Redout: Space Assault

Redout: Space Assault adds RTX and DLSS support!

Redout: Space Assault enhances your space shooting with NVIDIA DLSS and ray traced shadows and reflections for a faster and more immersive experience.

Activating NVIDIA DLSS boosts performances, enabling all GeForce RTX Series graphics cards to play at a super smooth framerate, perfect for the game’s high-speed action. Ray traced shadows and reflections bring all the architectural elements to life. Softer and more detailed shadows on the hulls of fighter and boss ships, including the player's ship, make them more realistic and the added reflections from the surrounding environment really make them stand out.

  • Nvidia DLSS support for sizzling fast 4K or raytraced 1080p battles.
  • Ray traced illumination, shadows and reflections for gleaming space environments with natural lights and colors.
  • Better tuning of graphic quality settings.
  • Minor QoL fixes.

Weekend Hotfix #1

Thanks to the many players that tried Redout: Space Assault at launch!

Some unexpected issues have arisen and we felt the need to upload a flash weekend patch to fix the most blatant one: the AUTOFIRE option is now disabled by default. This is intended as an extra accessibility option, not as the default way to play the game.

Also, we are currently investigating HDR and other minor and major issues that you flagged. No QA team, no matter how awesome and dedicated, can hold a candle to you, the hive mind, when it comes to spotting problems.

We'd like to take this chance to remind that other accessibility options, such as inverted controls and sensitivity, are available from the game menu.

On a final note: once again, we realize there are tons of space sims and roguelikes out there. Redout: Space Assault is a different type of game, at a different price point. We currently don't have a demo for you to try and decide if this game is for you, but the second video on the store page is 100% gameplay: that should further help you in taking an informed decision.

Peace

Redout: Space Assault launches on January 22nd, 2021

Redout: Space Assault puts you in control of a Super Orbital Recon Fighter during the colonization of Mars. A thrilling combination of fast-paced action with roguelike elements is at the core of this single-player gaming experience. Intense dogfights using a wide range of weaponry are set in an incredibly detailed universe with stunning visuals.

The year is 2395. Humanity is facing the most perilous, daunting, and desperate challenge in its existence: fleeing Earth. Hundreds of satellites, drones, and terraforming robots have been sent to the outskirts of the Solar System. Brave scientists and colonists have taken off towards inhospitable new worlds, often on one-way journeys, to build a new home for humanity. Now, tales of lush green landscapes, rivers, and abundant resources run through the void on radio messages, from the Moon to Mars.

You are Leon Barret, a starfighter pilot caught in the middle of an interplanetary conflict. Assemble your fighter and upgrade its engines, wings, and shield generators to take on more and more powerful enemies - from Combat Corvettes to gargantuan vessels - and set sail toward the stars.
