Heyyo Peeps!! How have you been this past month? We here at Magnus Games hope that all of you have been well and are not going through too much difficulties at this time. If you are feeling a bit down, we hope that you can find a bit of joy or excitement reading through this month’s Kickstarter Update, as we have quite a few nuggets of news to share with all of you.
To start it off, we would like to address some of the feedback and comments that we have received in the past month. Firstly, we understand the concerns that have been brought up by the backers and are working our best to remedy the situation. So, let’s start off by introducing the PC exclusive cosmetic item.
We know that some of you were unhappy, and we wouldn’t want to leave out any of our audience from enjoying the content that we’ve prepared. This time, we are giving you the option to vote for which item you would like to see added. Pick Option A for the green beetle backpack or Option B for the red bug backpack. We are listening to all the player and backer feedback that we have been receiving, and we hope that you can let us know what you think about this.
So far a lot of work has gone into polishing Re:Legend in order to get it ready for release. Recently we have been going through a lot of Quality Assurance (QA) and have been rigorously testing the game to make sure that it releases in the best state that it can be in. Some of the changes that we have made are;
Magnus and Player stats have been polished in order to allow for more variety in builds and archetypes. The current live build heavily incentivises making a glass cannon build by either fully investing into the Strength and Intelligence stat, so we’ve tweaked the effectiveness of the various stats to make adding other stats worthwhile.
Magnus Defence and Damage have also been looked into, this is to ensure that Players will have a good time fighting the magnus in the wild, while also have a fun experience capturing and raising them.
Fishing difficulty has been tweaked for a more exciting mini game experience. Certain levels of fish are now more difficult to catch and require players to put some investment into getting better equipment for fishing.
Stamina consumption for various activities have been added and rebalanced. Some of the activities were not consuming stamina as intended, so we have made sure to get the game working as originally intended. Some activities like fishing also now consume stamina as you are fishing, rather than having a chunk taken after completing the mini game.
We are also now working heavily on the online multiplayer side of things. We are working to solve as many Multiplayer bugs that have been reported and those that we have found throughout development. We are also working on improving the network stability of the online experience, which we hope will provide a better experience for all of you.
So what do you guys think about the information in this month’s Kickstarter update? Are you excited or do you have something that you disagree with? Which of the backpacks will you choose? Please let us know by commenting or reaching out to us on the platforms listed down below. We really appreciate all of your feedback, and are working our hardest to answer all the issues that you bring up. We wish you the best of months, till we meet again in the next update.

Magnus Lore Reveal #48 Sabuk
The desert sands of the Everdust betrays the wealth of life that can be found beneath the surface. Home to arguably the most powerful empire that once existed in Ethia, the Everdust was a vibrant metropolis of culture and knowledge. All of that is sadly gone, an age long past, like the wind through the dunes. Remnants of such a civilization can still be seen however, clinging to life, the unnatural Sabuk.
Undeath is a concept foriegn to the magics of Ethia, though many have claimed to be Necromancers, there is no contemporary evidence of such magics being practiced or even existing for that matter. The Sabuk look to be a collection of a human-like skeleton, animated and wielding powerful weapons, protecting the now barren ruins of the old Everdust Empire. The bones radiate powerful magic, and are tougher than the regular bones of a human.
There seems to be a latent intelligence within each member of the Sabuk, it becoming more apparent as the Sabuk rises through the ranks and claiming the position of Lich, Knight or Ranger. Members of the Library are known to have conversed with many a Sabuk, usually in a cordial and almost civilized manner. Many will speak of the Heralding of the Champion, a time when the Everdust will need to be defended from a great and overwhelming threat.

Magnus Lore Reveal #47 Sparkler
Many travellers and adventurers to the Fallen Kingdom would recount the Sparkler as a common sight to behold while traversing through the ruins. The image of a lantern bearing fiery wisp often comes up for many of the modern illustrations of the now volcanic wasteland. According to Library records however, this wasn’t always the case, Sparklers used to be a much rarer occurrence before the Corruption.
The prevailing theory for the origins of the Sparkler is that they are the Souls of the Lost. Persons who have shuffled off the mortal coil, with either regret or vengeance, souls that could not pass on to the realm beyond, left to wander forever seeking. The light of the Sparkler’s lantern also works in a mysterious manner, it will shift directions and shine in weird angles as if guiding the little blue wisp to where it must go.
A recent controversy among the scholars of magnus, is the notion that the Sparkler is in fact not actually a soul, but simply a manifestation of emotion. This goes against all the literature that has come before, explaining the boom in the Sparkler population after the Corruption. The new theory posits that the wisps are actually a manifestation for the emotion of hate, using the evolutions of the sparkler as proof of the eventual increase in violence to bolster the hypothesis.

Re:Legend's Road to 1.0 Milestone Update #1
Heyyo Peeps!! We’re back again this Month’s Re:Legend Update! All of you out there, are you doing well? Have you been keeping healthy? Let us know in the comments below. This month, we have a few features that are coming to the game that we are terribly excited to share with all of you. We hope you are just as excited once you hear what they are.
As we draw closer to the release of Re:Legends 1.0 version, the team is hard at work with Quality Assurance and also fixing many of the bugs that occur throughout the game’s development. We understand that once the game comes out as a complete product, it should ship in the most stable and enjoyable form possible. With that in mind, the team has set out to deliver the most polished product possible for us to achieve.
We have also been working on some new features for the game. One aspect that we felt is important for players to have is being able to collect many different items for different parts of the game. For this, we have made different shops that are tied to different sections of Re:Legend, in order to foster variety in the player’s ability to customize the experience that they gained from the game.
If you are into fishing and all things fish in Re:Legend. You may already know about the Fish Racing activity that we have in the game. Here we have the Pearl Shop, a special shop run by Papa Pia himself, selling all sorts of cool little knick knacks that will reward your time spent on catching and raising your fish to be the fastest racer in Vokka Town.
The Carpenter in Vokka will sell you lots of new furniture to decorate your house to your heart's content. What sort of wallpaper do you fancy? Tiled or Wooden floors? Or do you want 3 cooking stations just for the heck of it? Unlock and Upgrade the Carpenter’s store in order to gain access to all of the cool and cute furniture.
Runestones are a way to spice up the player’s combat experience, it allows players to create builds and cover niches in the player’s role. Yuri the Witch will be handling the sale of Runestones, and more can be found in the world of Ethia.
Re:Legend is now very close to launch, and we are proud to announce that we will be releasing the game with support for multiple languages in batches. Yes, the game will be covering languages like Japanese, Chinese, French, at launch and many many more will follow. We know that there are players out there that may not have English as their primary language, and we would like to provide our experience to them as best we can. Let us know what other languages you want to see to be available for Re:Legend!
Now, something that we’ve been getting a lot of feedback about is the development of the console versions of Re:Legend, and we are listening intently to what you have to say. Currently, we are working closely with 505 games regarding the release of our console versions, and are carefully planning the launch date for them. Know that we are following all the requirements from first parties involved with the release, and we’re doing our best to satisfy and fulfill all the conditions set out for us.
So with the planned release of the console versions, the team has been working on some possible exclusive contents that we would like to show you guys! Here are some sketches for items that will be coming to the game. Depending on the platform that you’re playing on, you may be able to get certain items as a gift. Apart from that, there may also be some magnus that are very special, but we’ll get into the details very very soon.
Apart from content reveals, we are also confident in the consoles porting as the team has ironed out controls and user experience that may affect your experience in Re:Legend. We are also refining a lot of the code structure while debugging to make sure errors and bugs are being cleared in a more efficient way.
So, what do you guys think about this month’s update? Are you excited for the console release of Re:Legend? And what do you think about the items that were shown? Please let us know in the comments or on the social media platforms listed below. We truly are grateful for all of your support, and we are on the edge of finally releasing the product. Please bear with us a little longer, and we’ll be bearing the good news very soon.

Magnus Lore Reveal #42 Mamber
From an age long forgotten by the denizens of Ethia, the Highprinces ruled over the Everdust with an iron grip, instilling the virtues of loyalty and subservience whilst upholding tradition and their supposed divine appointment to the Thrones in the Desert. The Bow was considered a holy weapon, only to be wielded by the nobility and their closest confidants. There were however, situations when the Highprinces’ bows were not the best tool for the job, when daggers and poison were needed to be rid of unsavoury characters. For this the Highprinces had the Mamber.
The usage of tools are usually an indicator for advanced intelligence for an organism. Though not particularly gifted in solving puzzles or building structures, the Mamber is incredibly deft with a dagger and applies highly advanced fighting techniques that other more intelligent practitioners find hard to grasp. Their daggers are usually made from stone or large claws that have been sharpened and will usually be crafted by the wielders themselves.
The Mambers were the best candidates for stealth operations during the times of the Highprinces, they were able to move around quietly, jump astonishingly high, and squeeze through narrow passages. Though they are no longer employed as assassins by any monarch or organization, they remain as a dangerous force to be reckoned with. I would advise not to confront any Mamber unless absolutely necessary. Also don’t try to fight them, unless you like poison being spat in your face.

Magnus Lore Reveal #41 Sparkfox
Throughout history, the denizens of Ethia have always believed in the story of the World Tree and how it was the source of all creation. Though the exact details and players may vary in the retelling between cultures the general sequence of events remain unchanged throughout the years. There is however a peculiar culture that resides in the far eastern fringe of Ethia that have their own set of myths and creation stories, far removed from the Goddess and the Tree tale that is shared by most others. The Sun Goddess, Mother of All Things, the Cleansing Fire, and according to legend the origin of the Sparkfox.
Sparkfoxes can be found in the Volcanic remains of the Old Kingdom, gliding throughout the corrupted lands in search for evildoers and ne'er-do-wells. Even before the fall of the Kingdom to corruption, Sparkfoxes were known to track down criminals and burn those that have done particularly heinous crimes. The Guards of the Old Kingdom have often reported seeing wisps of flame guiding and pointing them to places where criminals are hiding or if someone is in need of help.
The Cleansing of Sins, the fires of the Sparkfox burns with righteous fury. Anything that it deems worthy of being cleansed will be met will a barrage of unrelenting fire. There are times when the sparkfox acts as a second conscience for people that have done small crimes or acted in a bad way. The sight of the sparkfox looking squarely at you is normally an indicator enough of one not acting in the right way and should apologize for whatever wrongdoings were committed that attracted the sparkfox to them.

Re:Legend's Current State And Road to 1.0!
Hey guys! How is everyone doing? This month we have some very exciting news to share with all of you. We also have some updates on our current workflow and what the Magnus Games team is working on during this period. With the current Covid-19 pandemic, we hope that everyone out there is staying safe and healthy. Make sure to practice safe conduct and social distancing to reduce the risk to yourself and your loved ones around you. We here at Magnus Games Studio are still working remotely, but we are still hard at work to get this game to something we hope all of you will love.
So let’s start it off with a bang, we have some very good news to share with all of you. We are expecting to release our 1.0 version of Re:Legend sometime in Q4 of 2020, and yes this will include the release of the console versions of the game as well. We thank all of you that have been patient with the development of the console versions and we understand the feedback of those who have been waiting for the game to come out on console. Still, we are determined to release the best possible product for all the platforms that we will be releasing on.
So, what can you expect from the 1.0 release of Re:Legend. Firstly, it will have the complete story for Re:Legend and the quests will bring you to the epic conclusion of your tale in the World of Ethia (for now). We will also be releasing new Biomes for you to explore, which will include new characters, new quests, and of course new Magnus to encounter. We will also be adding all new features that are not available in the current version of the game, and will be reworking some of the features in the game.
Many of you might have noticed, especially those of you that have the Steam Version of Re:Legend, that the updates have been pretty slow as of late. We would like to sincerely apologize for keeping all of you waiting, and we would like to reassure you that we are still working with the same fervour and determination since the beginning of the project.
To ensure everything goes according to plan, we held off on all the new content before it is ready because the game requires a lot of bug fixing before it is truly enjoyable. We know that the last patch was made in March 2020 and we’re sincerely sorry about that and there have been a lot of improvements since then.
Due to the fact that we’re developing the console version in parallel with 1.0 release, it is difficult to stabilize the game during the development phase hence we have decided to put everything on hold till it is complete. Our current plan is to release all the new content and patches in 1.0 to make sure the experience is wholesome and you will not feel as frustrated as before with all the annoying bugs.
With that being said, we will be releasing a road-map for our 1.0 release and revealing them as we move forward. As you can see in the road-map above, we have also summarized all the things that have been done thus far. All the things in the list from March onward will be added to the game during 1.0 release so don’t freaked out if you don’t see them in the game right now. They will be in the game soon enough! :)
If you’ve been following the past Kickstarter Updates, then features like the Marriage System, House Customization, and Costumes would not be news to you. These are just some of the things that the team has been working on, to get the game to its 1.0 release version. Of course, the team is also working in the Level Design of the new Biome Islands, and getting all the cute (and not so cute) Magnus working for when it eventually releases.
Not only are we working on the new for Re:Legend, we are also taking your feedback and improving the current systems and features that we have in the game. We have reworked the UI and Multiplayer system, changed how you view and interact with quests, and also cleaned up features like the Barn and Fish Pond so that players can have a better time experiencing them.
The team is also doing the final steps of development for the game as it gets closer and closer to the release date. Currently we are going through a thorough Quality Assurance and Bug Testing process in order to weed out whatever pesky bugs are lingering in our code. We are determined to get the game to the point where most if not all bugs are ironed out before its release.
We are currently also working on the balancing for the entire game. Things such as Magnus Stats, Fish Stats, Equipment and Weapon power, and Gold Economy are currently going through the balancing phase. Other than that, we have a team working in all the console porting, getting Re:Legend to work on the multiple consoles we are releasing on. This team is working on the optimization of the game and also implementing features like controller support to Re:Legend.
So, how about it? We are EXTREMELY excited to be able to share with you this news, as it has been months in the making. With the release coming so soon, we hope that all of you are as excited for it as we are. Please share with us your thoughts on all the things that we have said today. Your posts and comments are always taken to heart by the Magnus Games team, and we hope to get some explosive responses this time around. Get ready to mark your calendars soon, we have many more exciting things to share really, REALLY soon. Cheers!!

Magnus Lore Reveal #39 Humbird
Spirits of Wind and Song, the Guardians over the Sands, and the Protectors of Everdust are just some of the names that we have found from the dusty old tomes in the Library. All of these refer to the humble humbird, and all of its grown incarnations. Although it may not seem it now, the Humbird was one of the most populous Magnus in all of the Everdust. Filling homes, accompanying travellers and flying free under the Everdust Sun, the Humbirds dominated the local landscape with its soft breezes and amazing arias.
The ancient societies of the Everdust held the Humbird with very high regard. In the old desert kingdoms, killing a Humbird is seen as a crime which normally led to harsh and often brutal punishment. The bow wielding nobles and the elite of the Old Everdust would normally have a Humbird as their companion. As a pet or a hunting partner, their owners would usually get very attached to the humbird often spending more time with it compared to other people. Such was the standing of the Humbird during the Everdust’s Golden Age.
The Humbird has two forms that it can mature into, those being the Hymnbird and the Gustbird. The Hymnbird is a master at controlling the healing winds, being able to close even the deepest cuts and mend bones by simply using wind magic. The Gustbird on the other hand uses wind magic for a much more destructive purpose. Unlike the soft feathers on the Hymnbird, the Gustbird has razor sharp feathers that can slice with terrifying effectiveness. They both make wonderful companions, but stay away from the sharp bits.

Magnus Lore Reveal #38 Skreetle
All magnus were spawned from the Tree of Origins, that is the lore that has been passed down for generations in Ethia. Our understanding of creation stems from the mythology of the Goddess and her fight against the demons. But when left to question, the Librarians pondered, what truly is life and where does it come from. Is life an energy, or an element like fire and ice? Maybe the answer can be found from the humble Skreetle over in the Ruined Kingdom.
The Skreetle are an anomaly, a remnant of what once was, and the keepers of the Old Kingdom in an unfortunate way. When first setting eyes on a Skreetle, its most apparent feature would be the bright, luminescent, green sacs around their claws and abdomen. These sacs are not filled with venom or poison as was first theorized, but with the materialized essence of life energy itself. Touching the fluid like substance will heal the gravest of wounds and can even heal the sick.
As bizarre as it sounds, the Skreetle actually attacks by injecting life energies into its target. With an appropriate amount, this would actually heal whomever was injected, but when injected with too much, it would destroy the integrity of the target’s body. We know that the Old Kingdom was a bastion to a bounty of nature and life seem to spring from the ground itself. Perhaps the Skreetle is a reflection of those days, or perhaps all the life in the land was taken to fill those bright green sacs.

Magnus Lore Reveal #34 Pander
When discussing about Magnus, it is not unusual to assume that we are talking about wild creatures that live in simple and natural habitats. There are only a few Magnus that are classified to have sapience, at least from the ones that have been discovered and recorded by the Library. The Blipking on Vokka Island is one example of a sapient magnus, and also Busterina the famous Bushbrawler musician. There is however one species of Magnus that has created a whole community and civilization of their own, the Pander.
Panders live in the mountains of the Frigid Tundra, relatively isolated and protected from most of the cold. The Panders have built a society around the prophecy of the coming doom, readying themselves for the End that is to Come. A Pander’s life is filled with training and growth, each Pander will be allowed to choose which path it wishes to take and it eventually leads to different evolutions when the time comes. The three distinct paths of the Pander ultimately teaches the same principles, strength and discipline will allow the Pander race to escape from Doom.
Despite having a unified goal the three paths of the Pander have three different versions of the prophecy and when asked would say that theirs is the legitimate and true version of the prophecy. The Library is not able to find much in terms of evidence to support each path’s claims, nor could we find the origins of the prophecy in the historical and archeological findings in the Tundra. Despite their constant squabbling, the Panders were able to build an advanced settlement and an organized society, which is truly a great achievement.
