We just updated the game with the new patch 1.4. It includes the following minor fixes:
The last image of the cutscene has been updated;
The ending cutscene can now be skipped when Enter/Start is pressed twice;
When using Stage Select, you now begin with 5 lives instead of 2;
Added an anti-splicing system for speedrunning;
Other minor adjustments for performance.
To help the speedrunner community, we are preparing Ravva and the Cyclops Curse to work with LiveSplit! We're already making tests and the final details will be posted soon in the forums.

Time flies!
Our very first game just completed a year of its release, and we could not be happier. Seeing our game being played by people from all around the world is amazing! We're happy to see you all having fun with the game, all those kind messages we've received are breathtaking.

Patch 1.3 is live!
Greetings, summoners!
We just updated the game with the new patch 1.3. It includes the following minor fixes:
Updated small visuals for block explosions, shot collision and enemy death.
The Green Block had its visuals updated. This is due to their original format being too similar to the Yellow Block and it was a small inconvenience to colorblind players. The new visual is more unique.
Added custom controllers on the launcher INPUT tab. This will allow players with different or special keyboards to rebind keys properly.
Minor polishments here and there.
The main thing this update brings is a long-requested feature:
Stage Select.
As the name suggests, is a screen where you can freely choose from which level you will start playing. Accessing it is simple, but hidden. All you have to do is press the following sequence during the Press Start Screen:
The code works both with the controller and keyboard, and with whichever key binds you set for the movements, like WASD. As long you press UP, LEFT, RIGHT, UP, LEFT, RIGHT in sequence, it works fine.

New Patch 1.2 is Live!

It has been an amazing month since we released Ravva and the Cyclops Curse! Thank you for all the support and caring, we are really happy to see so many people liking the game. Your feedback is not only important to make better adjustments for Ravva, but they also help us with our future games. So again, thank you a ton!
This patch is the second and last big patch planned, we may have smaller ones in the future with fixes if needed.
Some players asked for more challenge, so we heard them: Master Mode is now added to the game! To play in this mode, just select OPTIONS in the main menu and change the mode to MASTER. This mode details are:
You will have 3 lives at the start;
Save game is disabled;
Game Over is permanent;
Any extra lives gathered during the stages are converted into points (5k);
The only way to get more lives are through SCORE, with 100k, 250k and 500k;
By completing the game on this mode your score will be DOUBLED as a reward;
To indicate the Master Mode is active, your SCORE will be displayed in RED;

"I don't need them, it is just for show" - Collect 5 lives during a single run in Master Mode.
"You wish I was a mirage" - Defeat the first boss in the Master Mode.
"Master Summoner" - Defeat the Cyclops Lord in the Master Mode.
Some FRENCH typos and mistakes were corrected (thanks Groove Wizard for the help!);
The TUTORIAL now has it's own tileset and got some small corrections;
By standard, now L2/R2 and LT/RT on the controller can also swap summons (thanks MrUnbecoming for the suggestion);
The MOVING SPIKE now has a different visual, making it easier to spot.
And other small visual corrections.
>>Developer Comments: We watched closely how players behaved in the tutorial, making adjustments both in patch 1.1 and now 1.2. We got some feedback saying that the tutorial felt like a small part from the first stage, and we agree. Now we updated the tutorial with its own visuals, making it unique and at the same time visually better for the player to notice details like breakable objects and treasures. We also changed the Moving Spike design. We noticed that some players got confused about why this Spike could not be frozen like the others, what makes sense because it used to have a very similar design. Now the Moving Spike is visually unique and we hope it is enough to avoid similar misleading.

First of all, thank you very much for all the players and supporters of our game! It is really satisfying to see so many people loving our work, this made us the happiest devs on Earth! All this love and caring are really appreciated, thank you a ton!
During these 10 post-release days, we watched closely all the feedback, comments, reviews and videos you all have posted on Discord, Steam, Facebook, Youtube and beyond. After this analysis, we worked on some fixes and additions to make the experience of Ravva and the Cyclops Curse even better. It is not much, but we felt it was needed.
This is the first of the two patches currently planned. Feedback is welcome!

After suggestions from the player base, we decided to add Leaderboards through Steam. It is a simple but fun addition. Good luck with your scores!
How it will work:
All scores are uploaded automatically;
To be eligible for the Leaderboards, you have to beat the minimum 300.000 high scores.
Steam Leaderboards only register the highest scores performed.
High Scores can still be uploaded if Kids Mode is active. However, this mode does not include the PERFECT score bonus.
The score uploaded to the Leaderboards is the last score saved in-game. The game saves if you die, clear a stage or clear the game.
>>Developer Comments: It worth mentioning that the PERFECT bonus is an x200 multiplier over the time left (over x50 that is the regular multiplier) when you finish the stage. This way, players who prefer the Normal mode will be highly rewarded when taking no damage, having more chances of a greater score.

The TIMER text color will now be green if you are still eligible for the PERFECT score bonus.
The TIMER now has a better visual indication when the time is running out. When there is only 60 seconds left, the numbers will turn yellow to finally become red when the counter reaches zero.
The SCORE will now blink every time the player gets a score of 100.000, 250.000 and 500.000. Those are the milestones where the player is rewarded with a bonus LIFE.
LIVES gathered will now pop a "1UP" icon above Ravva's head.
>>Developer Comments: We noticed that some people did not notice they lose a LIFE when the TIMER counter reaches zero, leading to some confusion. Many players also missed the detail that some score milestones are rewarded with an extra LIFE. These are small design mistakes from us. We hope the changes above will make these details easier to understand intuitively.
Some treasures were relocated or had their content modified to better reward explorers.
Some Power-Ups were added or repositioned.
Some platforms were adjusted.
Some small fixes with graphic details.
>>Developer Comments: A lot of gameplay feedback was gathered while we watched people play our game, so we decided to make a few adjustments on the level design. Repositioning some platforms and rewards will have some impact that we hope to be positive. There are not big changes, but we still found them necessary.
