It has been a while since our last Producer’s Letter, and what better occasion to do it than the anniversary of Realm Exalt Open Beta. Yes! It already has been a year since everyone is able to enjoy our new Unity Client. Not sure about you, but for us this year passed very fast. With everything going on in the world we needed to adjust a lot of how we work, but we strived to never slow down improving the game and delivering new content.
A lot has happened in the last year. We had a lot of issues at the beginning with Exalt Client. While our development team was working on its stability, our design team was delivering new content for the game. The first thing that we released was the 16th class for the game - the Bard. A new support class, which is able to inspire other characters and extend the range of their attacks. Finally, on July 22 we decided to make it our official client but, at the same time, still enabling playing on Flash. With this big change another huge thing has been released in the realm, namely a certain 32x32 boss. Of course we are talking about Oryx 3. Sanctuary brought the endgame to a new level and provided some unique items.
After these two things were out, we concentrated on delivering MotMG 2020. And it was a big one! Exaltations, Vital Combat, new Vault UI, Potion Vault, four reconstructed dungeons, High Tech Terror, Fame rework, and more. Definitely the biggest MotMG in history. But we did not stop with the big releases there. Next stop for us was Oryxmas 2020 and another big drop of content: three more dungeons were reconstructed, reworked quick slots, and finally the long anticipated Item Forge was introduced. This was a strong end of the year for us and we didn’t want the beginning of 2021 to be any different. The recent release of the Summoner and the two new reconstructions are a good proof of it. And let's not forget all the other small changes that have happened in the meantime: adding transparency, making countless balancing changes, reworking some seasonal encounters, adding a new notification system, and much more.
What is even more impressive is the work that our UGC members did in the past year: - Ancient Ruins dungeon made by Sturky - Third Dimension dungeon made by Aurum - All the new ST sets - All of the new Agent of Oryx items - Massive amounts of art for cosmetics, items, and, of course, their own dungeons. All of these were possible only because of the amazing work that the UGC members (testers, artists, XML creators, music creators) are putting into this game. And for this we are grateful to them.
One especially exciting internal event we had with UGC was DunJam! Our participating UGC designers and artists were split into three teams (along with a handful of testers exclusive to each project for feedback) and were given two weeks to conceptualize and develop a dungeon. Of course, no dungeon gets completely done in such a short time frame, but like a GameJam, the real test is in which team can make the most fun, creative, and well-realized concept within the time frame. We have also allowed our unbelievably passionate UGC members to continue working from what was made during the DunJam after it ended. Who knows, sometime in the not-too-distant future, you might see one or more of these entries released as an official dungeon in a fully finished state!

The weekend is almost here, and with it (hopefully) more time to play RotMG. With the update we are releasing today we want to make your weekend better: we will be fixing some disconnection issues; fixing the doubling of some stats boosts given by exaltation, and also fixing bugs affecting item swapping from the potion vault. After updating the client, you might get a popup that tells you you need to download a new build. If this happens, close your launcher and re-open it. You should now be able to download the proper build.
Events update Snake Pit will drop 1.5x loot and xp from 04-11-2021, 12:00 UTC to 04-16-2021, 12:00 UTC.
Toxic Sewers will also drop 1.5x loot and xp from 04-13-2021, 12:00 UTC to 04-18-2021, 12:00 UTC.

IGN, Nationality and Age? Hey guys, ValsinedGM here coming to you straight from Bulgaria, and I am turning 26 years old this year.
What is your job? Tell us about it. I am currently occupying the Senior CS Agent position, meaning my primary objective is to handle player requests sent to us on the Customer Support Desk. The day-to-day stuff I do is really interesting for me because I usually handle the more specific issues / bugs that players are facing.
It allows me to really get my hands dirty with the technical stuff. Let me tell you that when there is a shortage of such tickets it’s a good sign for us and the players. It means we are delivering a good quality product. But when I get some of those tickets – oooh man, don’t get me started! Nothing feels better than solving a tough one.
Any hidden talents or hobbies? Well… here at Deca we always add context to this question by saying – “No exceptions, everyone has a hidden talent, so spit it out!”.
And in accordance with this standard, I wanna share a very intriguing talent of mine – which is that I am really good at getting hiccups, almost as good as getting rid of them. I could apply for the hiccup prevention hotline. For many of you, I realize that may be an odd talent but believe me – if you get hiccups as often as I do, this talent can more accurately be described as a superpower.
As for hobbies – I used to be a very hardcore gamer. Recently I’ve let that go and became a casual in that regard. But the same can’t be said for my other big hobby – which is programming. I love to automate parts of my workflow or make others more efficient, and some of you may have heard of this saying from a wise man:
– “Never spend 6 minutes doing something by hand when you can spend 6 hours failing to automate it”
And to be honest with you – based on my experience – it holds true to this day.

Hello Realmers,
With this release you’ll be able to drink potions from the Potion Vault again. Its purpose is also to make some adjustments to improve the way we fight bots.
We are also very happy to tell you that, within the spirit to fight bots and hacked clients, we will be reintroducing a working Flash version.
Yes, it may come across as a “if you can’t beat them, join them” approach… because it is! We have a working version that some of our testers have already tried out, and this hotfix will allow us to add some features we couldn’t before. This was due to Flash’s limitations. We managed to work around it, creating a hybrid engine that will run the flash file (swf). Oh, and you won’t find it available to manually download: the files will be automatically downloaded with the update.

How’s that Summoning going? We are excited about these events starting today in the Machine and Deadwater Docks. Of course, it’s easter… so there will be lots of eggstra action going on in the Realm as well, and it is the perfect time to get your Easter Knight Set.
We haven’t been this excited with a release in a long time! Today we are unleashing a new class, the Summoner, and introducing two major dungeon reworks: Deadwater Docks and Sprite World. There is also a new notification system and a Knowledge Base website.
Finally, we have rolled out the biggest anti-bot measures ever in the history of the Realm. This gives us more and better tools to work with in the next couple of weeks to make sure those pesky little buggers don’t bug you again. The bots will not magically disappear but we will keep on working on improving these measures. We feel enthusiastic about them and hope you will also see the difference!
Hey Realmers, The Heroes of the Nexus have spoken and have decided to aid the Prisoner. Congrats #teamcrystal! While being released she kept mumbling: “Curse the hand that touches this magic, as it is only a trick of my Enemy to keep angering me and my people.” Deep down she knows some old powers are awakening.
Surpassing the 150k quests completed means that the free pack will contain the Crystal Mace blueprint, 4 Backpacks, 4 Adventurer’s belts, 3 Mystery ST Chests, 2 Golden Lucky Clovers and a Vault Chest Unlocker.
The rewards will be available as a free pack on Friday, 2nd of April.

Hello Realmers, It’s Friday and by now you are all used to it being #spoilertime. And there’s no bigger spoiler than what we are saying upfront: It’s official, we are unleashing the Summoner on Tuesday, the 30th of March. On the 31st we are starting a New campaign called “A New Power” (hmm… what might this be?…).It will finish on the 13th April. There will be events on: Deadwater Docks; Sprite World; Ancient Ruins; Candyland Hunting Grounds; Lost Halls; The Shatters; Snake Pit and Toxic Sewers. During the whole eggvent you may engage in an Egg Hunt with Biff, the Buffed Bunny in the Realm. We will also be distributing some free packs and fame boxes throughout the eggvent. And, speaking of April, are also sharing the April Login Calendar with you. You can learn more about what’s to come in the Spring Eggvent Calendar we are sharing.
