why we’re looking for feedback from you to help Range Royale to become the best training range available!

While today is the start of Early Access, the Range has been in development for some time. In case you haven’t been keeping tabs on our progress, we’ve been busy over the past few months adding a new weapon (Kar98k), new scopes & sights (4x, 8x, Red Dot) and a whole new mode - Sniper Training. We’ve also added a number of features from community requests, including variable scope zeroing, distance meter on scopes in Sniper Training, more accurate burst recoil, and a full cloud-based stats and information system that stores all match data (when you log in with a free Gamer Sensei account).

We’re looking forward to working with Early Access players to improve the game experience even more as we continue with development.

See you on the Range!

Sniper Range Now Available to Test

We're happy to announce that the first version of the Sniper mode is now open for testing. This feature was originally scheduled to launch during Early Access, but we've been able to get it in sooner! Now that it's in we want to give it time to be tested and tuned, so we're moving our expected public Early Access launch to September to give us time to get this mode in good shape.

If you want to get your hands on it sooner and you're not already in Beta, check our earlier announcement for the Beta Signup form link.

    Get ready for Range Royale!

Welcome! Get ready to challenge your skills and develop your aiming reflexes with Range Royale! The game is currently in beta testing while we work toward a planned Early Access launch later in August. We'll post updates here as the game progresses.
