Epic 9.8. New weapons and upgrade system changes
New weapons
Update 9.8 contains new weapons and shields. The good news is that it's crafted from your old weapon, so valuable stats, upgrades, and soul gems will stay with you.
So, to upgrade your weapon from the Isle of the Forgotten Gods, you will need:
- the main enchantment slot is your weapon from the Island,
- Auxiliary cell - a similar unfinished weapon from the Circus (can be unopened),
- Material slot - Luciad's pure energy (25 for one-handed weapons and 50 for two-handed weapons).
The pure energy of Luciad can be obtained in the Labyrinth of Light.
Upgrade after +20
The enchant system up to +25, which has already become familiar, has undergone significant changes in epic 9.8. First of all, the maximum level of improvement is now +20, and further improvement comes from increasing the strength of Luciad.
As soon as your item becomes +20, it gains 1 level of Luciad's power.
Luciad's maximum power level is +32 for all old armor and weapons, and 40 for new pure white weapons and shields.
To increase the power level of Luciad, you will need to place the following items in the enchantment window:
- the main enchantment slot is your weapon or armor,
- Auxiliary slot - Luciad's power: weapons/armor,
- material slot — pure or improved Lusiad's cube.
You can get Luciad Power for a weapon by combining any weapon that has at least one level of Luciad Power with the Luciad Power Extractor (purchased from a blacksmith for 200,000,000).
The number of Extractors needed corresponds to the Luciad's power level of the original item: for example, to extract power from a weapon with a power level of 32, you would need 32 Extractors. Same with armor if you want to get Luciad's power for armor.
The Pure Cube of Luciad is used to boost Luciad's strength to +32 and below. You can get it as a drop from any bosses above level 150 or from the chest of the Labyrinth of Light.
Improved Luciad's Cube is needed to increase Luciad's strength from +33 to 40. You can get it in the Labyrinth of Light.
But what about things that have already been enchanted above +20? Don't worry, they will automatically change and get the Luciad power upgrade corresponding to their level of enchantment (statistics will not change):
Before -> Now (Luciad's power level)
- 20 -> 1
- 21 -> 2
- 22 -> 4
- 23 -> 8
- 24 -> 16
- 25 -> 32
Awakening weapons and accessories
If earlier the number of lines in the awakening of weapons and accessories was 5, now you can increase their number to 7, as well as change some options at your discretion.
To do this, you will need special awakening stones: Blessed Awakening Stone and Blessed Awakening Stone: accessories.
To get a stone of blessed awakening, combine a regular stone of awakening with the pure energy of Luciad. Similarly - with a stone for accessories.
If you are not satisfied with any of the proposed options, but like all the others, you can easily change just one line with the help of awakening stone I - VII.
Here's how it works: choose which stitch you want to change and apply the appropriate stone. For example, in this weapon we want to change the 4th line.
Take awakening stone IV, combine it with weapons.
Result:
Awakening stones for one line are purchased in the game store.
Soul Stones
Serene Soul Stones (2) can now be upgraded to +5 or +10 with Energy Master. To upgrade to +5, you need Soulstone Essence (obtained in Labyrinth of Light).
Place the items of equipment that you want to improve the gems in in the Soul Gem Management window of the Energy Master. Place the essence of the soul stone in the bottom cell. Click on the button below the stone you want to upgrade.
Upgrading above +5 will require Unstable Soulstone Essence (purchased from the in-game store).

Epic 9.8: Labyrinth of Light: New Dungeon
You can get into the labyrinth starting from level 200 - it is on it that you will open a special chain of quests necessary to enter. Everything will start at the Messenger of the Community, Luciad Ruf, on the pier of the Dead City with the task “A Forgotten Reason”, and after a few quests you will find yourself in the Templar Refuge, where the entrance to the dungeon is located. Gather a party, it's not safe there!
Entering the dungeon, you will find yourself in a kind of "foyer" - on a small platform, surrounded on all sides by darkness. Use the login device to go further.
The maze of light consists of 16 arena rooms that you have to go through, moving along the chain. How exactly to get through? Of course, kill all living things. But there is a catch: for the whole journey you are given 30 minutes and not a second more. The good news is that arenas can be jumped over. To do this, you only need a little knowledge.
The monsters in each arena are approximately the same, they differ only in level - the farther, the stronger they are. So, your goal is to kill everyone, and as quickly as possible - the less time it takes, the better the final reward will be.
Each time you kill a guardian of rank A (B, C or D), all members of the group will be shown information about the remaining time and the number of the core of the Guard.
The number must be remembered (if you forget, just click on the sphere that remains after the death of the Guardian).
When all four Guardians are killed, add up their numbers and go with this knowledge to the portal with the tablets opposite the entrance.
Each tablet is a statement about your final number:
- This number is prime - true/false
- This fibonacci number is true/false
- This number is even - true/false
- This is a square number - true/false
When the plate is up, it is in the True position, and when it is down, it is in the False position.
For example, the numbers of the core of the Guardians you killed are 2, 6, 4 and 3. Add these numbers and get 15. We look at the plates whether these statements are true or false for the number 15, put them in the right position and use the device to enter.
Each correct answer is a missed room, meaning with 4 correct answers you will move 4 rooms forward. If you answer all 4 questions incorrectly, you will be moved to the beginning.
At the tablets in the first room you will meet Templar Oui. Take the Quiz King quest from him to get an extra talent point as a reward!
In the last room you will find a chest with a reward. For every minute left on the timer by the time you get there, you will receive a 1% bonus to loot from the chest. The chest is opened by one member of the group, and everyone receives the reward.

The testing for epic 9.8 has started!
In this update:
- added a new dungeon — Labyrinth of Light, and a new quest chain
- a new type of weapon has appeared - pure white (you can upgrade your existing weapon to it),
- maximum character level increased to 240,
- maximum profession level increased to 120,
- the 3rd level of pumping was added to the first skills for OT,
- added additional levels of some skills,
- equipment upgrade principles have been changed to +21 and higher,
- new lines for awakening weapons and accessories have been added (previously 5, now up to 7),
- and many other new features and changes.
